Our party of 4 visited StarFlyer on 04/14/2023. No one said us that we have to have receipt to enter the StarFlyer. We had bracelets and thought it will be enough. Once the employee at the entrance asked us for receipts we we t inside to find it and then came back. One our friend came later and the employee closed gates right in front of her. We started to ask them open gates and allow our friend to come in so we planned to have a ride with the party of 4. Once employee declined this option we asked to let us go and then we will have another ride with our party of 4. After employee asked supervisor to come. Then the supervisor Kaleb went out and asked what's going on. We kindly asked to let our friend in or let us go so we will be able to have planned ride. He didn't let us go. Moreover, my friend asked Kaleb: "are you forcing us to ride"? He answered "Yes". Guys, what's going on? Seriously?! After we were forced to ride we spoke with manager Mark and we asked Kaleb to come yo us and bring his apologizes cause we all felt scare after his words. But he told that Kaleb doesn't wanna do it and moreover Mark didn't bring his apologizes too. It's awful, cause how can you feel safe when management doesn't respect their customers and FORCE then to ride??? Guys, where is the customer service?

My son and I really enjoyed this ride! In fact, it was on my bucket list of things to do. It was around $12 per ticket, kids have to be 44 inches to ride. You get a great view of Orlando from the top! It feels very safe. You can ride again for a cheaper price once you have a bracelet on.

My Amazing Brother and I rode the Orlando Star Flyer after enjoying dinner with our wonderful spouses nearby. I was a bit hesitant after seeing the height and advertised 60 mph speed coupled with the recency of a meal but I figured why not. Tickets are sold inside for around $12.50 per person. You'll get wristbands and make sure you keep the receipt as you'll need to show that later. I think the wristbands are in case you want to ride again which comes at a discounted price. Get in line and the anticipation builds. I emptied pockets to my Super Cute Wife's possession as you can't have anything in your pockets during the ride. The line moves fairly quickly as each ride is about 4 minutes and very well ordered. Once you are close you are grouped in twos, show your wristbands and receipts, once the prior riders exit, off you go. You then are directed to your chairs. They have convenient baskets to put shoes or sandals, hats, etc. You'll be returned to the same exact baskets upon return. Once the ride starts you'll slowly go higher and get to appreciate the views (we rode it at night) of Orlando as you get spun, the ride gets higher (about 100 feet I'd say?) and the motors twist you gently a bit to face out, in, directly down, and you will spin fairly quickly. We got stretched out by the centripetal force outwards from the center (not at all unpleasant) a good ways as we rode. I thought it was great, with a smile from ear to ear. My Amazing Brother also had a great time. Too quickly it was over and back to our starting spot we went. But it was a fun ride and I'm glad we did it.

The Orlando StarFlyer is the "world's tallest swing ride" standing at 450 feet in Orlando. I purchased the tickets online ($10) for a $2 discount but they also have a ticket office there. Inside the ticket office they have multiple lockers were you can leave phone, wallets and more. It's not recommended to ride with valuable stuff on you. Theres usually a line but once you get to the ride they have double seats so my boyfriend and me were able to seat next to each other. It moves up and down and rotates around the giant tower at speeds of up to 45mph. This is definitely a fun experience for kids or adults. Once you get out the ride there's a bar called "I-Drive Star Bar" we didn't get to visit it, but it seemed crowded and pretty fun. This was definitely fun and I'll totally come back and bring the rest of my family.

THIS WAS AWESOME + SCARY AT THE SAME TIME! The StarFlyer is located within Icon Park and is 450ft high and goes approx 45 mph!! Amazing view of Orlando when up at the top. You can either purchase tickets in person or online for a slight discount. I was looking for something new and fun to do for the hubs for his birthday and stumbled across Icon park and this giant swing. I purchased tickets online since i didn't know how busy it would be when we got there. Purchasing tickets online is easy and you can print from the email that they send you or show your ticket on your phone when you arrive. When you arrive, go into the ticket booth area to show your voucher. They will then print you a receipt that you then take to the entrance for the swing. Absolutely nothing is allowed on the swing when you ride -- you have to empty your pockets, no phone, no cell phones, no flip flops (obviously).....and I'd almost recommend not wearing your sunglasses because I held onto my on my face in fear they were going to fly off. The lockers they have available in the ticketing area are not available at this time, instead they have large metal buckets next to each swing where you place your belongings. The swings are 2 seaters and numbered -- the swing stops at the same number that you were at when you took off, so you don't have to worry about your belongings being next to someone else when the ride stops. Parking -- there is a parking garage or parking in the lot. We parked in the lot and walked around Icon park after the ride. If you're looking for a drink while visiting, they also have a bar attached to the building that you can visit.

