Frank was over the top superb for my needs. He took care of my phone screen issue and I was back in business promptly. I was very impressed and I'm looking for more IT at my house that needs his help. I'm glad I found him from Yelp! read more

Fast simple service for iPhone. Did what he said and did it fast and friendly at the price he quoted. Just good customer service!

I wanted to trade up my phone at T-Mobile during a promtion, but the screen was defective. On the last day of the promition, I came to University Wireless, and the part I needed was not in stock. But, Frank found the same model phone in his "boneyard" and swapped screens for me. Withing a few hours I had successfully traded my now working phone up for a new phone. Thanks Frank! read more

I went in here after crashing my bike and breaking my wrist. Dude was super professional about all the road rash on my shoulder and hooked me up with a free screen saver on top of being the cheapest option around for a screen replacement. Plus it was done by the time I came back from getting Philz coffee. Poggers business. I literally just remembered this after maybe six months and I'm still writing a review -- that should tell you what you need to know about this place. read more

Good customer service. Fixes any issues that arise, even at loss to himself. Would recommend. Been to a few shops in town, none of them handle the process more professionally. read more

I went here after I had stripped a screw on my Nintendo Switch. I wasn't sure if they could remove the damaged screw since it's not what they normally repair, but after calling and speaking with the owner he said he'd give it a look. I brought it in and they had it fixed by the next day! And it was only $5! This is a great shop with excellent service and a fast turnaround! read more

The owner Frank is so nice and reliable I definitely recommend his repair shop. He offered the best prices around and I'm so happy I got my phone fixed he was able to fix the black screen on my iPhone he was also very accommodating and respectful 10/10! read more

I have been here two times when my phone's screen stopped working. I walked in without an appointment and the gentleman working here was really knowledgeable and repaired my screen both times. He repaired the screen and put on a screen protector in 30 minutes. Thank you for your help! Plus the store is in downtown Davis, across from the Starbucks, so it is really convenient location. read more

Shattered my iPhone 6 screen; came in the next day to get it fixed; walked out an hour later with a flawless new screen and a glass screen protector. I got lost trying to find the store -- it's tucked in between other shops, sharing store space with a bike shop. I called the store for help and the owner (Frank) picked up, patiently navigating me for 5 minutes until I found it! The pricing is cheaper than any other places in the area, and he works very quickly. He recommended that I buy a new case for my phone, but didn't push his own cases on me when I declined. read more

live in San Francisco, and I drove all the way to Davis to get my iPhone 5S fixed with these guys. No joke. Why? Because they only charge $90 as opposed to $160 from the other iPhone repair shops all throughout the city. These guys fixed the cracked screen on my iPhone 5S in less than 30 minutes. They did a perfect job and they gave me a discount on accessories as a result of paying for the repair. The reason why like these guys so much is not only because they were very courteous and professional, but because they intentionally keep their prices lower than the rest. If you need to get your phone repaired, just come here. Don't ask questions, don't shop around. Just show up, these guys are awesome and will take care of you for the best price around. read more

I was looking for some inexpensive place to replace my broken i5 screen. Apple was charging too much. I found this store and called to get a quote. It was more than reasonable. I dropped off the phone over lunch and had it back in two hours. Amazing! I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who needs new screen for their smart phone. read more

What more can I say... Simple quick solution to the horror show of our kid's cracked iPhone screen -- fair price and done in about 20-30 min. They also gave 50% off for an awesome screen protector since we had service done there. Small, but just what we needed. Saw their Craigslist ad and glad we called them; thanks! --Update Mar 9, 2017-- *Sigh* (~2.5 years later): Same kid, another cracked iPhone screen, yet once again GREAT and QUICK service... I'd called ahead about pricing, and when we arrived, we found out by calling the owner again he'd had to step out, however true to his word he arrived 20min later -- no biggie -- this time, he even took our 3rd party screen protector glass 2-pak, and offered to put them on for both of our family phones as well, free of charge. (Tip: after calling around, you'll find this is the fairest price in town too, and the new shop location is cooler than the old one.) Thanks, Frank... you saved us again! p.s. While waiting, I was amazed at his expert advice to 3 other customers for a variety of services: new sim cards in stock, activating month-to-month phone plans, phone trade-ins, phone un-locking service... a true wizard at his craft! read more

