Overpriced and rude service; it's better to drive to Sonora for Lowe's or Angels Camp for Calaveras…read moreLumber. I needed two 1/2" PVC male adapters. The price tag was $1.59, over $1 more than at Home Depot or anywhere else, really. When I went to check out, it rang up as $9.99! I said, "That's an insane price; the tag said it's $1.59." This Flock of Seagulls ex-band member told me, "That's the price!" A simple price check would have resolved this without issue, but that was not in the cards, apparently. And anyone who knows building supplies would have known how insane that price was. Hire people who know hardware and building supplies. I had to track down a manager myself to get this resolved, which was embarrassing show of their customer service. For 10 months I've been paying their "mountain prices" for the convenience of them being local--no more. I'd rather take a 1.5-hour round trip than deal with rude service and inflated prices. TLDR; Go elsewhere.

After years of having our inside garage / laundry door with a large cutout for a doggy door in it…read morefrom previous owner, we finallyyy decided it was time to fix this for not only safety fire reason but our heating/cooling bill. Called Carson Door for a quote along with how long on turn around, they said approximately a week. We dropped off the door and as promised in week we received a phone call stating the door was ready to be picked up, gal was friendly on the phone let me know their hours - woo-hoo that easy and went to pick up the door the following day!! Now we have a new door that not only fits well, it no longer has a gapping hole in it so fire safety restored along with our heating & cooling bill will be much better!! Friendly customer service and appointment recommend as they are currently requesting it.

First question was not "may I help you" but rather "are you a contractor"? Do yourself a favor and find a door shop that gives good service to all as this company just wasted my time!

Great company! Great service! Great product!

The process with our vinyl floor through Nova was seamless. We were pleasantly surprised by…read moreoutstanding service from every person we met. It all started with Joe at Nova. He was very professional, knowledgeable and most of all patient. We started not knowing a thing about vinyl flooring. He helped us many times to get to a product that turned out beautiful. Nova also gave us the referral on the installer. We can't say enough about the crew that installed our flooring. They were incredibly hard workers, but paid great attention to detail. They did really well on the challenge of matching the height of the vinyl to the tile we were leaving in place. They were all friendly, while they worked very hard on a professional job. For a rather big project, it couldn't have gone better. Would recommend Nova and their associates without any hesitation

Our experience with Elizabeth Taylor at Nova has been excellent & exceptional. In building our home…read morewe have had interactions with many subs & suppliers - far and away the most responsive has been Elizabeth. Our designer chose way too many expensive tiles and Elizabeth found several 'price performers'. Some of them were better than the original. She knew we needed a couple slabs & kept her eye on inventory in Reno & Carson and called out of the blue to tell me she'd found a contender at a great price. When we have had to switch products her response has been, no problem. When I wanted to show the selections to the designer, she offered to pull all the samples and have them ready. The job isn't finished yet but I have no doubt we will continue to receive exceptional service from Elizabeth & Nova. We while heartedly commend them to you.

Meek's assisted by providing supplies and we can't wait for them to see the final product at the event. They were friendly, considerate, and kind; thank you Meek's for helping them earn the 2nd highest award a Girl Scout can earn. We have worked with Meeks and most all of the employees there for many years, multiple times, on various projects and they have always been extraordinarily helpful and friendly. We completely rebuilt our house after raising it up on stilts and building a second story underneath and Meek's was a big part of this project. They have also donated buckets to our Arrowhead 4H Club to be used as prizes at the Carson City fair (you can never have enough buckets when you work with animals). I don't feel he is interested in serving my very small construction company, And is only motivated to service his large buyers. There inventory is also very lacking. Meeks was always a lumber and hardware store with great inventory, And now is very lacking as far as hardware. They are not the only show in town anymore and should start acting like it!

This is the first of several reviews I'll be writing in regards to our recent remodel. I had heard…read morethat remodeling an entire house would be horrific; however, our experience was quite the opposite. We had been done- in by Tahoe's Winter, it was a lot, even for my husband who had lived there for 35 years. We decided to settle in the Carson Valley and immediately found a perfect home in Gardnerville. It had everything we wanted, though very outdated. It was important to us to give our business to our new community, so we found D&B Cabinets and a few doors down was Two Stone Slab and Tile. We were greeted warmly by Cynthia. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. Not only did she discuss the different flooring options, but she then continued to help us select granite and tile for our kitchen. She laid everything together so we could imagine how they would coordinate. ( Let me go on a little more about Cynthia... She is also a designer. She was instrumental in helping me with our furniture selection and layout on the new house. When I was confused on light fixtures, size ect-she guided me. She is simply amazing). And Janelle... She was there for us every step of the way. Whenever I had a question about anything...I could text or call and she immediately responded. She is also extremely knowledgeable about all of their materials, in fact, our favorite purchase in this process was due to her expertise. We were interested in having a butcher block island. They had a new product, and we went all in. Our island was custom made to our exact measurements in Kentucky and shipped to Gardnerville. It took about two months, and Janelle always kept us in the loop on it's progress. We absolutely love out Island. Just beautiful! Do not hesitate to utilize Two Stone for your flooring, tile and granite needs. Their service, knowledge and materials are impeccable, and I can almost guarantee you'll have a positive. experience.

I started the process of replacing or repairing the hydraulic pump on my skip loader in July 2017…read more I was told they could get a replacement pump initially but might have to replace hoses and hard lines to match it. After going around and around for a few weeks the reality was that was not a viable option. Ended up ordering the parts to repair the pump on August 1 2017 but the wait would be another 12 weeks. I contacted them 12 weeks later and was told to hold off that it takes time. I contacted them numerous times in the following weeks by phone and in person. They then contacted the supplier to find out that there would be another month wait. When they did arrive, one of the parts ordered was incorrect and had to be reordered. Another part was also incorrect but the correct part was unavailable. Now well into December 2017 I finally received most of the correct parts. Hydraulic Industrial Services said they had a solution and could produce a sleeve that would couple the incorrect parts to the pump and solve the dilemma. I then brought them the pump and all the parts so they could accomplish the task. Mid July 2018 after numerous visits and promises that the job would completed with zero results I picked up my incomplete pump and left. This was a monumental waste of time and money. They told me they had the knowledge and capacity to do this work but never followed through. I feel it must be a lack of knowledge or disregard for customers or both.
