I made my appt. for a passport at 12 pm on a Monday and was not taken until about 2:15 pm because the woman who handles this at this office didn't arrive till about 1:30 pm. Not to mention that I had made a passport appointment the previous week, but it was cancelled about 45 minutes before I was scheduled to be there. If the front desk worker goes on break, there is no one to cover the shift so the waiting line just gets longer and longer. It's just poorly run overall.

Older white woman (don't know her name) was difficult and ignorant to my wishes. I have been there…read moremany times and only one other time did I have an associate help me with a package. Today I had a prepaid label and wanted one of the plastic bags with a seal to ship this. Which I seen someone else had used and i have received one of those for free prior from the other associate. I've never seen this lady before and she said they don't have them and I told here where they were, she said they're not for sale. I'm thinking what that even means because what is the packaging there for then? She tells me whoever gave it to me before was not doing what they were supposed to do because they have no free packaging. I still asked can I purchase it? She said they're not for sale I need to buy bubble wrap or different packaging. It was for a purse... a small leather one already used because I'm a reseller. She's asking if it's a return and if it has a prepaid label which I already told her what I was there for. Clearly not listening to me and not willing to help the customer. I go there all the time to drop off packages with my own packaging for this reason. Today I just wanted a different packaging because I didn't want to use something so big for this item and overall I wasted a whole trip there because she couldn't accommodate what I was asking for. I will be going back with a big box for this small item because of her inconvenience!

I utilize Staples for many things in my school: copier paper, office supplies, and printing services. I like the Staples print capabilities and their one day turn around time for posters (in particular). Each time I go the Norridge Staples to pick up an order, there is either no employees available or there is general confusion about how to access an order that has been printed. My most recent experience was last week and I was so infuriated by the sheer ignorance of the staff that I felt compelled to write a review. There were three employees (that I could see) - two men and one woman. I asked the woman if she could call someone to the print are - she radioed for someone. Meanwhile the two men and this woman engaged in a conversation, swearing and laughing it up. The two men literally ran to the back of the store and began horsing around with each other. I stood there for over 10 minutes waiting and asked the woman to get her manager or supervisor, to which she replied 'I don't have a manager.' I told her that I was sending en email to the customer email on their website to report how terrible to service is in this store and that I'd be replacing Staples in my school with a new vendor. One of the two men finally appeared and admitted to being a manager, got my order and said he doesn't have anyone to work the print area. Then why would Staples take orders if they don't have anyone to manage the print area? And by the way, the order was already printed and paid for - I just need it to be brought across the counter. Terrible customer service! I'm not sure how this store continue to be open. Take your business elsewhere. You'd be better off waiting for Amazon to deliver what you need than stepping foot in this Staples.

Mid-American has been exceptionally accommodating and done very good work for the small college…read morewhere I work for many years. Though the college's relationship with Mid-American extends further back than this, in the four years that I've been regularly working with them, there have been no significant problems and many great successes. They always make sure that we're not paying more than we have to--even if it means telling us that some job we've offered them would be cheaper at Kinko's. They've gone to bat for us when we've had issues with postal permits and delivery issues. They routinely think of slightly different ways of doing thing than the ones we initially envisioned that make our lives easier, our publications better, and our bills less expensive. Our contact there, Bruce, is so integral a part of how we get our work done that he may as well be another employee of the college, half the time. At my company, we aren't big enough to have an in-house print shop--and we're small enough to highly value knowing who we're working with so that person can be a colleague, rather than a salesman, to us. If you're concerned about environmental impact, Mid-American uses soy-based inks and can use Forest Stewartship Council-approved paper--and can get your publications FSC-certified. Print FSC and Soy Ink logos on your publications, and you can make a statement to to your Green customers. Can't recommend them highly enough.

They were quick with both the proofs and the prints. They were very nice, flexible, and accommodating. I'm not a professional designer - I only do it on the side - so I sincerely appreciated that they were willing to run some quick proofs for us as I found a way to get the resolution up to where I wanted it. The issue was on my end with the file I had created, so it was nice to be able to adjust things to get what we wanted. Hoping to use them in the future. Thanks for the help!

This had to be done in Chicago. We were on a time crunch to get this sorted out. Simon Global got the document for us, added the required certification and had it to us in Malta all within a week.
