If I could, I would give this place a -100. Missing mail, the delivery woman saying don't pay attention to informed delivery because you can't count on that, to packages missing, to notifications saying I have a package at a locker then turns out it wasn't mine but I am supposed to believe they delivered some other package that's missing is not their fault? What gives? Do they know how to sort mail, or is it the delivery people who don't know how to close a mailbox as I watch them drive away not closing it and someone takes it? Went in person to research the package in a locker waiting 15 minutes to come to the "special door" then another 30 for the lady to forget she was supposed to be helping me. "Oh, I forgot about you." or "That informed delivery sure has made my life hard," is just some of the things I hear out of this location. Where is DOGE when you need it? lol Do we need informed delivery or just another scam? Shame Shame. Do postal workers still have to take tests like they did way back? lol If not, bring that back for some basic skills. This PO makes me want to move from Mansfield but dang I really love Mansfield. Darn shame. After the locker incident, I went outside and a lady stopped me to tell me she has to file another complaint with the postmaster they can't seem to delivery her mail. Always been well served at this Post Office, but recently got top tier service when, after a delivery that reflected as placed in a parcel locker, I discovered the wrong locker access had been given and promptly reached out to them. In less than two hours they'd gotten me the right key and I was able to secure my expensive items. The only downside is, I have to be responsible (which I am) for the other customer's item that was placed in the parcel locker I was initially given access to. I wouldn't like to have to gamble that someone else's integrity is the only thing guaranteeing that I receive my packages in the future, but I don't know any other way to handle it that won't deprive my neighbor of quickly receiving their goods. I also told the representative who answered and provided prompt service that I'd be returning it and I felt like they felt disadvantaged by the circumstances but don't know if they should've handled it differently being unfamiliar with USPS policies/protocols. read more

The post office is junk and their customer service is abysmal. The mail carrier stuffed a large package in my mailbox because they were too lazy to walk to the mail box. This is not the first time that it's happened. Poor service is one reason why the taxpayers will probably be bailing out the postal service when FedEx, UPS, Amazon, etc. put them out of business. read more

I live in the MAA apartments in Mansfield. My postman put packages in a locker last Friday. I tried the key to open it and it does not work. I called them on Monday and they said they would notify carrier. Went back on Tuesday, same key and it does not work. Left a message in my mailbox that key does not work . Received new mail on Thursday with note still posted in plain view and key still not replaced. Called again on Friday and they said they would notify carrier before he went out. It is now Monday again and the same damn key is there and yet the note was gone last Friday. Please tell me how incompetent can you be or you just don't give a damn. My carrier should be fired ! Not like they can't look and see the address on the mail and box doesn't match. They use to care about their job but not anymore. I absolutely won't support the post office. More times than I can count, I've gone to drop off a letter at this location's USPS drive-up drop box and the thing was completely full, to the point of overflowing. This poses a serious mail security risk as anyone can drive up and remove a letter from the drop box. For some reason Mansfield USPS will not add a second drop box. They can build an entire new mail add-on facility to the building, but not adding one more drop box when the one they have is completely unsecure is really baffling to me. The last time I went there, the drop box was jammed so full of mail that someone had set their mail ON TOP of the drop box. I found it most odd, though, because this was at 5:45 PM on a Thursday. Do the employees not empty the drop box out every weekday at 5:00 PM? Why was it completely full if it should have been emptied 45 minutes prior? I can only assume that they didn't even empty their ONE drop box that day. What gives?? read more

Since early 2000's, we've always experienced sub-par delivery in Mansfield. That being said, the staff are nice and respectful without that usual power trips you get from other USPS such as Kennedale and Arlington. Yes we ordinary lay-man folks don't know all the rates and restrictions, and that's why we ask. Stay the way you are, I can relate to relate delivery/pick-up but Don't be rude like the others. Also, kudos for having the drop-off bins further out from counters so we can adhere to social distance guidelines with out having to wait 20 minutes just to drop off some packages! read more

This post office location is a joke. I am staying in the area with a friend, and needed to get an important job application mailed out, overnight. It was going to the next state over (not far). I asked if by sending it out, I could guarantee it would get there the next business day. First of all when I arrived, they claimed that all purchases had to be cash only, no credit/debit purchases. I guess their computers were down (or that is what they told us). Something seemed fishy about that. Then the employee told me that because their computers were down, they could not guarantee that if I paid for overnight, it would get there the next day. They said it could take up to two days. Well I tracked the item and it apparently is taking two full days to arrive, which is past the deadline of when it was due! I feel like I wasted money, and should have sent it via UPS! Damn. This is lousy, and not acceptable Postal Service. Oh well. :-/ read more

