I had a small German Cockroach problem in my apartment 2 years ago and reached out to Pro Don Pest Management on Yelp for a quote. Daniel replied promptly with a flat rate and availability. Thankfully they had a time slot at 8am the next morning! The rate included initial treatment and also a follow-up treatment (if needed, within 90 days of initial treatment). The exterminator came exactly at 8am. I brought him to the kitchen and bathroom where I saw most of the roaches at. He put the gel bait and also sprinkle some other bait around, pulling out the refrigerator and stove. He also went into the bathroom and put some around the sink and the pipes under the sink. After that, I haven't seen any other roaches around. The entire process was super easy and Pro Don Pest Management was very accommodating. The technician who came was very, very friendly and knowledgeable. I also referred Pro Don Pest Management to my parents who needed an exterminator for a bed bug problem in my grandmother's apartment. After the scheduled visit, my parents haven't had any problems with bed bugs since! Pro Don Pest Management is a life saver!

The tech gave a story how the special caulk they used contained special metals pests hated. The same caulk is available at Home Depot for $10 the free estimate they offer serves no purpose because they tack on the fees where they had to come out on top. Was overpriced on the services received as I read the reviews on this page. Get a second estimate before reading good reviews. Bunch of snark comments were made after the purchase as well. After the job was complete used gloves were left at the job site. Would have been 1 star but the problem as of now has been solved.

(I should mention that I also received a free inspection from a big, national termite exterminating competitor company, who gave me the standard sales pitch with no context. Not only was ACE less expensive, they also gave me a better service guarantee with regard to monitoring and future treatments!) When ACE came to install the products we needed, Don and his co-worker got right down to business, and were speedy and thorough. I definitely plan on using them again for my future bug needs (though we hope not to have any)! (FYI, I believe they are Black-owned, in case you have an interest in supporting Black businesses. However, MOST importantly, you should hire them because they are EXCELLENT.)

Not only did they kill the little critters but also sealed my mattress to prevent any further infestation. I highly recommend Ecology EP. If you ever come across this problem, do give them a call. Like I mention before they were courteous and expedient.Their prices too were reasonable and below the competition. For the relief they gave me, it was worth it.

I had bedbugs once before in 2007, and I've seen how other companies operate, so it's not for…read morenothing when I say I'm extremely impressed with Ecology EP and Arnold the director. (N.B. I will alter this review if their work doesn't hold up, so please take comfort if this is still here and still has five stars three months from now.) The thing is, when I woke up this morning to find a live bedbug walking across my comforter in front of my nose, I instantly went into full panic mode--not because bedbug bites are so terrible (you'll survive)--but because the PROCESS is MISERABLE. Here was what was horrible BEFORE I found Ecology Ep: *Landlord pretended like he'd never heard of such a thing, and only begrudgingly sent his "exterminator" who sprayed with generic chemicals around the perimeter and left me with hopping mad bedbugs. (Note to 25 year old me: Small Claims Court is your friend.) *I was poor and as a result (or so I thought) the guy I could afford said that I had to do a lot of work on my own. Meaning: *Bagging up everything I owned. *Carrying everything that I could wash to the laundromat. *Dry cleaning what I could afford to dry clean and throwing away the rest. *Buying a new mattress cover and putting it on my infested mattress all by myself. *Throwing out half my furniture. *And even then he had to come back twice, probably because I didn't do everything correctly (given that I was doing it all by myself.) Arnold put me through none of that. It was AMAZING. Here's why: *Great price written right on the website--and LESS than what I paid in 2007. That's shocking--you'll see why in a minute--but it was also great because it meant I could call my landlords and say: "Here's what we're doing, THIS is the price, you're legally obligated to pay for it, and we're doing it tonight before the problem becomes insane. Also, it's coming out of my rent." They said, "Oh my god oh my god fine!" *They guaranteed the work at the industry standard, also right on the website. Another thing I could tell my landlords. *They're licensed and insured and used proper invoicing, also great for dealing with landlords. *Ecology Ep showed up the same day I called. *Arnold brought a small ARMY of people. Four workers, all very sweet. *The price INCLUDED mattress covers for my bed AND my futon. *THEY put the mattress covers on (the worst job ever.) *THEY moved all my furniture--but I didn't have to throw anything away! *THEY bagged up all the things that needed washing. *THEY helped me carry all my stuff to the laundromat. *Instead of putting me through the cost of dry cleaning, THEY brought a steam cleaner and steamed all my good clothes. *AND they didn't just spray with Ecologically sound (but guaranteed!) chemicals, but they ALSO sealed the cracks in my floors and steamed all my books and things I probably couldn't clean on my own. *AND they found the bedbug nest. And killed those jerks. *AND they were extremely kind and lovely about it, from beginning to end. A real plus when you're traumatized by bedbugs. Also, I asked Arnold to check another property while he was in the area, and he found no bedbugs. He could easily have sold me on more work, but he didn't lie, above-and-beyond compassion and professionalism I found consistent with the negative review and his response listed here. Frankly, his straightforward response to the negative review on his free service was an additional reason for me to hire him. Arnold told me he has a lot of contracts now with a lot of large shelters, dorms, and schools, and I believe it. As a young single woman, Ecology EP's help was enormous at an unbelievable price. I strongly recommend them to others who need help.