Completely cracked the bottom of my screen. My home button even started falling out. I went into the store and he got to me rather fast. Told him I wanted to replace my screen and he gave me a rate of $85. I was back in about 30-45 min although he told me it would take about 20-30 mins. Total came out to be ~$90. Fast and good customer service. Would recommend! read more

This guy was so friendly and honest. He was able to fix my problem super quick and then did not charge me!!! I hate it when I have problems with my phone, but no exaggeration, it will make it a little easier next time knowing that I'll be able to give these guys business! read more

I had recently cracked my iPhone 5s screen (being as clumsy as I am), and thank goodness they were able to help me. The service was nice and the repair took about half an hour at most. I've come here several times for iphone fixes (like dropping my phone in my hot tub) and Frank is GREAT. He is affordable, kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. He has always been able to fix my phone and he does a very good, lasting job. read more

I have an HTC one m8 and I had a problem with charging the phone... They were very nice and did a great job! My phone's repair is a bit harder because you can't just unscrew the shell to get to the interior parts. You need to melt the glue, take off the screen then reglue the screen back on afterward. They are very knowledgeable on this process and explained it to me. I trust them with my phone. 100% would go back and I recommend them to everyone!! read more

I took my phone there when the camer's lens broke. It had happened once before for unknown reasons. He told me it should not have broken again with the type of phone I have (an active modrel), and if it happened after he repaired it he would replace it for free. He promised that the lens he put in would be made of the strongest glass material. After he did the work, he advised me I should purchase a glass protector for my screen. Since he did not have one in stock for my phone, he advised me to buy it somewhere else as soon as posdible and he offered to install it for free just to make sure there were no bubles, etc. I did buy it and bring it back and he installed it for me immediately and for free. The people working there are so nice and so helpful and do such a good job! read more

I bought a Huawei phone and I couldn't get anyone to fix the screen due to it being dropped a couple of times. After being referred by a coworker I am grateful I went here. I cannot tell you enough good things about this place! I had recently broken the screen of my iPad Pro 12.9 4th generation and was calling places around Davis in order to fix it. I am a UC Davis student and don't have a lot of money in my budget so calling for quotes seemed like a good place to start. This place was the cheapest by far and when I came in, Frank made sure to let me know why it was so expensive and how much of the cost would be for labor. An order was placed for my screen and my iPad was fixed like brand new! In addition, I had bought a screen protector and Frank was able to install it for me as well. He was very nice and had many precautions due to COVID-19. Furthermore, when I came to pick up my iPad, he sold a plant to my friend as well! This place is extremely nice and I felt good helping out an Asian American business. Please go here for your business! read more

I came here to get my screen fixed for my iPhone 11 Pro, and now my phone decides to shut off on its own and won't turn back on for hours until it feels like it. I even had my phone checked at a Genius Bar and they ran a diagnostics test and said that my phone seems to not be getting any electrical current through it either. Not too happy about this! read more

I urgently needed my phone repaired and chose this shop because they quoted me $40 for the repair vs. iFix electronics @ $90 and RC repair @ $70. The staff were knowledgable and friendly. Will definitely come back in the future. Took 1 hour to repair and no appointment needed read more

BEWARE TO THOSE WHO ARE BUYING FROM HERE: The guy working here is nice, but does not know what he is talking about. He sold me boyfriend a phone & told him it would work for any company. We tried to hook it up to sprint & they wouldn't activate it because it's not a sprint phone. I stayed in the shop for over an hour to prove to the guy that the company would not activate the new phone! Since my boyfriend paid with a card, he had to return it. And when he went in the next day, he wanted to charge him a restocking fee?!?! Charge him a TEN PERCENT FEE to return the phone that we were given wrong information about?!?! Will never return and definitely would not recommend to anyone read more

