Went to the Halloween Horror Nights with my granddaughter. It was a great time. It's the very first time I've been in Universal Studios. There's a whole city around the theme park. You could just pay $35 to park, then have lunch or dinner, shop, etc. I'm sure there's much more. It was dark for my first experience. I'd definitely go back to do more.

Universal Studios is a fun time. We got there about 45 min after park open and left about 1 hr before closing. We went through whole park and rode about 75% of the rides. Lots of fun things to see and places to eat and shop. If you like to spend, bring lots of dollars because the shirts are so much fun, but expensive. $30 for a shirt starting. Simpson world is the best and very colorful. There are characters walking around and little shows happening on the streets. Its like a city. The gift shops seem like museums. Many of the rides are simulations which give me a headache, so be prepared. And don't forget City Walk right outside Universal. Grab dinner. Before leaving. We had Coldstone.

I'm so happy we've gotten to experience Universal. It was a different pace than Disney, in a good way, now that my kids are older teen and adult ages. We had a beautiful day to visit and smiled throughout the day. Some of our best moments were walking through the various city streets and seeing musical performances and dancing. The walkways were wide and we were never on top of other guests. Most rides had reasonable wait times and/or offered single rider options. The locker areas for cramped, but I appreciated how many of the wait queues were indoors, keeping us cooler and away from the rain. The Harry Potter sections were amazing, just amazing. I couldn't have imagined how it would have felt being in the middle of the space. Restaurants, both sit down and quick service, were scattered throughout the park. I loved that we didn't have to worry plan in advance to get a spot at either. My only downside to Universal Studios is that some of the themes felt outdated or just aren't favorite characters of mine. At least this helped to decrease the temptation of spending money on apparel or merchandise.

Ain't worth the travel and the entrance fee , everything is old and bored there's nothing to do just walking around the park ,

Overall the park is okay. If you just coming to do this park alone it's simply not worth it unless you have young children. Me and my husband enjoyed our time but not nearly as much as we did in the Tokyo parks. The staff is not bought in what so ever so you get met with a lot of staff showing just how much of a inconvenience you are as you go throughout the park. Rides are good if your okay with the screen rides. Other than that there genuinely is not much to do. We did however enjoy the shows that they offered and found those to be quite entertaining. Overall it's dated. It's mostly under construction and it's just not worth the trip alone. I would definitely pair it with other parks because we got bored quick!

Its just not as good as Disney. The Fast and Furious ride closed a couple hours before the park so we just missed it. The ET ride was my favorite and the drinks and photo ops were nice.

I had a blast as usual!! I can't really say too much and I didn't take enough pictures because I was having way too much fun but it's Universal Studios for crying out loud! I did everything except for volcano Bay and Epic. (waiting for the Epic hype to die down) The joint is always clean. The snacks and food are always great. Just expect to spend some money while you are there because you are at a theme park! Friday was a great day to go, we went in as soon as it opened , I don't feel like it was that crowded, but lines were long and the only thing that you can do to ensure you ride on all the rides that you want to...is to purchase a FAST PASS! ($100) Getting a fast pass is the best way to go to get your full experience. My average wait time for every ride was 15 minutes or less, which means you can ride the ride again multiple times if you would like Vs. 45min+ wait time. One of my favorite rides to go on is the Jurassic Park River ride, which was closed for maintenance, but that did not ruin anything for the day. All-in-all universal is always a great place to visit. Please do not let me give too much away for first time visitors in order to savor the total experience. I hope everybody has as much fun as we did! Five Stars!

I don't go to Universal often but when I do I remember why I'm on the fence about it. The lines in the evening around this time of year aren't too bad. I stopped by for Mardi Gras. It was a little expensive for drinks but overall not too bad.

March 2026 I think Universal Parks are superior to Disney (but I'm not a huge Disney fan in general)! This park has such great themeijt through the entire section, the rides, the shops, the queues, the food, & all the experiences. This park is good for low key rides & sights. Adventure Island is more for big rides & thrills & Epic Universe is the newest park that is great for immersive experiences.

