I was driving past today when I saw the sign saying best cheesecake in all of New Jersey well. I took that as a challenge to myself so I pulled an illegal U-turn parked my car and went inside. I was greeted with a nice smile by a lovely lady, Behind the counter who asked me How could she help me? I said, could I please have the best cheesecake in all of New Jersey? She said I sure could and now that I've had the cheesecake. I can say of the 212 previous New Jersey cheesecakes that I had. This is now number one but I am not dead yet. The quest continues.

Going full on 5 stars. These people are great, their food is prepared wonderfully and they accommodate anything you ask. Had two perfectly baked pies tonight and some excellent garlic rolls. The co owner was hand making chocolates when I got there but was nice enough to share in some good conversation with me while I was there. It's great to see good folks like this succeeding in their business. Love this place!!

Having said that I absolutely love This bar and it's staff of typically consists of the bartender or bartenders and possibly a bar back. The professionalism is a pleasure to watch and it's only the second bar I remember being in that actually mulls the fruits of a Manhatten. Food has always been excellent though for some reason they won't do their mussels to go. I have noticed that on certain nights the bar staff has had multiple people in and people coming in to order food and being told that the bar was closing early and the kitchen was already closed. I was having a nice conversation with the couple next to me and there were at least fifteen other people that were having a good time. Yet somehow we All had to leave early on a day that their closest other bar is closed on Monday so that leaves only two bars in reasonable driving distance from all of the Lord's valley and dingmans ferry areas to get food and drinks from. All I have to say is that whoever is th e two people who bartend during those days are more like the girl from Willy Wonka that the squirrels sent down the shoot.

I wanted a place to meet a family member in the area. While, she didn't know about this spot, her adult children/friends did, at least one being a coffee connoisseur! We were looking for coffee where we could sit down and chat & with her dog; this is THE place! It was a hot day and mid afternoon so she enjoyed a strawberry smoothie, and I had a large iced tea and appreciated that they could put it in my own cup. The service was friendly as you'd expect in 'the country.' We also shared a strawberry muffin that tasted like spring as we sat outside. The dog also seemed to appreciate the lovely breeze. Great atmosphere with a surprising amount of seating in and outside even as it doesn't appear that large from the outside. I did see a nice list of sandwiches, but had already eaten my sandwich at the S2H vista. We did see a steady flow of neighbors come and go; the parking lot, while three-quarter full was still ample. More reasons to go back to the area to hike, & connect with family at this coffee stop & more. A respite.

A menu made up of heavenly comfort food from fried chicken, to meatloaf and gravy, burgers, fries, and an unbelievable assortment of pies baked in house. My girlfriend and I came here for lunch on a Sunday in January after hiking for three hours in 25 degree weather at nearby High Point State Park. It was incredibly satisfying to slide into a booth and immediately be enveloped in the warmth and hospitality of this restaurant after such a cold and tiring morning. We both got the meatloaf platter which was on special. It came with two slices of meatloaf smothered in gravy, two slices of homemade bread smothered in butter, and three sides: fries, cole slaw and corn. It was hearty and delicious. Our waitress was far and away one of the kindest and friendliest people I've ever met. She made our experience a thousand times better. As others have mentioned, cash only so be prepared! I loved this restaurant and highly recommend it to others!

Ordered meatloaf sandwich special ($11!) which was simply a big piecce of delicious, melt in your mouth meatloaf between two thick slices of that homemade bread. Accompanied by potato salad and cole slaw, both homemade. Haven't tasted anything like that since my own grandmother was alive. (And to top off the old fashioned ambience, when I ordered a Coke, they said they only serve RC Cola) Definitely worth the trek, and I can't wait to go back and bring my family!
