We wouldn't have been able to have a wedding celebration at all without Grace! There's just too many moving parts to a wedding and we've seen others who were just too stressed out during their own wedding planning process who may have had emotional breakdowns. Therefore, just the thought of trying to plan a wedding was too overwhelming for us and we weren't insistent on it. This was especially so since we were planning for a wedding in Southern California while we live in Northern California. However, we needed a wedding celebration because it's a once-in-a-lifetime thing for our families. We opted for partial planning services with Grace, but it honestly felt more like a full planning service. Since our consultation to our wedding day, Grace was a tremendous help. Not only did she provide recommended vendors and reach out to each of them for quotes, but she communicated with them on behalf of us during the entire process and helped us negotiate prices to help us with our budget. When it came to contracts with our venue, she was wonderful at offering suggestions so that we could meet our F&B minimum without sacrificing guest experience. We also wanted to do a short tea ceremony the day of at the venue, and during the process, Grace helped us work with the venue to accommodate that. Grace also joined in on our calls with vendors which was a huge deal, since we weren't familiar with the venue or what was allowed/not allowed. Grace was also pregnant and had delivered a baby during our wedding planning process, but was still answering vendor emails for us and checking in on us that entire time! We also had a specific type of rehearsal/welcome dinner in mind and Grace went and booked the perfect place for us, even checking in to make sure we were aware of plans and where we were with our budget. Our venue was not so great at communicating, so there was an event the day before our wedding (especially annoying since our wedding party had to book flights earlier), but Grace was great at coordinating our family and wedding party to practice a last minute rehearsal the day of the wedding. We also wanted to get a little crafty for our individualized wedding favors which we decided to tape to the back of our menus, so Grace designed the menus with this favor in mind, and also taped each wedding favor to each guest's menu for us! This was a huge help since guest name tags were not finalized until so close to the wedding date and we were already busy with our work lives and other things. During the day-of, Grace made sure that we were on top of things especially with the timeline. She made sure that we were able to enjoy our food and drink enough water, and would be the "bad guy" for us when necessary. She also made sure our vendors were moving according to schedule and would be the go-to person for everything, otherwise we would have to be the ones constantly communicating to our DJ/MC or all the other vendors. Our wedding day worked out perfectly and Grace's designing (which we initially did not care about) was absolutely beautiful! Our guests kept giving us compliments about all the details and how organized and fun the day felt, and then we realized how important having a wedding planner was for such a big day for any couple. We had a wedding planner before Grace that we had to part ways with in the middle of the planning process. HIRING GRACE WAS THE BEST DECISION WE MADE FOR OUR WEDDING! After extensive research, I reached out to Grace from Unveiled by Grace with only a few months left to plan our 250-guest wedding. Not only did Grace plan our wedding in that short amount of time (about 4 months) but she also planned our rehearsal dinner and welcome party the day before. After postponing once, and eventually cancelling our destination due to Covid, we decided to book and plan a local wedding within 3 months. At that point we were so over the planning process and ready to get it over with. I found Grace and decided to hire her for month-of coordination to help with the planning. Although she was a month-of coordinator, she was helping us even 3 months out, and would send emails to confirm details as the weeks got closer. I appreciate that she was very straight forward and gave her honest opinion on things like décor items. Grace is really great. She handled this unusual wedding planning job like a boss. This wasn't your typical wedding planning where the bride is the one doing the bulk of the planning. My wife was in school and was very preoccupied with her program, so that left me to plan more than 95% of it. You can already see how the dynamic would be different and unique... my wife would give us a sense of what she was looking for, and it was up to me and Grace to put it into action. I am a bit Type A myself, but with Grace, I was able to let go a bit and enjoy the process more (if one could actually truly enjoy the planning). She was very friendly, approachable and thoughtful. As with most Vietnamese weddings, with the large and ever-fluctuating guest count, table changes and day-of herding of cats, I mean guests, time management, making sure my wife was fed and hydrated, everything went smoothly. There were only a few small picky things looking back that I recommended to Grace to continue to refine her art, and these things that came up are very unique to our wedding and situation. All in all, I can easily recommend her to those reading and my own newly engaged friends. She is very organized and her strong points are with DIY crafts and creative planning, to give the wedding a home grown feel. She was always available for a text or email consultation (e.g. what looks better, A or B) and finding vendors/pricing. We were so blessed to have Grace as our wedding planner. I am going to try my best to sum up how awesome she is so I don't go over the review limit. When our original wedding date got postponed due to covid, she helped us to readjust details for our future date. She found out about sudden changes to our venue that would have ruined our wedding. TL;DR We had a partial planning package with Grace for our wedding Oct'22. She was amazing - super detail oriented, responsive, and trustworthy; and would refer her to any friend in an instant! My fiance and I were engaged April 2021 and had a wedding date 1.5 yrs later, in October 2022. We live in the Bay Area and our venue was in Winters, closer to Sacramento. We originally hired a different planner who was local and had a large instagram following, but quickly learned not to base decisions on social media clout... We ended up dropping our first