Always a great time. Good atmosphere and great drinks at the star flyer bar. We enjoy the thrill and adventures and this is a great place to enjoy a little bit of everything!

Ok this is not as crazy as it appears, it's a little more than a swing in the park being it travels around at 60 mph and oh yeah it does this at 450 feet in the air lol. It's really a bargain at $13 per person with same day repeats priced at $8 per person. It's open till 2:00 am - there are plastic bins located on the ground for each swing to store your flip flops, cell phone etc in - to be honest I should of had my cell in my hand to snap a few photos at the top but the hype prevented me for fear of dropping it. If you like swinging this is the worlds tallest so it's something you must do if you're in the area. My next ride will be at night since the thunder and lightening shut the atttraction down as soon as we exited the ride..

My husband loves to ride Orlando's "Tallest Swing Ride in the World". I can't ride on this swing, because I fear for my life, and I know my heart can't take it, (Lol). This monsterous machine stands 450 feet high, and towers over everything in the area, and all neighboring areas. I enjoy the bright, colorful lights, watching people as they get on, and off the ride, and of course the bar. While my husband enjoys the ride, I get to take advantage of the bar. The bartender is awesome. I tell him what I got a taste for (sweet, fruity, and strong) and he blends, or shakes it up for me. The bar makes as a great trade off for me, as I get to stay on land, while my hubby is flying high.

This is a cool attraction just outside of Icon Park. Only costs $12 to ride. They do allow single riders.

A great ride at ICON park for the thrill-seekers in your group. This ride is located at the northwest corner of ICON park which advertised 50+ shops, free parking, and several alternatives to visiting the local theme parks. The free parking is in the large multi-story parking garage above the 4th floor. Access is a direct walkway to all ICON park items. This particular ride is just outside the northwest corner of the parking garage and slightly separated from most of the ICON park. You purchase tickets at a booth inside the building on the east side of the large structure that is the center support for the ride. Tickets are $13/per person. Save your wristband as you can get additional rides for $9/person with it. The entrance to the 'flyer is on the north side of your fence. You are required to empty your pockets and store anything that could be a potential missile hazard from falling off your person. You are sent to a numbered seat (numbers are on the ground) and you are buckled in. They pull the ride about halfway up and then start the spin and raise you to the top. The view is great and the ride was fun. The day that I went, the winds at the top were a little strong, and kept spinning the chair but the view was great. The ride only lasts a few minutes and they slow the spin as they bring you back to the ground. Overall, it was a fun ride with a great view and friendly staff.

I stayed at The hotel which was walking distance to The Icon Park and Starflyer. This place is super cool. Originally we thought we would just take a Look, but it looked really fun and we decided to buy tickets and stand in a line. You have to remove anything that is not attached to you (purses, phones, cameras, hats, glasses..) into the bucket with your number which is the number of your spot, and it all stays there literally on the ground for you to pick up after the ride is over. So..not afraid of heights, have no motion sickness, but I got somewhat uncomfortable with the wind. You can't feel it on the ground, but up there, there is definitely a breeze. It's one of those that have to, have to and I repeat have to been tried, but I am just not eager to do it again.

Pros: This was an excellent once in a lifetime experience, it's both intimidating and exhilarating. The ride takes you up 450 feet in the air and spins you around at 60 miles per hour. Cons: People with motion sickness or a fear of heights may not want to ride at first, however it's wasn't really as bad as I thought it would be. Don't attempt to bring your phone on board, it may fly out of your hand. People: Good Process: Good Product: Good Quality: N/A Quantity: Good Value: Fair Cleanliness: Good Ambience: Good Timing: Good Attention To Detail: Good

This ride is HUGE! This is probably the largest swing ride I have ever seen. The area is pretty distinctive. You walk across the area with most of the restaurants on I-drive, you can't miss it. You walk into a room first to receive your ticket. The tickets are $12 each and with tax for 2 people it's 26 dollars. Once you pay, they give you a ticket that you hand to the man that is getting everyone prepared for their spot in line. The line is usually longer at all times of the day, it seems it'll be that way for the summer time. Once you reviewed your ticket for your party; you get in line and wait your turn. The ride is quite fast and takes you very high up! You can see the whole city if you're not afraid to look up. It spins you around and might make you nauseous. SAFETY: I spoke with a manager after my ride and asked why my seatbelt wasn't checked before we took off, and he said the way the system works is that the ride itself won't lift an inch off the ground if the system isn't telling them that someone isn't buckled in. I was not happy with the fact that nobody came to check me, but he reassured me that not everyone gets checked for the reason I just explained. I would suggest to new comers into Orlando, or anyone native looking to have some high air fun!

