I think the picture speaks for itself in terms of the quality of work you can expect from Universal Auto Body. We bought this car brand new a few months ago so you can imagine whirlwind of emotions we felt when the door was damaged in an accident. We reached out to our dealer who provided a few preferred body shops and Universal was one of them. We went to a few for quotes and while everyone was comparable in their pricing, we chose them because of their glowing reviews, and the feeling we got after meeting them that our car would be restored to new. Personally, I was worried the paint just wouldn't look the same but when I picked up my car today I felt like I was getting it right from the Hyundai lot. It was the cleanest it's been since I bought it - inside and out! Walter, who was my primary point of contact, is super personable, transparent and honest. He knows what he's doing, is bilingual, and actually had the car ready two days ahead of plan! I highly recommend this body shop and though I hope to not to need them anytime soon, will definitely return if needed. read more

I had my Audi Q5 door and bumper repaired at this relatively new body shop. I have AAA insurance and AAA only had ONE place within 25 miles that was an 'approved' body shop. Of course that one body shop had a wait list so long that you'd be long dead before it was time for them to see you sort of like most hospitals in the country. Anyway, I looked around and found Universal Auto Body on a Yelp search. Five star reviews from everyone? Seemed too good to be true but since it's one of the few body shops with reviews, I pulled the trigger and came here. I was pleasantly surprised by the courtesy and professionalism of the owners and their office staff. They were able to take care of things through the insurance so I didn't have to do much other than pay for my deductible. The car took about a week to fix and it came back looking good as new. These guys are open on Saturday which is a big plus for me. I didn't have to take time off work to drop off or bring in the car as I was able to do that on Saturdays. Overall it was a relatively painless experience. I hopefully don't won't need to bring in my car for body work any time soon but if I do I'll bring it here. read more

I go to the dry cleaners next door to this place and I walked over one day to get a quote on a paint job I needed done on my BMW. I had a few scratches in a couple places that I wanted to get fixed. I got quoted over $1500 at two other places but I did the damage myself (embarrassing) so insurance wasn't involved which is why I was looking for the best deal- at the best place. I worked with Nick, he gave me a fair price and they took my car in the following week. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. Everyone who I encountered was very friendly. They have complimentary coffee/water. The job took 2 days and I was very impressed with their work. Communication is great, they stuck to the price we agreed on and it was a nice experience. I needed my front and rear bumper taken off for this repair so it wasn't just a quick paint over. The paint work turned out flawless. I read great reviews on google about this place after discovering them (before bringing my car in) and I'm happy I put my trust in the right place! When you have a nice a car you have to be very careful where you take it. These guys do high quality work and they aren't trying to rip anyone off. Honest and trustworthy. I will bring my car here for future needs....they also do car detailing, wheels and glass work. One stop shop! They wash your car for you after the job is complete so when you pick it up, it looks brand spanking new! I highly recommend them. read more

I was extremely impressed with my experience at Universal Auto Body. One of the owners, Perez is an absolute professional and his team did an exceptional job repairing my 2015 Subaru Legacy. I was given a fair & honest quote and his team delivered on-time, within budget and even detailed/washed my car upon pick up. The paint job was flawless which was my biggest concern. While my car was in the shop I stopped in several times to check in to see how things were going. I dropped off my car to get the windows tinted. It took hours longer than I was told it would and I had to call back for a status update multiple times since the owner wouldn't answer his phone. When I picked up my car, one of the wheels which had been painted within the last five days was scuffed, which it wasn't when I dropped it off. The owner of the business refused any responsibility even though he and/or his employees clearly damaged the car. The owner is trash, I'd be careful bringing your car here. read more

First of all this is a long due review. We were unfortunate enough to have accidents with not our faults on both of our cars (Mini and Bimmer) within a month in March. Since this place is quite close to where we live and they have quite good reviews on Yelp and Google, decided to give a shot which came out to be a right decision. They did an excellent job especially on Mini which is 7 years old came out pretty much brand new and also on the Bimmer which came out like the day I bought it. The paint job on Mini (which is a rare color) was just amazing. Also both cars were fixed in timely manner and finished earlier than quoted time. Now it's 7 months since my both cars were there and no issue so definitely they did a good job. Pricing was also very reasonable compared to the dealer and other places around (even though mine were paid by other parties insurance). Thank you guys for the good job! read more

I was recommended to Perez, the owner of Universal Auto Body, by another Stamford auto body shop during my search for a local shop capable of high quality and fairly priced worked. Boy, was I fortunate for the recommendation because the paint job his crew did on my 1966 Ford F100 is STUNNING. Like any big restoration project, the complete repaint took a little time, but in the end it was so worth it because he delivered super work at the quoted price. Considering the truck is 49 years' old and was in need of a decent amount of body work, I thought there would be a good chance some uncovered "surpise" would result in a cost increase.
