Our experience mirrors many of the other victim reviews of United Speed Movers. Unfortunately, you often don't know you are dealing with them until moving day. We originally booked through 3 Brothers Moving & Storage (which also uses multiple other LLCs). They never disclosed that they subcontract to United Speed Movers. We paid our initial deposit to 3 Brothers, believing they were our movers. We were told someone would come two months prior to give a more accurate estimate, but no one showed until the night before our move. By then, the estimate had suddenly gone up by thousands of dollars--something we now realize is part of their scam. On moving day, Alla Awad arrived at our home with a crew of random individuals (not professional movers). The contract they had us sign was incomplete and marked only with an "A" in a circle instead of a proper signature. What should have been finished by 3:30pm dragged on until 8:30pm, which we later understood is intentional--to wear families down physically and emotionally. Once our belongings were on the truck, they demanded an additional $3,700--cash preferred. We refused and insisted on paying by card, which turned out to be the smartest choice we made. Because of this, we were later able to successfully dispute the charge with our credit card company. Do not pay them in cash. Without our consent, our items were taken to New Jersey. Attempts to hire a "rescue company" failed because even they warned us of the danger in dealing with this group. Ragae Awad, who runs United Speed Movers, refused to release our items. We now know that many families' belongings are either held hostage until more money is paid, arrive late and damaged, or are sold off altogether. Sadly, many of our most personal and irreplaceable items were lost forever. Ragae and his family live in luxury while funding their lifestyle by scamming and devastating others. Law enforcement has been of little help. Based on our experience, the best recourse is: *File disputes with your credit card company if you paid by card. *File formal complaints with federal agencies. *Record every conversation with them since they avoid putting anything in writing. This family came into our home, saw our children--including the fact that I was pregnant--and still chose to exploit us. We even gave Alla Awad a gift for his son, completely unaware that he was in the process of robbing us. We grieve the items that cannot be replaced, but we are moving forward and rebuilding. If you are reading this before booking--please do not use 3 Brothers Moving, United Speed Movers, or any company tied to the Awad family. Awad family, we forgive the hurt you have caused our family. Deceptive Quoting and Inflated Costs I was initially quoted $8,230 by 3 Brothers Movers for my move. However, once my belongings were packed and loaded onto their truck, I was hit with an inflated total of $20,746, almost TRIPLE the original quote. M When I protested and requested that they leave my items behind, they refused, stating they can't take the items off the truck and left with my things anyway. I was forced to proceed under duress, fearing I might never see my belongings again. 2. Manipulative Payment Practices I attempted to pay with my American Express card, but they falsely claimed they don't accept AmEx, stating they only accept wire transfers, cash, or checks. When I explained that AmEx was my only form of payment, they suddenly "remembered" they could accept Visa and MasterCard. This manipulative and chaotic payment process left me feeling confused and powerless. 3. Mismanagement and Holding My Items Hostage On September 16, 2024, my belongings were taken from Virginia to New Jersey--a state I never authorized--before eventually being sent to Florida. I didn't even know my items had been routed to New Jersey until days later, and I was never informed or asked for permission. I filed complaints with several agencies, including the Better Business Bureau (BBB), on September 17, 2024. That same day, I also filed complaints with: * Florida Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) * Florida Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services (FDACS) * US Department of Transportation * State Attorney's Office Despite my efforts, 3 Brothers Movers ignored my complaints. The only communication I received was an email on September 18, 2024, stating they had discovered a discrepancy and would contact the carrier to resolve it. That "resolution" never happened, and my items weren't delivered until October 3, 2024--nearly three weeks late. Communication with United speed movers who said that there was a discrepancy and deducted $1800 from the balance leaving me to pay $18,646 still and inflated price. 4. Stolen, Missing, Damaged, and Destroyed Items When my belongings finally arrived, the condition of my items was appalling. Several items were stolen, missing, damaged, or destroyed due to their careless handling and poor packing practices. * Stolen Items: I filed a police report for stolen items, including those I had receipts for. * Damaged Items: Many of my belongings were broken or mishandled. * Destroyed Items: Products that I carefully packed melted during transit, leaking and seeping through the boxes. Oils tumbled over and soaked into other items, causing irreparable damage. * Missing Items: Some of my most valuable belongings were unaccounted for, and I was never provided with an explanation. As we went through the initial walk thru there were a number of issues, some things broken and somethings not put together. Pictures were taken and I was told that it would be resolved as a claim. I spoke to my family and also found out that some of the movers were drinking beer we had in the refrigerator. These people are unreal , our furniture was shipped "SUPPOSEDLY " 2 weeks ago, been getting the run around big time. One driver ( once we got hold of him) said he drove our things from Florida to Mississippi, handed the truck over to a guy named Sav, then he called us asking to be paid bc he was stuck in a motel waiting to be paid ! this company is the worst. I traveled from New York to Florida with no furniture only boxes. The original price was 2500. I wind up paying almost $5000. They broke a vintage crystal punch bowl that I've had for over 25 years and my aunt had for an additional 10 years before she passed and handed it down to me. They were giving me other peoples boxes, and I had to tell them twice that those items didn't belong to me. I am missing some beautiful vases from pier 1. I'm missing a step stool among other things. My boxes were smashed, and things were falling out the bottom, I've tried to reach people with no return phone call and only attitude & abruptness over the phone when I did reach someone. They put tape on my bookcases and it peeled off. Please save yourself aggravation and do not use these movers. I should've used piece of cake or college students. I would have gotten better results. I'm sure of it. When I find the box with my vintage broken punch bowl and I will upload that as well. Never again. Lesson well learned. read more

