Our Artistic Director Lesly Kahn scheduled an in office chair massage for her office staff. Ashley arrived a little early, was very friendly and professional got set up and then the magic began to happen. Each of the staff went in to the room excited and came out floating on a cloud of relaxation. All of them raved about her amazing technique. Great service. They came over to my place. I had the whole amazing spa treatment right at home. They worked withy schedule and scheduled an appointment later in the evening after my baby's bedtime. I did the gel mani pedi and 1 hour massage. Both the ladies were super nice and professional. Even when I had to pause couple times when my baby woke up. I am so happy that this company exist. I hired Unwind for a bachelorette party at an Airbnb for 8 of us ladies. Booking was easy and clear about how much everything would cost. I appreciated tip was included already because day of was hectic and nice it was done and didn't have to think about what percent or have cash on hand. Orawan is the most talented massage therapist I've ever had. Her massage technique is incredibly relaxing while also targeting areas of tension. I've had flare ups of herniated discs in my neck, most recently a month ago, and Orawan skillfully applied just the right pressure in just the right places to relax relevant muscles in my neck and shoulders. Pre-pandemic I couldn't really justify the cost of an in-home massage but now, with an Immunosuppressed spouse, it's worth every penny and more - particularly with Orawan. I recently hosted a "Girl's Night In" Baby Sprinkle hangout at my house. Essentially, a pajama mini spa party in my own home. The owner, Monica, made the process of planning and booking so easy for me. She emailed me different pricing options and spoke to me on the phone to figure out the best bang for my buck (like do I book hourly or per person or what service to provide for guests, etc.). In the end, I had 2 nail specialists and 1 massage therapist come out to my house for 3 hours. With about 14 girls, we all managed to get a 15 minute chair massage and have either a mini mani / mini pedi / or polish changes. The UNWIND staff was very professional, timely, brought clean equipment, had good personalities, and were very good at their craft. Everyone felt great and everybody's nails were on point! AMAZING! I always call at the last minute for a same day massage in Los Angeles and I am always accommodated even though I generally do not expect to be because of my late notice. I really had high hopes for my mani-pedi. I figure if I am going to pay $128, plus tip, plus parking, I am going to get a pretty solid mani-pedi. Pros: *They took my appointment same day, which was really cool *Tech showed up 30 min early *You can schedule your appointments online and pay online. The owner will even text if that is how you prefer to communicate. Major props for being tech savvy - so few businesses are these days, so i consider this a great convenience perk *The tech was friendly *Got to keep the pumice stone the tech used - pretty cool Cons: *The tech had very long, fake nails with green colored stuff under a few of her nails. Not sanitary by any means.... Her t-shirt with company logo had a stain....didn't give me confidence in overall cleanliness of the service *The box that she soaked the used tools in had some dark colored spots in the bottom - I was unclear if that's how the tools were cleaned in between patients or not, but it is always concerning when you see a pattern of not-so-very-clean items *My cuticles weren't trimmed as thoroughly as my $15 regular - that to me is really one of the most important part of a mani because it can make your nails look clean & tidy or bit sloppy *Toe polish was sloppy - definitely polish here and there on my skin *The tech asked for me to pay for her parking, even though I gave her a $25 tip - 20%. Really?! Overall, the cons outweigh the pros for me - I would say that for a $40 mani/pedi or a $128 mani/pedi. Cleanliness and attention to detail are just simply too important to me - ESPECIALLY if I am going to pay a 300% premium for the service. read more

I booked and had my massage back in April 2012. The booking process was pretty smooth and straightforward. I called and gave her my date preferences, type of massage I wanted, and how to park in my apartment complex. The lady was very patient taking down my info and emailed me the forms to sign and the name of my masseuse by the next day. On the day of my massage, my masseuse showed up on time with table and all her equipment in hand. She was very nice and didn't waste any time setting up everything in my living room. She brought her ipod and plugged it into my portable speaker (she had forgotten hers) but it was pretty cool how she had everything set up in a matter of minutes (music playing, full length massage table and sheets all set up). She asked me what I wanted her to focus on and she did a great job listening to my input. I usually like my massages to be quiet (so I can just relax and not think about anything) and she was pretty good about not trying to chat with me too much (there was some talk but it was fine - she was just being very friendly). The experience overall was pretty good! In terms of convenience - if you just need a massage and don't have time to go anywhere, then I would definitely recommend this place. I'm on the fence if I would book again -only because I really like the ambiance of being in a massage room somewhere else. For some reason it was hard to forget the fact that I was still in my living room, so it kind of took a little bit away from the experience (but not through any fault of their own). I very much appreciated that UNWIND is able to respond to last minute requests for massage appointments. Monica is very helpful, courteous and responsive.