Jurrasic Park, Superheroes, Harry Potter, and classic cartoon characters are the standout themes here and the rides are made for older kids and adults. The park closed at 9p and I loved how you could get in line up until that time versus them closing entry early. Next visit we will consider the ride passes. It was an obvious difference in waiting time. SO expensive though, even without this add on. We'll be back Orlando!

We were told to go to Universal Studios Florida, but when we got there, we were redirected to Islands of Adventure. Once we got over there, the line was absolutely nuts. It took about 30 minutes just to get through entry, and the whole process felt disorganized compared to Disney, which runs this kind of thing way more smoothly. Second, the photo pass system was a big letdown. We bought it thinking it would be similar to Disney with lots of photo opportunities throughout the park. Not even close. I think we found maybe three spots total. Even when meeting characters, those photos weren't included; we had to use our own camera, which honestly made no sense. Total waste of money. Now, on the flip side, the Express Pass was hands down the best part of the trip. Since we stayed at one of the resorts, it was included, and it made a huge difference. In my opinion, this is actually better than anything Disney offers right now. That part you all absolutely nailed. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, so no complaints there. The layout of the parks can be a little confusing at times, but that's not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. Overall, we did have a great time. The girls had an absolute blast, which is what matters most. We mainly went for the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter areas, and those definitely lived up to the hype. Would we go back? Honestly, not sure. Glad we went, but there are some things that would need to improve for us to choose it again over Disney.

The lines were super short, so the students were able to ride things 3-4 times with no problem, which made it even more worth it. One of the best deals was the all day dining pass (you have to buy it online). For $24, you get 2 meals and a snack, which is a steal compared to the regular menu prices. Our first stop was Cluckees where we had tenders, wings, and fries. The portions were HUGE and everything was tasty, especially the fries. None of us could even finish our food! For our snack, we grabbed ice cream. The kids loved it, but it wasn't my favorite. Later, we went back to Cluckees for a chicken sandwich and fries for dinner. This time it wasn't as good as earlier. Maybe a different cook or just an off moment. We didn't spend time in the arcade and stayed mostly outside. The park is a pretty decent size with plenty to do. Even as the day went on and traffic picked up, it never felt overly packed. The staff was friendly and very laid back, which added to the relaxed vibe of the day. Overall, it was a good experience. The kids really enjoyed it. I'd give it a 3.5. Btw I think there is a bee problem there. I saw bees flying around often. Not enough to ruin the experience, but I definitely noticed them.

We took advantage of a package deal that was offered online and headed to Orlando. We got to the park the same day we arrived and after a few minutes getting the tickets scanned and validated, we were on our way. We opted for Universal park first and entered pretty much into minion land. From that point onward, the day was a blur of walking, riding the attractions and just marveling at the details that go into a place like this. Of all the attractions in this park, the one that the kids kept wanting to go back to was the entire Harry Potter area - they really do a spectacular job with the attractions and when the giant dragon on top of Gringotts decides to blow fire, you feel the heat wave pass you by. The park is pretty much set up in a large circle and we did a few laps that day we were here. There are plenty of food beverage options available in the park- and as you might expect, those are not going to be exactly cheap. We ate at Krusty burger over in Simpsons land and to be fair, while expensive, the food was actually better than expected for this type of venue. Definitely something for everyone at this park and sure to engage pretty much most of the age groups. I enjoyed the attractions as much as the kids did to be honest. Be prepared to walk - bring those extra comfy shoes and don't forget the sunscreen and sunglasses. A wonderful time and we are already planning another visit.

