My Girl Scout Troop is working on earning their Silver Award and part of their project requires them to build a podium. Meek's assisted by providing supplies and we can't wait for them to see the final product at the event. They were friendly, considerate, and kind; thank you Meek's for helping them earn the 2nd highest award a Girl Scout can earn. We have worked with Meeks and most all of the employees there for many years, multiple times, on various projects and they have always been extraordinarily helpful and friendly. We completely rebuilt our house after raising it up on stilts and building a second story underneath and Meek's was a big part of this project. They have also donated buckets to our Arrowhead 4H Club to be used as prizes at the Carson City fair (you can never have enough buckets when you work with animals). Thank you for all your help throughout the years!

I asked the yard Forman today if they had 2x4 and 2x6 Doug fir in stock and his response to me was he did not have a running inventory in his head...He was standing in front of the computer! I Have had terrible luck with my outside salesman not returning quotes and lack of professionalism. I don't feel he is interested in serving my very small construction company, And is only motivated to service his large buyers. There inventory is also very lacking. Meeks was always a lumber and hardware store with great inventory, And now is very lacking as far as hardware. They are not the only show in town anymore and should start acting like it!

I started the process of replacing or repairing the hydraulic pump on my skip loader in July 2017…read more I was told they could get a replacement pump initially but might have to replace hoses and hard lines to match it. After going around and around for a few weeks the reality was that was not a viable option. Ended up ordering the parts to repair the pump on August 1 2017 but the wait would be another 12 weeks. I contacted them 12 weeks later and was told to hold off that it takes time. I contacted them numerous times in the following weeks by phone and in person. They then contacted the supplier to find out that there would be another month wait. When they did arrive, one of the parts ordered was incorrect and had to be reordered. Another part was also incorrect but the correct part was unavailable. Now well into December 2017 I finally received most of the correct parts. Hydraulic Industrial Services said they had a solution and could produce a sleeve that would couple the incorrect parts to the pump and solve the dilemma. I then brought them the pump and all the parts so they could accomplish the task. Mid July 2018 after numerous visits and promises that the job would completed with zero results I picked up my incomplete pump and left. This was a monumental waste of time and money. They told me they had the knowledge and capacity to do this work but never followed through. I feel it must be a lack of knowledge or disregard for customers or both.

We knew what we wanted and had a few questions, which she easily answered. Once we told her we wanted to buy it she went straight to the back and got it for us along with the proper electrical plug we needed. She brought it out front to our truck and had a young man meet her out there to load it in the bed of the truck. So very easy. We brought it home and unpacked it from the box and it was in perfect condition and is running as I post this review. 3 stars for plumbing and electrical. We had a propane dryer prior to this but chose to put in electric. We had to do some work to the electrical box and wiring so we needed some conduit and supplies. It was difficult to find someone who knew about those departments. It took us twice as long to find what we needed than to buy a large appliance and get it loaded. 1 star for check out.
