My daughter was involved in an accident on I95 in Norwalk a few weeks ago, and my insurance company suggested Cotaling's as one of the preferred options in the area. Being that I'm from Baltimore, I had zero experience with auto shops in CT so I was at the mercy of competing online ratings. Right from the time my car arrived at Cotaling's I was kept updated on my car's status. From the initial repair quotes thru to the insurance company's decision to total the car, Joe made sure to contact me and keep me in the loop. I appreciated his commitment to keeping the lines of communication open. read more

Extremely nice staff. In business since 1970. Still founder-family operated. I worked with Joe. They gave a reasonable estimate. Repaired my front bumper to look excellent. (Reattached and buffed) And did some paint retouch on the side rear, also very nicely done. The wash they gave my car was also really good, and from the high shine, maybe they waxed it too. Thank you Cotaling's. read more

I highly recommend Coatling's. Their service and workmanship are outstanding! They did an amazing job repairing my car, and the area that was damged looks like new. I was so impressed with the work that was done and how quickly they were able to help me. Thank you, Peter, for your excellent service and great repair work! read more

I LOVE COTALING'S. An established full-body, full service Auto Repair shop. Family owned, which means to me, in my experience, that I get a warm friendly family atmosphere and respect, (every time-yikes) I need a car repair. Moving from brightly lit streets on Long Island & NYC to the dark night driving of CT, has cost me some bumps and dings, and other things over the last decade. COTALING'S, is always there for me. They do a lot of work for the people in surrounding neighborhoods, but are never too busy for their customers. From the first visit through the years. It's so true. They are a fabulous family group, it's fun to see everybody working generationally together; grandpa, grandma to sons and daughters, spouses and grandkids, and likely great-grands. But you wouldn't know, they are all so young in spirit and looks. Joe, is so great. See him. You can't go wrong. No swindling, no padding, all perfect timing. Thank you Cotaling's. See you soon for my Spring auto cleanup and fine tune. Susan Saraf read more

I just had a great experience with Cotaling's Auto Body. I got several estimates and they had the best pricing. The service was amazing. I worked with Connor who was responsive, professional, beat the timing to get in done and came in at the lowest estimate it could me. I could not have had a better experience. So different from other car repair shops! Great quality and value. My car looks great. They were recommended by a car service I use. read more

They were able to help me get a new mirror for my car very quickly. They are very friendly and the cost was fair. Would use them again if I needed to. read more

I took my older Subaru Outback to Cotaling's Auto Body shop because it had a couple of deep scratches with rusting. Joe Tatroe did a thorough estimate which turned out to be too high given the age of the car. He then suggested that instead they could do a 'brush touch-up' which would take care of the scratch cosmetically but MOST IMPORTANTLY would eliminate the risk of rusting. I was able to schedule an appointment immediately and they did the job while I waited on-site. The outcome is EXCELLENT and I am beyond pleased with the result. Given that I had to sit there for about 90 minutes I was able to witness first-hand that all customers are treated exceptionally well. I would say that they excel in customer service as well as providing a quality result that fits your budget. I highly recommend Cotaling's Auto Body as a first and only stop if you need any auto body work done. read more

My 2021 Toyota CH-R had two scratches on the back left passenger door. I was afraid it wouldn't look the same after the repair will be done. However, this place did an extremely great job at it. It looks like it never happened ! They did an amazing job. They washed my vehicle and returned it super clean. I would have given them a 5 star rating but they left dot paint all over the front passenger seat and a little on the dashboard. I brought the car back and the guy cleaned it nice and neat. He gave me a spray bottle of the product he used to take home too. read more

Best body shop in all of CT! Hate to admit, but have been there several times, and the owner and employees could not be more attentive, knowledgeable and eager to help. Given the "nerves" that often accompany a banged-up car, having Cotalings as a resource is a true treasure. They make the process easy and do a fantastic repair.... always. Go for a paint touch-up just to have your car looking its best. You will not be disappointed ! read more

