Cool location. Cool place. Cool vibe. Food is pretty good but I gotta tell you it was a small disaster. We showed up with 7 people got seated inside very quickly. This was the high point of our meal. (I'm just gonna give you the Readers digest condensed version of this adventure..) *The servers were slow,rarely seen and distracted. *The drink order/ food order / food delivery was s l o w. *My order was delivered by another employee and not correct. Our original waitress was MIA for so long I gave up and ate what I had. *Apparently there is one single unisex bathroom for the place and we sat next to it. Therefore at times there were up to 4 people waiting in line standing/hovering over our table waiting to do their business. Awesome. *Unfortunately there was some sort of Fly convention meeting close by. We were inside and were swatting like we were outside on a picnic. *The last aggravation of this meal was a third lady showed up to clear the table... She grabbed the glasses and somehow shattered one of the glasses sending flecks and shards of glass all over my face and chest. My wife and I gently and carefully made sure I wasn't hurt. I wasn't thankfully but if had enough at that point. Enough. For the record : none of the things listed alone is a big deal to me. I promise..but today was the perfect storm of all of these at one sitting . To add them up just made a mess and not the greatest experience. Not great, not terrible. The egg rolls were probably my favorite, interesting spin with cream cheese and grapes- try it. The flounder tacos weren't the tastiest, quite forgettable. The burgers and food here is amazing! Unfortunately the whole time me and my boyfriend where surround by yellow jackets in the outside dining area. Pros: Delicious burgers (super juicy patties, really fresh veggies on top), tater tots as the default side; inventive names for their burgers, plentiful outdoor seating, freshly fried tater tots; reasonable prices, friendly wait staff; funky Austin-like vibe; and did I mention the super tasty tater tots? Clearly one of the coolest casual places in town to gather, grab a drink, and eat a delicious burger (with a side of tater tots) Cons: a bit of a wait on a Saturday afternoon, and the impending threat of death by yellow jacket (via the plentiful patio seating mentioned above) . Found this on Yelp and loved the pics and menu variety. The food was delicious, the service very friendly! It is housed in a converted garage...how clever..U-Joint. Solid beer selection from familiar to local craft options. Looked like a full bar, as well. We had the brisket (cooked in house and wonderful) and the arugula-mushroom quesadilla (also unique & delicious)! Definitely worth a stop!! read more

The food here is really good. The food tonight was served hot and was good, but looked like it was rushed on the plate. We came tonight not expecting it to be busy on a Monday. We were told a 20 minute wait it was just over 25 minutes. We were seated and the waitress came right away and took our order. We ordered appetizers and sandwiches. About 8 minutes later our sandwiches showed up. We asked where our appetizers were, the guy who brought them out and he didn't know. Two minutes later the waitress showed up with the appetizers. We kept everything. We had no silverware or refills on drinks offered. The waitress might have been overwhelmed. The place was extremely busy. I love to eat here when I am in Clayton, GA. Good fresh food. The atmosphere here is amazing. You can choose to eat inside or outside. Live music at night. I personally love their burgers, tacos, and wide selection of craft beer. This is not your everyday burger/bar joint. Universal Joint has never let me down, hungry or for the most important part...feeling broke because I spent too much. My only complaint is that sometimes the wait staff tend to forget to keeps drinks filled. But that is a tiny price I will pay because this place is that good. read more

Visiting family in the area and had dinner here. Food was good, not great. Had fries as an app which were covered in cheese, bacon and jalapeños... yummy. Just your normal frozen fries, but with the toppings they were good. Again our meal was good, but atmosphere was fun. Some at our table enjoyed margaritas and some of the microbrews they have. Went to leave and was blocked in. We were told the nearest parking to the restaurant was reserved for the employees, not their customers. The sign at the entrance said Private Parking.