Mansfield post office has the best customer service I have EVER experienced from any company, and their employees are amazing. Mr. Bill Hall (who you will almost certainly talk to if you call the main post office number) is a gentleman and a scholar. Seriously if I could hug the man without making it weird I would. On three separate occasions he has gone above and beyond to help me out. The first time, I had missed an important delivery that required my signature. I wasn't home because my grandfather was in the hospital dying. The card left in my mailbox said I could not pick up my package until the following business day. Because of my familial circumstances I would not have been able to so. I called the post office around 2pm, and Mr. Hall went out of his way to find my package so I could pick it up that same afternoon. He did so without knowing my story. He did it because he's a quality employee and a truly kind person. The second time, I had tracked my package via USPS, and saw that it had arrived at the Mansfield post office at 8am. I called at 8:30, and spoke to Mr. Hall yet again. At my request, he found my package so I could pick it up that morning - because I was not going to be home to sign for it later that afternoon. And this very morning, he did it for me AGAIN! My packages arrived around 8:30am. Once again, I will not be home later today to sign for them, so my postal hero found my packages for me, and I am about to pick them up. In today's world, truly exceptional customer service is rare, and I am so very thankful I live in a city with such amazing postal workers. All my fellow Mansfield residents should count themselves lucky that we have such great people working diligently to make our lives easier. read more

In keeping up with most other post offices I've had the horror of dealing with, Mansfield rates right up there with inferior delivery of mail. I get more mail for people who don't live at this address than I do for mail addressed to me. Tried calling numerous times but you get that rude, "we don't give a crap about our customers" automated robot and never a live person. I would never, ever send anything thru the USPS. They SUCK!! The only guy who knows what's going on or does any work is the guy at the front window. I didn't catch his name. I had a pink slip left at my house for package pickup because I was not home at the time. That was July 3rd. Obviously I couldn't pick it up on the 4th. So the 5th I go in at roughly 10am. I'm instructed to ring the package pickup doorbell. No big deal. I give my ticket to the guy and start waiting. 10-15 minutes later he comes back and asks me if my address end in road or street.... yes the post office that has the slip they left me that I had given him, is asking me what my address is. I tell him it's street and another 15-20 minutes of waiting. So after almost an hour a different guy comes to the door and says that I can sign this paper and she will drop it off. Which at this point I was fine with to just get done with it. I said so she has it on her truck, yeah she has them both on her truck ok fine. I sign. He says ok you'll have it today or tomorrow, wait. You said she had it on her truck. Yeah but she may have already went by your place. So, in the hour long event that was to pick up a single package standing there waiting on these derelicts, I have to wait for no reason. Because she probably has already went by my house. It makes no sense to leave a pickup slip with someone if your just going to load the damn box back on the truck the next working day! read more

I am new in the area. So my use of this facility has been just a few times. However, I have had two very good experiences here. The first time the Post Mistress was very helpful and even worked with me to prepare my four envelopes to be mailed as certified mail with return receipt cards. She made sure I was completely satisfied. I was confused when I went on Columbus Day and found it closed with nothing posted as a reminder that it would be closed on this holiday. A friendly poster would have been a good idea. All in all this is a great place to mail your packages and letters. The staff are helpful and friendly. When the line gets long, the Mistress comes out and tries to expedite the services herself. I recommend this location! read more

Worst post office I have ever dealt with. They never deliver packages when they are supposed to and just waste your money if you pay extra to have things delivered on weekends. I get you really don't want to work on the weekends, but that's your job. Please actually knock next time you say you attempted delivery at 7:03 am when you don't start runs until 9am. It would also be helpful if you actually left the delivery attempt slip on my door when I miss a delivery so I know who is trying to deliver my package and when they tried to deliver it. I needed a passport application expedited but couldn't get an appointment in time to head back to Houston, I walked in at 8:30 am with all paperwork and they squeezed me in with no hassle. I don't know if its this office responsible for this, or if its USPS as a whole, probably the latter. But about 4 times out of 5 packages are never delivered when they should be. Tracking info on my last package has said "in route" for two days and says it was to be delivered today. Well its Saturday, tomorrow they are closed. So what should have been a 3 day max delivery time is now 5. OH, did I mention the origin of the package is ONE HOUR AWAY. I could have driven and picked it up myself, but apparently ebay doesn't allow that, but that's another issue. I see why they are failing in a world that's ever increasingly becoming more digital. Time to get rid of it and let private sector do what they do best. UPS and FedEx any day over USPS for shipping. I only have to deal with them when I go through ebay. Passport experience...the worse. The post office was to process passport applications from 8am-430pm. I got here at 7:40 and was ready promptly at 8 but no one would answer the passport office door. A family came in shortly after 8:10 and we both waited until a post office worker came out. He ended up going to get the passport processor. The guy came out and said sorry, give me 5 minutes, I need to eat my breakfast. You mean to tell me you're 25 minutes late and you have customers sitting here but you want to go eat breakfast. We could hear them coming him in the intercom that he has customers. At this point, it's pretty close to 8:45. I get in the office with him and he proceeds to verify with me the initials for Louisiana...I'm sorry, are you working or should I do this for you. The price online told me 135, so I brought a money order for 135. Well they wouldn't take it, I had to use my cc to pay another fee and will have to go cash the original money order back to myself. Oh and it's 9am and I'm sitting here waiting on the cashier to process my application but he's busy taking a smoke break. Where's the manager bc this is a problem. Oh... they just came and told us that the cashier went to lunch...so the wait continues. read more