What a great job! They repaired and painted my 1970 Land Rover's left fender (wing) perfectly! Aluminum body men are hard to find but these guys obviously know what they're doing! read more

My BMW was rear-ended and they did a beautiful job restoring bumpers and cameras AND worked on a Saturday to finish so we could get the car back sooner. Nice people. My insurance paid so I really can't comment on whether the price was competitive or not. read more

I've used them in the past. They did reasonably good work and my insurance paid the entire amount. Today I went for a quote that I'd pay out of pocket for because it's not worth going through my insurance company for. I went there and to 3 other places. Their price was higher by more than $300. I'm not saying not to use them, but definitely shop around if price is a concern to you. read more

So after fixing the paint from the dealer and about two years since I got it repainted. The clear coat started to flake just like before. Not only that but the bumper had a different shade of color than the rest of the body. My car is original red but the bumper is a much darker color and it's completely noticeable. read more

Have used Cotaling's several times for auto body and paint work. They are always very professional and transparent, which is a huge differentiator from other auto body shops. I had an issue with some paintwork that had been done and the Cotaling's team fixed the situation at no cost. I'm now a customer for life. read more

Cotaling's delivered top notch service to me in a time of need. I was out of town & needing repairs, but also flexibility with payment & pickup as I was still out of town. They helped arrange a tow truck, deal with insurance, pay over the phone, do electronic signatures of forms, & arrange for after hours pickup. They were professional & courteous throughout. read more

Cotaling's has done not one, but two totally outstanding jobs with our two vehicle's, and even though I would NEVER want anyone to have any mishaps with their cars, it does happen. The staff is amazing to deal with and totally honest and accurate with estimates, Will never go anywhere else, now that we have found them. Highly recommend Cotaling's AUTO BODY. Now we just have to hope for no incidents... read more

I was thoroughly impressed with their estimate as well as the end result on my car's rear/bumper dent. Very professional from providing an estimate to finishing the job on time as promised. I price shopped at several places in Norwalk before showing up here. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends. read more

I used to live around the corner from Cotaling's and I remember how busy they always are - including Saturdays - and how nice some of the cars are. Fast forward to recently when a tire shop jacked up my car at the wrong spot and bent the rocker panel frame, I needed some help to get that fixed. The owner (Peter) was exceedingly patient when I came by for a quote, worked with me on tracking down parts, and dealt with the tire shop. That whole process took weeks. The work itself was done on one single day. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up after work. I crawled under the car and looked at the work and it was great. They even remembered I asked them to rubberize spray that part to prevent rust, etc. Anyway, great work. I really hope I never have to visit another auto body shop again, but if I have to, I would definitely go back to Cotaling's. read more

Cotaling's did such a great job with auto body work on my Car. I had never used them before and really didn't ever venture out of local Wilton shops when I needed body work but I would highly recommend them! It is a family run business and they really care that you are happy with their work. I was given their name by State Farm Insurance as a preferred company that they work with. I will be using them for any work in the future. There was one small thing that I noticed after a week of having my fixed car back. I called Liz Cotaling and she told me that I should bring it in ASAP for them to look at it as they want it to be perfect for me. I brought the car back and they fixed it perfectly and got me home and back to get it so I wasn't inconvenienced in any way. Peter Cotaling made sure that I was happy. This family cares about the work that they do and that is very rare in present day where many businesses don't see customer service as a priority. I am so happy that I was referred to this company and will be referring people for sure! read more

They do not have enough stars to rate these folks. The level of service is amazing, they are accommodating. I travel all the time but they were willing to work around my crazy schedule. The work was superb, their price was a thousand dollars less than competitive bids (on a $2500 job). No Mickey Mouse games, no insurance schemes, straight up people. When I picked my car up, it had been cleaned in such detail, it looked brand new. Think about this, I had some body work done on the outside and they had the inside detailed. It is not like they are bored, they are busy and busy for a reason, because they are good. If you need body work you have to get a bid from these guys. read more
