This was my first time visiting and I was not disappointed. The owner is super helpful and friendly. Her prices are cheaper than any other place I've found. There is also a bevy of products for sale like candles, jewelry, knickknacks, home goods and embellishments. I highly recommend you stop in if you're ever in the area. You can even come in and shop for gifts and cards,candy,candles and Guess what when you are all done you can just get your gifts wrapped up nice with the gift wrapping service and them ship them off right here. Wrote my review and it was removed ! So I will tell you about my experience about 6 months ago I went there with two packages to be mailed the owner was very rude. I couldn't believe she would talk to people like this. I swore I would never go back. I went back a couple months later because I didn't want to stand in line at post office. I told her I had a book of stamps I would never use so could she tell me the price of package I would use the stamps and pay the difference. Again she said rudely I have never heard of that we can't do that. I left went to post office were they did it no problem. Its very to hard to write how someone was rude or how they spoke to you. I closed my packing service store last year and had a truck full of inventory. I checked yelp for services similar to what I had to see if they would be interested in some of my inventory. I read all the reviews about this store and noticed that the company must have changed owners since 2016, as the earlier reviews were horror stories, but since then the reviews are terrific. I went there to see if they may be interested in the inventory I have. Yvonne is terrific with her attitude and service to her customers. She kept apologizing to me so she could attend to her customers as they entered her store. Her professionalism, honesty, and genuine concern for her clients was only outshined by her bubbly smile she could not prevent to each and every person that walked in. read more

we received a FULL refund because Parcels Express was unable to complete the contract they signed with us...... everyone at Chicago Lock Box and Mt Greenwood USPS warned us about her and now we know why..... kinda wondering why upon signing the contract she was boasting about how she knew how to fulfill our needs and now is saying we were doing something illegal? strange turn of events when she actually has to work for the contract and customers!! not a happy friendly place to do business with! read more

I was hesitant about going to this establishment due to the previous reviews but I went anyway. I was so pleased. There is obviously a new employee working there. Her name is Yvonne and she gave superior service. She was patient, attentive and kind. She had everything available from stamps, to boxes, to costume jewelry. The service here is terrible !!!! The owner which happens to be the worst business person I've ever dealt with is the most rude, unfriendly and disgusting person ever !!!! I tried to overnight an letter and she said it would be $70.00!!! I told her I normally send this through ups store the same way and it never cost this much . She got mad when I told her to cancel it(probably because she wasn't going to make the extra money robbing me ) !! I promptly left after auguring with her which she initiated and went to the ups store in Palos where I was treated with great service and a system that already had my information in it.. And wouldn't you know it ...the same package overnight cost 33.00 bucks not the 70.00 that the rude unprofessional lady in the crapy store was trying to charge me ... This is one of the worst places to use for a P.O. Box. After promising that the mail would be put in on time every day by a certain time it is always a disappointment. Phyllis sits behind her desk and will blatantly tell you the USPS has delivered the mail but she "doesn't have time" to put it in your box. After having a P O Box in Alsip for almost 20 years we will transferred to Parcels Plus. As a business owner I can not believe she is still in business. We will be transferring to Blue Island with our business mail to avoid Phyllis. read more

Where is a negative star when you need one because Parcels Express deserves it? First, let me say Phyllis likes to claim the police have been called and a report filed when she responds to negative reviews; that never happened in my encounter. Second, Phyllis tried to say I was belligerent and cursing at her when she initially responded to my BBB complaint but when that story didn't work she finally said I was in a scheme with a former employee because the employee asked me to give her free food for free services but I never received any free services. The only business transaction I did with Parcels Express and its employees was to buy a mailbox which was paid for with my credit card. The former employee never asked me for food for free services; I offered to give the former employee some food I took from my home that I wasn't planning on using. Anyone who knows me knows I give away food, clothes and other items regularly. Since Phyllis claims she has a video of me participating in a scheme with this former employee than it would seem she would have a video of me cursing at her or being belligerent. Unfortunately, Phyllis cannot provide any such videos because these claims are not true. I recommend everyone go to the BBB's website and write a customer review DO NOT file a complaint. A complaint is not seen by others and the BBB tries to work as a mediator between the two parties. This was futile in my case since Phyllis has not yet returned my money for renting a box. She also has not returned my mail as of 6-2-15 back to the companies that have sent them, specifically some checks that had to have a stop payment put on them. Please note, Parcels Express is NOT accredited by the BBB and the A+ rating you see is only based on the BBB's opinion of how the business is likely to interact with its customers. Below is my un-customer like service with the owner Phyllis of Parcels Express: I had purchased some items and used the companies tracking system to determine when the items were delivered to my private mailbox. I initially went to Parcels Express the weekend of March 7th to pick up my delivery but was informed by Phyllis that my item had not been delivered. I informed her that I had received tracking confirmation that it had been delivered earlier in the week. I left the business and waited a few days; on March 11th I called the business to see if my package had arrived. I was told that the owner of the private mailbox where I used to do business had dropped off a box (note they decided to close their business which is the only reason why I started doing business at Parcels Express). I stated to Phyllis I was sure that wasn't the delivery I was looking for. I knew it wasn't because I had updated my mailing address with the company I purchased the item from as well as PayPal in advance of placing an order. Phyllis' response was, "I don't have time to babysit you", and then she hung up the phone on me. On March 12th at 5:10 pm I went to pick up the box that was left for me by the owner I previously did business with. Phyllis told me I had two boxes, once I received my boxes I asked Phyllis about a text message I had received on February 21st from her business. The text stated I had been signed up for mail and package notification via text. Phyllis said, "I've been busy. I don't have time to send you text or babysit you. You rented a box and that's all you get. If you want my time, that will costs you and my time is worth $25/hour." I responded, "All I need you to do is what you told me you would do and that is to send me a text. I don't need you to babysit me; I'm a grown woman probably your age." She said as she walked away, "I'm busy I don't have time for you (something inaudible) if you give me shit I will (inaudible again)." I responded, "What did you say?" Phyllis responded, "I said, don't give me shit because I don't eat shit. If you give me shit I will give it back to you." I responded, "Is that how you talk to your customers?" She kept saying the phrase and told me told me I better apologize to her. I told her she should be apologizing to me after that cursing. She continued to repeat the phrase, "Don't give me shit because I don't eat shit. If you give me shit I will give it back to you. If you don't apologize to me, I'm going to cancel your box and write on all your mail 'return to sender'." I told her she could refund my money and she told me I wasn't going to get a refund to read my contract than she picked up her cell phone and said, "I need you to come over because that ass Judith is here." I was like OMG, walked out of the business and when I got in my car I called the BBB at 815-963-2222 around 5:21 pm. read more

horrible horrible experience!! First and last time I EVER go to this store. I would LOVE to get in contact with Phyllis M. The owner of this place and tell her exactly why I will never go here again. Her employees are so anxious to get out on time that they messed up completely my shipment to Mexico through DHL, by the way this shipment cost me almost 200 dollars, and because she wrote everything wrong on the shipment, costums kept it and I'm out ALL OF MY MONEY. Somehow, someway, I am fighting for this. I have spoken to just about any one I can! I have proof that DHL sent me that she wrote and added everything up wrong.