BEWARE: DISHONEST TRAPPER; OUT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY; RUDE DEMEANOR…read more I've rarely leave reviews, but my experience dealing with Steve the Trapper was so unpleasant I feel compelled to warn others of his services. I've also learned a bit about their raccoon trapping process, which you might find helpful. I hired Steve to trap squirrels at my mom's house, and he pre-authorized my card for $1,250, his standard rate. Upon arrival he discovered we had a raccoon problem (and likely squirrels too). Given my perceived urgency of the situation--due largely to Steve's raccoon mania stories and the elaborate process of trapping them (Steve is quite the salesman), and the fact that I wasn't home and wanted to resolve the issue quickly--I agreed to an additional $1,650. This included $300 for his "standard" raccoon trapping fee, and the remaining $1,350 for using "high quality, waterproof" sheet metal to seal holes on the roof. I had nine holes on the roof, some initially caused by winter storms, which were torn bigger by the raccoons, and some smaller holes around the eaves perhaps caused by squirrels. We agreed on $200 each to seal the large holes and $85 each for the small holes. So a total cost of $2,900, about half to get rid of raccoons and half to seal holes. And as a "courtesy," Steve didn't charge me sales tax and said he would also put in squirrel traps (which never happened). He said he'd send me an invoice later in the week with the services broken out as we discussed. I never received a service invoice. I looked up sheet metal costs (you can buy commercial grade sheet metal 36in x 36in for about $15) and realized if I were going to pay someone $1,350 to cover up holes with thin pieces of metal that are NOT waterproof, I considered instead to replace the roof, given it was a bit old anyways. So I told Steve that I hired a roofer--a $15K job that is all done now--and no longer needed him to seal the holes. He immediately responded that I wasn't getting a single dollar back. He said I had a "contractual agreement" with him to perform services (despite no actual service invoice), and that it didn't matter if I changed my mind, he was going to keep the money regardless. What did I get in return for $2,900? A trapper who had his guys put small steel cages (which you can buy for $30 each, though Steve claims his 3 traps cost $800) and calls you a few times to check if you're hearing noises. The cages are meant to let the animal(s) leave and not come back in, so there's no way for them to know if they're actually gone unless you tell them so. Keep reading... In one of the 3 traps Steve placed, his guys had to tear the existing hole bigger to so that the raccoon could get out easily. This created a funnel that caused water leakage and wall damage on both floors of my mom's house. Steve of course denied any fault, but prior to setting up the traps his guys had checked inside first to make sure there wasn't leakage, and there wasn't. After sending Steve pictures of the damage and requesting the refund again, he agreed. He said I would need to sign some paperwork to confirm his services. But upon meeting him, he said he was only willing to give me $400 of my $1,350 back. When I told him that was unreasonable given he didn't perform the services of sealing the holes, he got angry, started yelling, and ended with "get the money from your fucking roofer." Consider me foolish by agreeing to pay $3K for something that you can DIY for a couple hundred dollars at the most, and agreeing to pay in full upfront without receiving a detailed invoice. And I'll admit I do feel foolish, especially given the time wasted going back and forth and getting nothing back. Perhaps you might have a different experience with Steve and his company, but why risk it? There are other trappers in the area, and hopefully they have a higher level of integrity. I'd strongly recommend you find someone else (and make sure you have the services spelled out clearly in writing).

First, the one and only nice thing to say is that the exterminators are usually very nice people and mean well. However, they are the furthest thing from experts. They've yet to figure out why mice are getting in the building, and their answer to everything is scheduling follow up appointments. Automated phone services are more useful than their live receptionists. Not only are they completely incompetent, but they're nasty as can be. They tell you a time slot and don't show up, they have flat out not showed up at all, and never take accountability for anything. How they are still in business is baffling.