After reading other reviews regarding this company, seems we've all been screwed by them. It seems their mojo is to jack the price up as soon as they arrive. AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVE. Paid the extra $2200, on top of the quote we were told by the original moving company - that obviously sub contracted it out. Okay whatever. Delivery date is for May 7th. They picked the furniture up April 26th - leaving South Carolina and arriving in Texas May 7th. It's on every piece of document - delivery date May 7th. May 1st the calls begin. Wanting to know when someone will be there on May 3 or 4th to deliver. Our daughter had prior commitments & couldn't drive out until May 6th to be there for their arrival May 7th. They began to threaten multiple times about adding $350.00 per day until furniture is delivered. Or they were going to drive it back to us. By this time, I've researched the original mover and these movers. And now knew what to expect. Was not falling into that "I need my furniture delivered so sure I'll pay the extra to make sure it happens" hole. Told them, find bring it back. Called their bluff. Long story short, a few phone calls were exchanged between the dispatcher, driver, & my husband. The apartment manager was able to give them a key to deliver on May 6th - obviously they can't read a contract being that May 7th was delivery date. So now we wait to see how it all looks once our daughter arrives. Long story short - DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE AWFUL COMPANY! Lesson learned the hard way. We'll United picked up my furnishings, moved it to their storage warehouse unloaded it, then hired a woman with a truck to move my things to Fl. There were broken and missing items. Safe Ship claimed no responsibility, said call United. United said contact " moving claims.com " to claim lost and damaged items. They said it would take 3 - 6 months to respond to my claim. Again, once they get your stuff half loaded or loaded, they will increase the price again. My original quote was around $12,000. I ended up paying $27,000 to get my household goods. They also provided an insurance option that was complete crap. The broke my $2000 television and their "option #2", free insurance offered to reimburse me $60. Total scam. I recently used Complete Van lines to ship 10 boxes, 1 wardrobe box, a snowboard bag, golf clubs, and a dresser from NJ to Los Angeles. I just want to express how incredibly disappointed and frustrated I am with how the move went. When I initially called I said I needed my stuff delivered between June 13 and June 23 and that they could pick up my stuff as early as needed. We decided that they would have my boxes picked up May 24 to give adequate time. They sourced the job out to United Speed Movers. When they picked up my boxes they tried to charge me $100 for an elevator fee and long carry fee. The contract clearly stated no elevator fee so he conceded that but then still made me pay $100 for a long carry fee even though they parked directly in front of my building. I went back and forth with him but eventually gave up because I didn't want to anger the person taking my belongings. The week before my move I called Complete Van Lines to get an estimated delivery date and was told they would check on it and get back to me but that never happened. When I arrived in LA I called and again there was no estimated delivery date. I then called United Speed Movers directly and he said "oh, I didn't know you were ready for your delivery. I will get it on a truck by the end of the week." I called daily and there was still no progress. I was told they legally had 21 business days after the first expected delivery date to get me my belongings. Complete Van Lines and United Speed Movers eventually stopped answering my calls. I was finally informed that my belongings were on a truck leaving NJ the week of July 5. So my boxes had just been sitting in a warehouse in NJ from May 24 until July 5. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. My boxes were delivered on a Sunday night, which was one day before the 21st business day. I understand this satisfies the legal obligation but this is horrendous business. Then when my boxes finally arrived, a few of them were damaged and my wardrobe box was completely crushed. I could not be more fed up with the absolute lack of respect for my time and property, lack of communication, and attitude towards myself while I was trying to get my packages delivered. I wish I could give them negative stars. These movers took advantage of my friend. She moved to Florida with her sick elderly husband and their dog. United Speed Movers quoted one price and charged another (several thousands $$ more). They arrived almost a week late, she was staying in a hotel I repeat, with her sick elderly husband and dog while waiting for her belongings, very uncomfortable for her situation to say the least. When they finally arrived with her stuff, so many things were missing. From mirrors to coasters and in between. It makes me feel very uneasy and it saddens me to realize that people like this, work in an industry that works very close to people at a personal level. Their customers trust them with their belongings, and they trust that they will be delivered on time in their entirety. Their customers, like my friend, trust that they won't be taken advantage of. These guys are unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate. I witnessed this behavior myself. United Speed Movers preys on the vulnerable. When I called the broker at oakdale moving and storage to complain, Brittany Dial, the "customer service" manager, screamed at me over the phone, saying I signed the contract and I agreed with this. I had to call the cops to prevent them from taking off with my stuff on the truck. Cops told us there was nothing they could do about a "civil matter" but helped us to ensure these guys would come back with our stuff after we could come up with a way to meet their insane demands in cash. It was days of stress trying to pull together that kind of cash (over $13,000) on a weekend with banks closed in a new-to-us city.) That doesn't even include the $2285 dollar deposit I had already paid! Then during delivery, they literally dropped my couch while getting it off the truck and dragged it on its side across rocks and dirt and tore it to pieces.
