Martin and his crew did a great job servicing my brakes. They were clean, transparent, informative, and communicative. From the product education to the install the process was seamless and felt assured the job was done right. I recommend Up & Auto to everyone with car troubles read more

This guy is not trustworthy, I setup an appointment with him today at 9, it's currently 10am and he won't respond or answer. After looking further into him I found that he used to have a twitter but it's been deleted. His website doesn't have a working phone number. He has a Facebook account with one review that describes how he conned another person out of his money. I'm not sure how he has so many positive reviews on google but it definitely doesn't reflect the experience I have had. He did prompt me to pay before coming out but I'm so glad I didn't. Please be careful and do extensive research before hiring someone based on google reviews. My guess is he probably has friends and relatives leaving phony reviews for him. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! SERIOUS SCAM!!! If I could give him 0 stars I would. He comes out and charges a bunch of money for a diagnostic, says he can fix it, and then tells you he will come back a certain day. He quite literally cost me two PTO days + a day of needing rides to and from work because he kept saying everyday he was going to come and then would ghost me completely and apologize at the end of the day. He ended up ghosting me altogether. I wish I never would have come across this company... I would have just paid to have the car towed to a place that isn't a complete scam. You will regret hiring him without a doubt. read more

Stole from my wife and never delivered service. He will lead you on, gaslight and lies to you.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE all around BUT the company did do the RIGHT thing finally and gave me a partial refund of my deposit.

Martin was truly a lifesaver, my car started smoking and me not knowing what it was made me panic. So me feeling like it was the end of the world(figuratively speaking) I came across a mobile mechanic that could get to me in no time because I couldn't drive my car. So I reached out to Martin he asked me to send a pic of the issue and he knew exactly what needed to be done. He got my parts that I needed and boom me blowing my coolant line because of a sensor that went out was easily fixed by Martin and that's all I could say was THANKYOU you're truly a BLESSING. So I would highly recommend if you're having any car troubles and or issues Martin is the man to fix it and you won't regret it. read more

Just recently took a trip to Texas and had a snapped belt on our car and a dead battery from the weather. Martin and Eric came and helped us with great service with great value! Even lead us in prayer for safe travels. The repair helped us get home safely. Thank you UP and Auto. read more

Martin is great! He always replies to my texts and calls right away and takes the time to explain the problem and weigh the solution options thoroughly. I trust he always gives me the service that will be the most affordable and efficient. He is polite, friendly and very professional :) read more

Martin has been very forthcoming information and final price came out to what was estimated. Very friendly to work with and the convenience of him coming to my home to replace the A/C compressor on my truck is much appreciated. read more

Martin was great! Got my car in working order. Price was reasonable considering its a mobile mechanic. Fast response time. Needed a locksmith and Martin was able to connect me with another reliable business to help me with my car keys. God forbid I need another repair but if I do I will certainly contact Martin again. read more

I contacted 6 mobile mechanics to solve an A/C issue we had in our minivan. Martin was the first one to respond and he was able to schedule me for the following day. He diagnosed the issue quickly and solved the problem for us. His prices are fair and he knows his stuff. I will definitely use him again. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This man told us he could replace our glow plug. Ended up BREAKING it off inside our vehicle, then told us he couldn't fix it and then HELD our keys until we paid him. This guy is not only dishonest but an absolute joke of a mechanic! read more

Will get the job done but you might have to beg him as communication is spotty at times. Stated he would get the car done the next day and didn't for another 3 days. I'd go somewhere else if I knew it would be that way from the start. Nice person but wasn't professional to keep pushing the job to the next day and suddenly becoming unresponsive. read more

Martin has been my go to mechanic for over a year now. I have an older car and he has been able to fix every issue. His prices are beyond fair and he and his team are extremely reliable. I needed his services on New Years Day and he made the time to meet me at his garage so I could leave my car. He is very personable and honest - He will always be my go to for any auto issues. Thank you Martin! read more

Martin replaced the front struts and shocks on my truck. While doing this he did not attach the tie rod to the steering knuckle correctly and my truck lost the ability to steer while driving with a 1 year old in the car. He charged me $500 after initially asking for $600. He said it was most likely because my bearing was old (meaning I would have to get a new part and pay him for more work) so I took it to a shop to ensure that was the isssue before spending more money. After getting it repaired at a shop in bee cave, they assured me that my bearing had nothing to do with what happened and his work was the only cause of my truck losing steering and that anything over $300 for the job he did was too high. After telling him what happened he responded "No warranty when customers provide parts, sorry buddy" even though the parts I provided had nothing to do with what happened, and offered no refund whatsoever. During my first phone call with him, his first question was about how much I wanted to spend instead of telling me what he charges for the job requested. At one point even said "sometimes with fixing cars, you don't know why something worked but it just works" should've asked him to leave right there. Keep in mind I am a friend of one of his family members and this is the service I got read more

terrible mechanic. Dont recommend. he broke a glow plug and said it's my problem now and refused to fix it and demanded payment. he took my keys and said I would t get keys back until payment. he refused to fix the repairs and told me I needed a better mechanic and it wasnt his problem anymore. worse experience ever. read more

