    This is the 3rd time I have used Piece of Cake. They completed my move from lower Manhattan to…read moreCenter City Philadelphia this past week. They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. Emily handled my concerns with professionalism, fairness, and real diligence. She could not have been nicer. She listened, took the issues seriously, and worked through them in a way that felt fair and respectful. My original concerns about the move itself remain what they were. But I also recognize that any business of this size can occasionally have a bad crew or a bad experience in the field. What matters is how the company responds when that happens. Here, the response after the move was excellent. Credit is due where credit is due: the post-move customer service, especially from Emily, was outstanding. For that reason, I am giving the company 5 stars for how it handled the aftermath and resolved the issues. I will use them the next time I move. Emily was that good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!     DO NOT HIRE GREAT MOVERS -- UNPROFESSIONAL, CARELESS, AND DISHONEST…read more On October 30, 2025, I hired Great Movers to remove and store heavy items from my property. Three movers arrived, led by a foreman named Steve. They were instructed to place the sofa and love seat in a designated dumpster area. During the move, the team used our bathroom while working in the bedroom. Shortly after they left, my daughter arrived home and immediately realized that her gold, diamond, and pink sapphire necklace -- a deeply sentimental graduation gift she'd worn almost daily for three years -- was missing. It had been safely in the bedroom that morning, and she hadn't worn it that day due to her outfit choice. We searched thoroughly. It was gone. I texted Steve immediately and asked for his manager's contact information. When he called back, I explained what happened. His first response was dismissive: "Great Movers isn't responsible for stolen items." No empathy, no concern, no sense of accountability. Over the next three days, I called the company multiple times and left messages for management (Saad or anyone in charge) -- not a single call was returned. Zero acknowledgment. As if that wasn't enough, I then received a call from building management saying the movers had dumped my furniture next to a pizza shop's dumpster, upsetting the business owner. I had clearly told them to place the items inside the designated dumpster area. When I called again, the dispatcher promised to contact Steve. Steve later claimed I "never said anything" about a designated area -- an outright lie. He finally returned to move the furniture to the proper spot, but even then, he set it next to the dumpster until I told him to put it inside. When I again brought up the stolen necklace, he was cold, sarcastic, and emotionless. I told him I would be filing a police report and that if the necklace was returned, there would be no questions asked. His only reply was to ask "where it was located." It is now November 5, and I have still received no response from Great Movers management. This experience has been deeply upsetting, not only because of the stolen jewelry and unprofessional conduct, but also because of the company's complete lack of integrity, accountability, and compassion. My advice: DO NOT USE GREAT MOVERS. If you value your belongings -- and basic human decency -- find another moving company. Great Movers = Great Disappointment.

I was charged nearly double what I was quoted and agreed upon. This was outrageous, I was sure there was a mistake. When calling to speak to someone about this I believe I was given the owners son. The owners son said the guy who did our quote was "getting old" and it "was just a quote". So you grossly miss calculated the cost and then charge the customer double? Nowhere in this phone call did this clown ever apologize and had the most smug attitude on the phone something I'm sure he would not have had we been communicating face to face. 2) terrible workers. The staff was also poor. When wrapping one of my tables the guy actually walked on the table ( table was upside down legs in the air, very long table and the guy walks from one end to other ON THE TABLE) I had to actually yell at this guy. They were not gentle seemed to be in a rush despite packing up a 5500 sq foot house, and overall lack of care was astonishing. I would get better performance from a group of highschoolers than what I was unfortunately presented with by booth movers. 3) damages to new condo To add on to the complete unprofessional and lack of skill labor booth has, they have damaged the walls throughout my house. Some deep scratches some surface level scratches. I've moved 3x in my life and every time I've never had one instance of a scratched wall. I get this can happen but given the rest of their abysmal performance this could not go unrecognized. I was too exhausted dealing with my fathers death and a plethora of other things to continue to entertain the clowns here decided to cut my losses and just let go, but let it be known to anyone else to use ANYONE else other than these guys. I'd the owners son or whoever that man was had even the least bit of customer service ability I'd be able to come to the conclusion accidents happen , but this guy was so condescending and so rude with a few other choice words I'll leave out I cannot NOT RECOMMEND this place enough.

    Overall not too bad on this interstate move (NJ to TN). Crew and supervisor pleasant to work with,…read morecompetitive price. However, note the following: Packing and moving services were both utilized. Representative came to review primary location of belongings to be moved (approx. 90-95% of the total) and was provided with a detailed video of the remaining items, stored at a different location. Despite this upfront information, (a) the total weight was significantly in excess of the estimated amount, resulting in damage to the transport vehicle and a 2-day delay, and (b) at the secondary location the supervisor informed us that there was insufficient room for everything. He had to be cajoled and convinced into making the extra effort... which proved effective and successful. A number of bookcases were damaged during while handling and required subsequent repair, at our expense. One item was a tool cabinet containing a variety of hand tools, hardware, and the like. The crew's solution to this was to simply wrap and seal the cabinet in plastic, and put it in the truck. By the time it was in place at the destination, we found that the contents were in utter chaos, luckily with minimal breakage. Some softbound oversized books were placed in boxes haphazardly or sloppily, resulting in significant creasing of wide swaths of pages. A few items additional appear to have gone missing (none of particular value) and a small number of items were broken. Overall I would in fact recommend their services, particularly in consideration of the pricing, but I would strongly recommend that if you contact them for packing services that these be closely and carefully supervised.

I was very nervous because I have a lot of glass items that I was moving from my house, but everything came back in tack. His team members were very friendly and professional. I plan to use them again for my next move.