For some reason, I thought that a holiday this park would be packed; it's a little bit busy in the front of the park and buy the minion section however, towards the back, it is very calm and nice. I'm so glad I decided to spend a couple hours in studios before I go meet my friend for dinner. I am drinking a nectarine spritz from the bar next to the NBC building. This drink I believe was $17 plus tax rounding out to be $20.24. All the wait times for the rides are rather low and I think I will be making my way over to the Dagon alley area to go ride GRINGOTTS only at a 35 minute wait!!! If you haven't mentioned Universal Studios, Florida, I highly recommend it. Some of the days are gonna be less busy than others and for being an annual passholder and a local Floridian that is honestly a plus!!!

Visited this park on a Sunday, and found it to be far less crowded than Island of Adventures but definitely more dated. The Park opens at 10am on Sundays and we arrived at 11. Upon arrival we encountered nearly no wait times at the ET and MIB rides, so knocked those out first. Those were just OK in my opinion. The highlights of our day here included: - Exploring Diagon and Knockturn Alley. Absolutely incredible, magical, and true to my imagination. Highly recommend for any Harry Potter fan. The Escape from Gringotts ride was a thrilling experience and a lot of fun. - Revenge of The Mummy - this is easily the best ride in the park. We loved it so much that we did it twice! - The Bourne Stuntacular Show - amazing performance, mixing live stunts/actions with animation. A must see!

Though I'm a routine Disneyland fanatic, I throughly enjoyed the Universal Orlando Resort and long to return. My parents and I visited December 2024 to celebrate my mom's successful battle of breast cancer and my tumor being benign. Life can be fleeting and you never know what to expect, so let's be off to a theme park! Since a kid I've been theme park obsessed, and I was excited to try the other coast's Universal Park. I'll never look at Hollywood the same as Universal Orlando is hands down the superior park! I definitely think if you have the means to do Orlando versus Hollywood, I'd choose this park! Less congested with people, more rides, better dining, and there are water taxis! My favorite mode of transportation. Some of the attractions are the same from coast-to-coast, but some vary. For example, the Mummy Ride varies between Orlando and Hollywood. I found myself more fond of the one in Orlando as it was more intense. It will be interesting when I finally get to see Epic Universe as I believe it will squash any desire for me to travel to Universal Hollywood. Definitely worth a visit at least once in your life if you enjoy theme parks.

In town for a work event and was treated to a day at Universal Studios. Lines were organized and the staff were professional and patient. There were not as many people as we expected and the majority of the wait time me were around 40 minutes. I'm not a huge rider but was able to enjoy Hulk and Spiderman. If you're looking for a thrill, Hulk will do the job for sure. The food and drinks were good. Definitely come prepared to spend some money if you plan on eating and having some adult beverages. We were able to get a shuttle/bus from the hotel so didn't have to worry about parking luckily.

Fun, but overpriced. Not as bad as the other big name park nearby, but still a once in a life time thing due to the prices.

Ask the Community - Universal Studios Florida

What are some options for hotels near by? Cost friendly but nice of course.

The best value on property is Cabana Bay Resort. Once there it's easy access to Volcano Bay and it is possible to walk to the parks. There is bus & water taxi service available too. There are good restaurant options and the lazy river is fun. There…

Is buying the fast pass worth it for the money?

Definetely yes on busy crowd days. I advise you to follow universals busy crowd day calendar; it's very accurate. You can also get a bang for your buck if you stay at one of Universals premier hotels, the will give you fast passes for every night of…

Are there free lockers located near the entrance to avoid the locker fees at the attractions?

Depending on what size locker you need, many attractions themselves have free small lockers directly next to the entrance of the ride

What time does Universal close?

Best thing is to check their website, since hours are variable for the seasons and days.

How much is parking?

$26 for full day. I thought the VIP or closer parking was $40 but looks like everyone is saying $50. Its expensive though.

Should every family member have a Lanyard or can one parent have all the express passes in one lanyard? We want to avoid lockers. Also, Do you think we can get a slim fanny pack for 2 phones, express passes and chapstick and avoid using lockers?

For the most part, you might be able to avoid lockers that way, but since each ride is different, you may end up having to use the locker anyway, especially if you are looking to go on the coasters that require a bare minimum of items on each…

R all the rides open?