Up and Auto Mobile Mechanic Service - Auto Repair Near Me

Worst mechanic experience of my life. He showed up telling us he can fix our car the next day but needed half up front. He tells me he's on his way the next day so I head over when I get there he is already working on my car and says he's already done and needs the rest of the payment. I went to check under the hood and he stopped me and said he's finished the job and anything I touch after that I'll be responsible for and that he needed the payment immediately(big red flag). I went ahead a paid him (rookie mistake) he jumped in his car and was around the corner before I realize he didn't instal the part I paid him for (paid for the part and labor). Now refuses to answer the phone and says if it's wrong that's on me. NEVER USE THIS MECHANIC. read more

This is the third time I've used these guys and got the same exceptional service again! I have an old truck that needed a tune up. Martin showed up at my house and did the whole thing in my drive way. I love the convenience as I am very busy and did not have to miss work. As usual he showed up on time, quoted me a fair price and completed the work beyond expectations. I continue to refer friends and family to up and auto! read more

Been given excuse after excuse stating that work will be done. I get random quotes saying it would be this much and as soon as I decide to get parts myself the price for service increased. Odd, okay I get it he wants a cut of the parts he gets and keeps the change. Was promised certain days to get the job done and then the day of Martin would completely ghosts me and postpone to next week. I already put a deposit down for $200 and I've come to terms I won't get any work or money back at this point in time. This mechanic will definitely bite more than he can chew and will gas light you if you even get a little impatient. I don't know if I caught him at a bad time, but I really wanted to give him a second chance but due to still waiting for him to even reach back it is what it is. If you want to deal with a repair that could be drug out for weeks on end this is your guy. read more

I can't say enough great things about Martin. I went with Martin because he had stellar reviews here on Yelp. I can say from my experience those reviews are true. He's professional, knowledgeable and fair. He was very thorough with my vehicle and treated as his own. If your in a bind right now reading this...stop and call Martin. Here's what happened. My truck wouldn't start in a parking lot on Thursday morning. I changed the battery myself and the truck still wouldn't start. When I heard one single click I knew it had to be the starter. I called Martin around 11am that day and he said he could fit me in. He showed up a few hours later. He was very professional and kind. He puts you at ease right away by being calm and knowledgeable. I knew my truck was in good hands. He ran a diagnostic and confirmed the starter needed to be changed and he found a leak in a thermostat hose that was giving me tons of problems. Since it was late in the afternoon he asked if he could come out and take care of everything in the morning. That worked for me. By 1 pm the next day everything was wrapped up and running like a dream. Martin kept me up to date through the process. He was also upfront and fair about pricing, which I liked. Not only is he a great mechanic, that will come to you, he's a great guy who will take care of your vehicle like his own. I'm going to use Martin for all my car maintenance, not just in an emergency. read more

Would 100% recommend Martin and Francisco to anyone who needs their auto repaired. They went above and beyond to make sure our questions were answered. Thank you Martin for offering your help when you noticed me and my mom struggling in that auto parts department yesterday. VERY much appreciated. Thank God Martin was in the right place at the right time. We met him yesterday and within minutes he was on his way to my house to do some really impressive work on my truck. Martin is very honest and gives you his best advice in regards to anything concerning your vehicle. On top of all this, he's just a great guy and I had a good time talking with him and Francisco! Working with them has given me a lot of peace of mind and has been a very enjoyable experience. Martin and Francisco are the best mechanics I've ever worked with. Their service, work, and ethics are unmatched. They do excellent work and I won't trust my truck being worked on with anyone else in town! Just wanted you to know about the good experience I had yesterday, and will spread the word to all. You have a customer for life! Martin came to my house. I described the problem (jammed broken spark plug with a stuck extraction bit inside). He says that he can get it out, said that he had the thin that he needed for the repair, but he just had to get them. He quoted a price, of which I paid half. Afte an hour, i inquired about his return to start the work. He cla he was "in his way". That was Saturday evening. He never returned. After some repeated texts from me, he became angry and very disrespectful, calling me "stupid", and using a homophobic slur, falsely cla that he would still do the work. After such an unprofessional and disrespectful tirade which angered me very much, I called police and filed a report. I believe that it is something that he has done before, promising to do a job then reneging on the deal. In no way would I recommend him for any work read more