Wow this was a great experience. I brought my severely damaged iPhone 5 in to Frank for a possible repair. Frank spent around 2 hours with me trying everything to try to get my phone to work. The problem turned out to be a motherboard issue, which is irreparable (Frank was the second place I brought my broken phone, the first place said it was irreparable also). Frank didn't charge me anything after doing all of this troubleshooting. I called a couple days later to thank him for spending all of that time with me, and he said no problem. read more

I recently shattered my iPhone 5c screen and so I called several places to price shop and see where I could get the best deal. So I called some other place and they said they could fix my screen for $55 and then I kept price shopping to get the best deal. Then, I called this place and they promised they match that price. So a few weeks later I stop by after I saved up some money and they raised the price to $60 and so I was like I don't have the money I'll stop by Sunday and so I made an appointment. Then a day before the appointment I get a call from them and they say they can't come in Sunday to fix my phone. So finally I stopped back in today and they raised the price to $65 because "the prices of the screens raised" and at that point I was at my wits end with them and I just walked out. They are not honest and I do not recommend going here. read more

I traveled to Davis from El Dorado Hills in order to get my iPad 3 gen screen replaced. The owners were very responsive to my needs, made my appointment quickly and then replaced the screen when promised. Unfortunately I had to return for some more tape to be applied (the edges were coming up) but again, they took care of me very well. The pricing was more than reasonable and their service is sublime!!! If I have issues with any other device, I would not hesitate to use their services. read more

Got some water damage on my IPhone and lost the ringtone. Took over to AT & T and they wanted like $500 for new phone. Dropped off phone with Frank and he had it fixed in no time....and I think it worked better than before. And yes I tried the rice trick but ain't no one got time for that. Only place I'll go in the future for repairs. Very fair guys! read more

If you end up coming here ask for Basel. He's really friendly and gets you a discount anywhere he can find one. Forget other cell phone stores, I am coming to University Wireless for my cell phone purchases from now on. It's one of those days... Meeting friends on a morning outing in Napa, I drop my iPhone 6 on its edge, recently removed from it's back case for a now ridiculous reason, shattering the glass screen. After a reasonable amount of swearing, I head to the Geek Squad in Woodland, who inform me that they can't help, but there's 'this guy' in some tiny shop in Davis who is, in a word, amazing. And fair. And honest. I go home to start a Yelp search and a few shops come up in Davis, but only one that is consistently rated high, with language like 'sublime' and 'amazing service' and 'highly recommended.' I call at 6:30pm, thinking I'll get a machine. I get Frank, the owner, the one and only 'amazing, sublime, highly recommended' Frank. There's a baby in the background crying when I call (did I mention it's Father's Day?), and after asking me a few questions, Frank tells me he'll meet me at the store. It's really alright that it's a Sunday night, he says. No, no...I'm not disturbing his dinner. Is 7:10pm alright? I know the people at Vampire Penguin think I'm crazy, standing in front of a closed business, but here comes Frank, opening up his business, offering me a seat and methodically taking my iPhone apart and putting it back together perfectly. Perfectly. In about a 1/2 hr, my phone is back, with a discounted glass protector since it was purchased with a repair. By 8pm, I'm back at my house in Woodland, putting the back case on my repaired iPhone...on a Sunday...Father's Day... Frank is all of those things used to describe him, and he's methodical and focused and careful and clearly very skilled. He's a kind man, a generous fellow who says things like "we all have to help each other," so I want to help Frank. Don't go anywhere else for anything to do with a smartphone or an iPad. Call Frank first. Drive over, get some of those crazy shaved ice things at Vampire Penguin next door and watch the Amazing, Sublime, Unbelievable Frank fix it for you for a great price in no time at all. read more

I recently took my Iphone 6 to University Wireless to have the screen replaced. Mohammed and Frank took excellent care of me.
