I've gone to ordering all of my office supplies on the apps since that became the only option back during the pandemic and I realized how convenient that is. However, I accumulated a ton of in cartridges. So I had ink cartridges that I needed to recycle for $20 rewards credits and went to Staples on 96th and Cicero in Oak Lawn. The employees were polite and helpful, but I was baffled at the fact that they did not have the ink package that I ordinarily purchase! Also, the cost of the ink was pretty high. read more

I went to return an Amazon order. Chris insisted he only needed to scan 1 barcode for the return even though I was returning 2 different items. He assured me that the other barcodes automatically generate. Few hours later, I get a refund on 1 return but not the other. I contact Amazon and they said the code never got scanned. After calling the location, Mickey and the other representative both hung up the phone on me and kept putting me on hold in the middle of me speaking. When I got back to the store to see why my return hasn't been initiated, I had to wait 30 min while they can find my package. Then Mickey tells me the GM Jeremy was there. I asked to speak with Jeremy and he showed no interest in what I had to say, telling me he just recently took over this store. Overall nobody cares at this location and will give you dirty looks when you tell them that they made a mistake. Definitely take your business elsewhere. read more

So I reordered my business cards as I have done several times before. I got a call that their printer was down, so I got them 5 days later. It was supposed to be the next day. When I went to pick them up, the backside was upside down. The guy Matt instead of checking my order assumed I uploaded it this way & tried to blame me. I did not, I double checked when I got home; the image was correct. So he reprinted them and they are still not correct. I don't know what he did to the image but it's darker than the image that was uploaded. Super irritated with Staples right now. I'm a small business owner & cant be throwing my money away. I will be reaching out to them again to see if they can correct it. I'll be taking my business elsewhere for the next batch. read more

Updating my review: I had a better experience today at the print center where Ashley was a gem. They got rid of their old fax machine, so I needed a bit of a tutorial on how to get the system going. She was the only one there and was multitasking to help all of us. I appreciate her asking me if I needed help as I looked lost. I thankfully figured it out after she showed me. I asked her if the digital cover sheet is extra, and she said it's included. I ended up getting a refund for 1 page which I appreciate. The new way to fax is so much quicker, and I am looking forward to coming back here. Hopefully Ashley will be there again, and by the time I got home maybe like 10 minutes later, I called the facility I was faxing to and they already received it. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a Staples, print center etc. read more

I asked for help multiple times at the print and copy section. Trying to pay cash and needed a simple code to be scanned. Was told I will be met in the area and helped. Waited 10 minutes and went back to ask for help and was told again I will be met in the print and copy section to scan a simple CODE TO PAY CASH! Waited another 10 minutes and watched everyone working there do everything else except scan this code for me to pay cash. I even saw the lady I asked for help both times staring at me as if she had something to say. NOONE HELPED! JUST NEEDED WORK DOCUMENTS COPIED. Ended up just going to FedEx, at least they have a system that doesn't require any assistance! And the store wasn't even busy at all! read more

Print Shop Experience I wanted to have memorial cards printed and thought I might be able to save a few $$ by going with Staples instead of the printer I have used in previous years. Since I was going to be in the area, the next day, I gave this Staples in Oak Lawn a call last Tuesday. A very nice woman in the print shop answered my call and tried to give me as much info as she could regarding how much it might cost : range of charge for "design team*, approximate cost of a sheet of cards, cost for cutting the cards. I did some rough math from the info she gave me, and figured I could probably get the job done for $50 or less and decided to stop there the next day. The print shop is on the right as you enter the store. There was a clerk behind the counter and a guy on the customer side. Although I did not really listen to their conversation, I got the feeling that I was interrupting a conversation more than a business transaction as I stood off to the side talking to my cousin. The clerk was pleasant enough, however, not as informative as the clerk on Tuesday night. All she could tell me is that it had to be sent to the "design team" and it seemed like the price for that service sounded more expensive than the night before. I just didn't feel very confident in this clerk relaying what I wanted to the "design team", so I decided to go to the printer I used in the past and am I ever glad that I did! Staples Overall I always liked Staples and have been to a number of them in past years, including this one. Perhaps it was because it was such a gray day, but the store felt a bit depressing the day I stopped in. We really didn't have time nor need to do any other shopping, so I can't speak to any other thing other than the store seemed pretty empty around 11 AM that Wednesday morning. My wife is a teacher in an elementary school. Last week our printer didn't function well since it's an old printer. Then yesterday we decided to go here since it's a weekday and she has no class. We came here early so it's not a hassle and tiring to shop. I'm too amazed by their flooring since it's clean. We went to the selection of printer. There are a lot of kinds and brands of printers so it's hard to choose. But in the end we chose the high quality printer. Its price is expensive. One staff member put the printer on the edge of the counter because we also bought art materials. Our cart was full of art and school supplies. My wife bought 5 boxes of ball pens with cute designs. She said to me that she will give it to her students for prizes. She got everything she needed. read more