My wife and I were there during the last week of January 2021 and the only ride I remember being closed was Kang & Kodos' Twirl 'n' Hurl in the Simpsons area. Everything else was seemingly open.

Blues clues adventures?

No I didn't see that. Download the app

Are all the rides open or are there some closed?

They're all open if you're referencing Covid! Due to the bad weather though they have delaying some rides (if it's downpouring), but only for that time being until the weather subsides. You're golden

My son will be 3 next month, but he is huge (24 in. When he was born) are they going to cause a problem?

Lived there 15 years ago was always age (having proof/birth certificate copy helps). Kids are generally bigger today. Also ask Hotel about your concerns to find out for you.

I was wondering if and when will they bring the regular hours back til 10:00?Just curious due to this pandemic that has made everyone's World upside down just want a little bit of happiness for my kids to say the least! Bless up everyone in advance…

I was just there and no plans have been made to extend closing hours. The lack of crowd, as well as mask wearing and too few employees makes it impossible to guess when that will occur. Disney is not shooting off fireworks each night for same…

I'm going to the park tomorrow, has anyone been denied entry during this limited capacity time? What's a good time to get to the park?

My family and I went to both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in August on the weekend. The parks open at 9:00 a.m. We got there around 10:00 a.m. and did not have a problem getting in. We didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes to get…

Are small backpacks allowed to be brought in & carried around?

Yes, but you can't bring them on all the rides. They have lockers available to store your stuff while you ride.

Im visiting shortly and just wondering how to approach hagrids motorbike adventure. I am not the biggest harry potter fan but i still want to ride it. I have heard about the horrific wait times and i am just wondering how to approach it?

Simply Value your time. There is magic everywhere in that town. Hagrids does not give you any return on time invested. Early admission has people running to line up there. 1hr plus waits before the park even opens for normal business hrs. The whole…

My Wife and I are taking my 12 year old grandson to Universal Orlando August 28th & 29th Two days. Can you advise best tickets to purchase and express passes etc.We are Floridresidents. My grandson is only interested in Visiting one park Universal? TY

They have a buy one day 2 park ticket and get the rest of the year free deal

It's calling for lots of rain today what are our options if that happens?

There’s city walk you can go to. They have a lot of restaurants and a movie theater too. Hopefully it doesn’t rain all day.

Can you bring water into the park?

Yes as long as the bottle is sealed

I'll be visiting a weekday in August and plan on getting the 1 day 2 parks (park to park ticket) with the express pass. I wanted to know if it's possible to do U.S. and Islands of Adventure in one day?…

I'm sure it's possible especially if you don't have any little ones with you, but keep in mind that without the park to park ticket, you will not be able to ride the Hogwarts Express train.

Universal studio best deals and offers?

AAA is your best deal !!!!! if you see ads on CL there time shares

What is the military discount for admission?

Best deal is if you purchase 4 day Hopper This allows you into Universal, islands of adventure, and Volcano Bay…

They have a convenient parking garage where the first three floors are paid parking, while the fourth floor and above are free. That was a nice bonus and made getting there easy. I was actually on my way to a restaurant, so exploring the park wasn't part of the plan. But once I walked inside, I couldn't help but look around. There were restaurants, food vendors, candy shops, drink stands, and so much more. The atmosphere was lively, fun, and full of energy. It looked like the perfect place for families, couples, or anyone just looking to spend a few hours enjoying themselves. This is a short review because I didn't get the chance to experience everything Icon Park has to offer. However, based on my first impression alone, I can definitely say I'll be back. There was a parking garage and parking was super easy. By that time we left around 8:30 PM there were so many cars, but when we first got there at about 5 PM there were tons of spots. They do have parking spots you can pay for in the lower levels so it seems like if you're willing to pay there will always be parking. If you want free parking, you need to go earlier because this seems to be popular for nightlife. I always appreciate when there's so many attractions together that you can walk to. This place has quite a few restaurants, some shops and the attractions all in a contained area. It was very clean and when we came, there was a huge police presence, because apparently a couple weeks before there was hundreds of teenagers that descended to the area and fought. So the place was doing a really good job making sure that everything was safe. This is a place for both families and non-families alike.