planner because she wouldn't respond to emails for months which gave us anxiety during the planning process. When choosing a replacement planner, we considered hiring someone more local to help us with rentals or a planner familiar with our venue. However, we chose Grace because after speaking with her and asking questions, she was the most thorough and quick in her responses and was very understanding/sympathetic to our situation. Even though Grace had never done a wedding at our venue before and she was traveling from LA, this wasn't an issue at all; Our signage vendor dropped us last minute (a month prior to our wedding) and after one text, Grace was on it and provided some alternative options to look into. She communicated clearly with our venue and other Bay Area vendors, put together a contingency plan and backup floor plan for rain, etc. Grace has a great eye for design and she created a beautiful moodboard for us. She was always patient and available during the planning process as I went too deep into wedding design rabbit holes and questioned my decisions. She provided a great sounding board for all decisions, big or small. Month of, Grace was instrumental in executing all our ideas. She facetimed into our floral mockup, and provided thorough templates with table/seat assignments and meals/diet restrictions, decor and photo checklists. There were a lot of considerations I would not have thought of if I hadn't had Grace by our side. Grace created multiple versions of detailed timelines and adjusted it based on our feedback and edits. She was also always responsive, and if she needed more time to get back to us because she was busy with another wedding that weekend she would let us know. Because we had all our meetings over zoom, we had no idea that Grace was actually pregnant the entire time and gave birth a couple weeks before our wedding! She is truly a superhero. The real magic happened during the wedding weekend. Grace ran our dress rehearsal smoothly, and had the ceremony songs and officiant speech pulled up. Then for the actual wedding - my now husband and I were able to sit back and thoroughly enjoy without having a single worry. After the wedding, my husband noted, "you know, things just happened to work. My dad popped out mic'd up, ready to play guitar during cake cutting, things magically appeared where they were supposed to, and everything was on time". I later found out that my reception chair rentals were late, but I had no idea during the wedding because Grace handled it all behind the scenes. My husband's parents are also older (60s), and were confused about how to find their seat assignment and they noted that Grace kindly escorted them to their seats. Originally, we were only looking for a day-of coordinator to help us with some minimal planning and to keep us on track of the schedule on the day of. Grace definitely went above and beyond what we expected of her, as she took over the wedding planning process midway, right when COVID started to unravel our plans in February. Planning a wedding during COVID has been tremendously difficult, as our event was postponed twice due to the shelter in place restrictions. Grace was extremely accommodating to our changes and provided valuable advice on how to plan a safe, yet fun and memorable wedding during these times. We had many hours-long Zoom meetings to go over our ideas and plans. While we initiated the vendor selection ourselves, Grace helped us put our ideas into action through many well thought-out action plans and schedules. We learned about Grace when we went to our friend's super fun wedding back in 2019. We wanted a wedding that was just as fun, so we decided to hire Grace. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone our wedding date at our original venue and moved our wedding outdoors at the same venue. Approximately 2 months before the wedding, Grace, being the very detail oriented planner she is, asked our venue about the dance floor. This is when we found out that our venue did not allow a dance floor due to noise restrictions. From there, we had to decide whether we wanted to postpone our date again or completely change venues. We ultimately decided to change venues. Grace was so supportive the whole time. She helped us find venue options and she helped us contact those venues. When we did fine one we liked, she helped us try to secure it, but within minutes, the venue informed us that someone had taken the date we wanted. Feeling defeated, we continued the search with Grace's help and finally found another venue. She helped with the price negotiations so that we wouldn't lose so much money by completely changing venues. She also helped us find a restaurant for our rehearsal dinner, as we did not realize that it was difficult to find an restaurant that could accommodate 20 guest party. The dinner was such a hit! Our wedding day was beyond our expectations. We had never visited our venue prior to our wedding day as we trusted Grace's impression and skills. She worked closely with the florist for floral designs, and helped to design the stationary and signs. She was in close communication with all the vendors on the weeks/months leading up to our big day. Our wedding day went so smoothly. Our venue ended being such a romantic setting with all the lights, table candles and flowers. We also were able to dance the night away on the dance floor! After the numerous emails, meetings, and text messages exchanged with Grace for the last 1.5 years, we are so glad that she helped planned our wedding. As the mother of the bride, I did a significant amount of research before I chose Unveiled by Grace. I bombarded her with questions and asked her to include specifics in the contract. That contract included many pages of responsibilities that encompassed more details than I could have even anticipated. Because of COVID, the wedding had been rescheduled from the year before. So the venue and most of the vendors had previously been chosen. Grace accompanied me for meetings with vendors, offered suggestions and answered questions through phone calls, texts and emails and always kept track of deadlines with vendors. The week of the wedding, the final piece of the favors arrived. After hours of assembling boxes and filling them, each one still needed a ribbon and a tag. Our wedding was just this past weekend, and we couldn't have been more happy to have Grace as our coordinator! Due to budget, we only chose the package for month of, but even so, she was soo helpful every step of the way. Unveiled is my "saving Grace".