Customer service is Terrible. I would not even go to this facility if it wasn't the only one close by. The manager Vanessa is not helpful and many employees are seen just standing around. The wait at the pick up desk is just ridiculous and when I asked the manager Vanessa if we could get more help because we have Been waiting in linto pick up items for 30 mins and there is only one associate trying to help everyone. My order was even messed up, I ordered same day address labels which were printed on the wrong type of paper so now I have to go back and have them fix it. This is my second time dealing with this stores manager not being helpful, not sure if she is even the manager however, this store really needs to train better and get more help at the pick up center for as much as we pay for our producywent back read more

I purchased a label marker for the classroom in July of 2018 the staff just went back to school last week . I went to use it but it keeps jamming I called the store waited on hold 19 minutes only to be told I could return it. The manager said unpin arrival it should be within 14 days. Rude staff, incompetent, and incapable of running a business. My manager placed an online order for an appointment I needed to get to immediately. Went to the store to pickup and was told the order was on hold and my manager would need to call and verify it. She had already received a message and called in to verify the order so I went back to the store. The first employee I asked said he'd check on the order, then wandered off and never returned- maybe he got lost back there in the wilds of their stock area? The second came around to check but couldn't give me any useful information. After 45 minutes, two trips in and out of the store in freezing rain, and missing my scheduled appointment, I gave up and asked my manager to cancel the order and place one with Office Max instead. The staff was rude, belligerent, and completely unhelpful, and business travelers beware- you won't be treated professionally or respectfully here. read more

I asked him how he gets to become a store manager when he does not know a difference btw product brand and number that I read off to him. As a small business owner, I rely on a lot of help for service and marketing. Staples is my go-to for all my small business needs. The rewards program is very generous and the staff is always helpful. It's a big-box store, but all the employees know me by name and that makes it feel like I'm getting the individual attention my business needs. Plus, everyone at the copy and print center always bends over backward to accommodate me. They treat everyone like their most important customer, regardless of how much you spend. Slow and lazy guy Aaron in the printing section played around on his phone and was super slow while I waited for him to print 3 pages. Went here to grab a few things and was going to get my vaccine laminated. Waited in line for 20 minutes while there was only 1 employee and about 4 people in line. The employee nor the customers he was helping were wearing their masks properly, barely even covering their mouths. Another customer asked for more employees to come over to the area and help, one man came up and said to the person in front of me he couldn't help him he didn't know how to do what the customer had asked. When it was my turn I asked if he could laminate my card he said he didn't know how. I just even attempt to "help" if you can't do something as simple as laminate a card. I ended up leaving that line and going to regular checkout and asked the cashier if she had any idea how long it would take to get a card laminated she said everyone in line was getting it done so it would be a while. Which wasn't the case. The first customers we're getting pictures printed and cut, the woman behind me had a pick up order. The staff is extremely unprofessional. Don't offer services that you can't provide. If you're looking for a staples, go to a different one, not this one. All around horrible service. read more

They have ball Frixion® erasable pens, which are so difficult to find! The location is clean, well organized and they get you out the door quickly, once you make your selections. Cool move by the cashier who opened another register to accommodate the line of customers, she actually told the lady that tried to rush over, that I was the next customer. A joke. Went in for office chairs. Asked two ladies who work there for help. Apparently they didn't go into work wanting to actually work because they ignored me then when I asked if they work there they go ya. I asked for a price for office chairs the big one looks straight ahead of me to a third co worker coming out of a room and yells to her *** ya got this?! And the two proceeded to walk past me. So I asked hey is she helping me now? And they left. The new lady helping didn't know the answer to any question I asked. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I went in this store to get a document scanned, and the clerk put it on the wrong flash drive!!!! What's even more of a joke is that when I first went there to get it scanned, the clerk said I needed a flash drive because they no longer email scanned documents due to "security" reasons. However, she then puts my documents on some stranger's flash drive!!!!! I had to drive all the way back to this store to get it redone. On top of that, she overcharged me for the scanning. So I had to waste more time going back to get a refund. Then I went back (I know, I know, should have NEVER went back), to have other private documents scanned, and they screwed up again!!!!!!!!!! They scanned my documents onto their computer, never putting it on my flash drive. I called manager Victor, and he was more than unhelpful. He told me to come back in and he would refund me. It wasn't worth the gas money to go back, so I asked if he could send a credit in the mail... of course, he says no! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Have a new computer and wanted Staples to set up. I have the staples premier reward card and understand you get 2 free services a year according to reward chart. The team supervisor said I do not know the answer because there are no pamphlets in store. The Easy tech (soooo nice) looked up on- line and tried to show her but she was too busy with employees showing them the next promotion. Then she leaves with no answer. I told the nice Easy tech to get her back. It took awhile , she was doing something else. She still could not figure it out. I got no where and a waist of time. What is the point to have these cards and management does not know what they do.The team supervisor was Shelly with horrible customer service. No apologies. Just blow the customer off .