I really liked how the buildings have special chrome illusion paint. Depending on where you view the building or at a different angle, with specific lighting, it changes how the buildings look! It's pretty cool. There are variety of theme park rides in Marvel Super Hero Island. The Incredible Hulk Coaster: This is a super fast ride! It goes from 0 to 40 mph in just two seconds! The ride can reach up to 67 mph though and has a variety of inversions! The Amazing Spider-Man: This is a 3D dark ride. It's a slow ride though! It combines motion simulation and special effects to immerse you in the ride! You'll get to see Spider Man and a few villains from the series! Doctor Doom Fearfall: This ride is a drop ride. You'll be launched up to close to 200 feet in the air! I try to avoid this ride though. Drop rides are a little scary for me! Storm Force Accelatron: It's a spinning ride. It's based on the X-Men series. You're helping storm defeat Magneto! There are a lot of Meet and Greets in this area! Last time I was here, I saw Wolverine and Captain America! You can also see other superheroes like Spider-man or even villains such as Doctor Doom or the Green Goblin! If you're looking for dining options there is the Captain America Diner, and some other quick service options like Aunt Anne's! There are some stores you can shop in for Marvel merchandise which offers collectible, toys, apparel and so much more! My mom and I spent a few hours at Marvel Super Hero Island. It has a lot of attractions and stores!

All three of these together took up about two hours and then we were able to go to Cafe tu tu tango to get a bite to eat. This was a great half day experience while we were visiting Orlando. There was a parking garage and parking was super easy. By that time we left around 8:30 PM there were so many cars, but when we first got there at about 5 PM there were tons of spots. They do have parking spots you can pay for in the lower levels so it seems like if you're willing to pay there will always be parking. If you want free parking, you need to go earlier because this seems to be popular for nightlife. I always appreciate when there's so many attractions together that you can walk to. This place has quite a few restaurants, some shops and the attractions all in a contained area. It was very clean and when we came, there was a huge police presence, because apparently a couple weeks before there was hundreds of teenagers that descended to the area and fought. So the place was doing a really good job making sure that everything was safe. This is a place for both families and non-families alike.

The entertainment complex has a variety of restaurants ranging in price , including my beloved Shake Shack. There are shops, an aquarium, was museum, arcades, live music, illusion museum, and several other places on the twenty acre complex I'm not sure about parking other than knowing it's free. I usually walk over from my hotel when in town for conferences. It's something to do in evening after sitting all day listening to speakers.

This is a section you can spend only a little of your time in or it might be where you spend the bulk of your time. That likely depends on how many of the shops and restaurants you want to visit in the area. You may also be fans of the magical wands and making things move in the windows. I really enjoyed seeing the pages of the book come alive as well as several visitors, dressed in robes and other Harry Potter themed clothing. This is a fantastic spot for picture taking as well. It does get quite crowded in certain areas so hold onto your patience and enjoy the experience.

Its sole ride, Escape from Gringotts I gave two stars as I found it very lackluster compared to the two Potter themed thrill rides over at Islands of Adventure. But the theming in this section of the park is absolutely phenomenal and highly immersive enough to make this an easy 4 stars. The Knight Bus was fun enough for both my sister and I to get pictures by it with its friendly steward and his appropriate accent. I missed the low key entrance on our first go round. As I said I watched the movies in a cloud of smoke and didn't realize it was this secret fandom entrance/exit but the throngs passing through tipped us off. The greater density with everything packed so tightly together and its separation from the other themed areas of Universal Studios Florida makes this Potter themed area more impressive than its counterpart over at Islands of Adventure- even without a magnificent castle. The alleys, the shops, the hand painted signage, the dragon perched high shooting out that massive flame... I can only imagine how hard this hits if you're a Potter fanatic. And though Escape from Gringotts was pretty weak sauce in my estimation the queue and the theming before the ride experience was top notch. They really broke the bank on this, as with the great train ride in. Maybe if I ever go back I'll watch a Potter movie or two sober.

(Did a Yoshi hat come home with us? Yes, yes it did.) This space will not be appreciated by everyone - not because we don't love Mario Bros but because it is small and full of people in every corner. It offers a few attractions and it is a huge commitment to stand in line for a short thrill. We did ride Bowser's ride. It allowed for single riders. It delays regularly though - in our case a cart had to be removed and replaced on the track. It involves a lot of technology the way the game is designed. Our family of 4 did not understand the game at all and how we even gathered points. Thankfully we didn't stand in line as long and wouldn't recommend anyone else does. Sadly the other rides were not part of our day due to the lengthy wait times and in the case of Donkey Kong, so backed up that the single rider line was closed. We witnessed a lot of happy kids running around and tapping question marked boxes. Even for my older teen / adult children they stood in the space and smiled while they took it in. It was the first place they wanted to see upon our arrival.