This is a fantastic experience, top to bottom. I've used their services twice now, nothing but satisfied both times. They're knowledgeable, friendly, affordable, professional, and they come right to your house. The mechanic field is always hard to navigate, to find the right balance between quality work and affordable prices, but they are the best I've worked with. 100% recommend. I know I'll be calling them the next time I have any auto issues. read more

Martin of Up & Auto Mobile Mechanic Service exceeded our expectations upon our initial interaction. His expertise was clear. He was informative, on time, reasonably priced and we definitely plan to use him again. He saved us from making a bad investment on a used vehicle we were considering purchasing! Definitely plan to use him again, and have already recommended him to friends. Dont look elsewhere! Hihgly recommended. read more

Excellent!!! Magically he was available within a few hours of my call and came to where I was. He gave me a solid quote with no extra charges or surprises at the end of the service. Extremely cost efficient in my opinion. Quick service, reliable, honest, knowledgeable, and gave me some tips for my future purchase of parts. I already had the part and just needed the change/Service completed. He ran some tests and (of course) the test came back as if it was semi- ok. After I explained the problem a bit more, he agreed that the alternator did in fact need to be changed. Martin and his colleague were fantastic. Not that I'm looking forward to my next car troubles situation, but I am looking forward to working with Martin again and will definitely be referring him to all my friends in the area. read more

I have been a client of Up and Auto for approximately 2 years and can say without reservation that I would never use anyone else! Martin takes customer service to a whole new level. I have an older vehicle that required front and rear brake work over time. On each occasion, Martin correctly identified and explained the problem in terms that a non-mechanical person would understand. He also considered my budget and gave me high and low-end estimates to choose from for parts and labor, explaining the advantages & disadvantages of each option. Upon completion of the repair, he tests and retests meticulously to be certain that the desired result has been accomplished. All of the above was done with the utmost professionalism, integrity, and courtesy. No surprise charges. He has decades of experience in automotive repair and extensive knowledge about the intricacies of both old and new technology. If you want an expert job at a fair price by someone who knows and LOVES the work - Martin is your man! read more

You can stop looking now. I'm serious. Martin is as good as it gets. I've never had the kind of experience with a car mechanic where I want to go out and recommend them to everyone I know, but working with Up and Auto has changed that. It was the only shop to answer when I called a few mobile shops after 6 on a Friday (all advertising 24/7 service), and Martin was at my location within half an hour. Martin knows what he's doing--it's impossible to fake being truly good at what you do, and this guy is a car master. He's done an equally impressive job on both my 2011 Subaru and my 2002 Mercedes (which he fixed up like new for me to sell to a private party that same day). He's thorough in his assessment, and will take the time to answer any questions you have along the way. He doesn't try to upsell by overcomplicating or convoluting an issue, so by the time you talk cost you're not hit with a surprise you weren't expecting. You can't take such a confident and honest approach if you're not able to really stand behind your work. Summary: Working with Martin is like being able to call up your car genius buddy when your car starts smoking to do you a favor and check out the issue vs. having to take it in to [insert traditional retailer here] where you never really know what you're getting/how much it might put you out. In addition to Martin, the overall experience of using a mobile mechanic has me feeling like a fool for not doing it sooner. I can't believe I spent so much time living in a world where taking my car in to the shop meant having to block time out of work, soliciting a friend/colleague to follow me there for drop off, then guiltily tapping said friend/colleague on the shoulder a few hours later to take me back for pickup. Martin will meet you where you are, and (in both my cases with him) fix the issue there on-site. Unlike leaving your car at a shop for hours and leaving it up to them to be honest about service time/cost, Martin's time is spent focused on you and only you. Plus, you don't have to worry about him throwing on 10 extra minutes here and there to stack a few extra bucks on the bill--efficient and thorough service is inherently in everyone's best interest. It feels good to work with a local, passionate professional instead of going to a big-box shop where a percentage of your bill is going to the shop's AC bill. Try it once--I guarantee you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. read more

A mobile mechanic; he will go to your home or work so you won't have to waste time and money. Martin is an excellent mechanic who will go the distance to explain what the technical or mechanic issue happens to be with your car. He takes the time to speak mechanic language to translate it in human words. Highly recommended by my coworker, now I am recommending him to my colleagues and friends in the city of Austin. Trust me. I've shopped around and compared prices with locals and corporate. read more

I am an intermediate DIY'er and do fairly complex jobs including auto repair. during an attempt to replace my car's steering pump, I ran into a road-block that required a special technique and tool. I highly recommend his services to anyone. thanks Martin for the help! read more

Martin was fantastic- he'll definitely be my go-to mobile car mechanic moving forward. I was having issues with my vehicle and took it to a local shop. Without even trying to asses the issue they quoted me a ridiculous amount to fix what they "thought" was the issue.
