We drove to this Lowe's from Bridgeport, CA for a basic new dryer. 5 stars for the appliance department. Cassie was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. We knew what we wanted and had a few questions, which she easily answered. Once we told her we wanted to buy it she went straight to the back and got it for us along with the proper electrical plug we needed. She brought it out front to our truck and had a young man meet her out there to load it in the bed of the truck. So very easy. We brought it home and unpacked it from the box and it was in perfect condition and is running as I post this review. 3 stars for plumbing and electrical. We had a propane dryer prior to this but chose to put in electric. We had to do some work to the electrical box and wiring so we needed some conduit and supplies. It was difficult to find someone who knew about those departments. It took us twice as long to find what we needed than to buy a large appliance and get it loaded. 1 star for check out. It is ridiculous that we have to work at checking ourselves out and giving Lowe's are hard earned money while someone gets paid to stand their and watch us work. Not a fan. read more

I purchased a gas stove from Lowe's (Carson City store #1024), which was delivered and fulfilled by the Reno Store (#0321) and endured 4 failed delivery/install attempts before it was finally hooked up--unsafely. The installer left me with TWO gas leaks, one from the stove itself and another at the hookup, slowly leaking gas into my home for 6 days. My family, including children and grandchildren, spent time in my home during this period and experienced headaches from the exposure. Southwest Gas responded immediately and confirmed the shoddy installation, but Lowe's customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. Even after multiple escalations, I was told refunds/exchanges would only happen on their timeline, leaving me without a working stove or oven. This was a dangerous, exhausting, and unacceptable experience. I will never shop at Lowe's again, and I strongly warn others to avoid them. We purchased 4 major kitchen appliances with Lowe's in Carson City, Nevada. we were advised that they will do a price match so we had a print out from Home Depot showing a lower price. We went into the store and spoke to supervisor Tiffany in the appliance department at the Carson City Nevada location. She advised us it would take her 24 hours to process the adjustment on the account and she would email us a receipt two days later we still had no receipt or confirmation so we called Lowe's in Carson City Nevada and left three messages for Tiffany. Every time we called she was either on lunch in a meeting or not available and we had asked for her to return our call to see where we were going with the adjustment. we never received a phone call back from Tiffany so we have canceled our order with Lowe's. we will no longer do any business with this company. and we purchase all of our appliances from Home Depot at a lower price. this has to be one of the worst customer service issues I've ever dealt with supervisor saying they would do something and not even return our phone calls. if I could give them zero stars I would read more

I went to purchase a garbage disposal. There wasn't really any blown around to help me looked up and down the aisles no employees. Then when I went to the self checkout because I didn't see a cashier. I went to the cash side of the self checkout. And it asked me five maybe six questions before I could even pay for my product. Then when I went to pay it wouldn't take my $100 bill because it wasn't the brand new $100 bill. I hate that ad when they ask if you want to round it up to the next dollar or donate to this charity or that. Or if you want to warranty. Garbage delivery department. There is no communication, and the communication they do provide is often incorrect or misleading. The delivery supervisor is possibly the least help person at Lowes. Their whole department does not accept the fact that their department is ran inefficiently and places the blame for their incompetence on the customer. I had to cancel my order and pick up the order due to their lack of organization and general incompetence. so, if you're in a pinch, go to home depot. they're not much better, but at least their deliveries show up when promised. read more

About 5 years ago a cashier named Wadine and I locked horns. It wasn't very professional and it wasn't very pretty. I boycotted the place for a year (The absolute wrong thing to do). A year later, my BIL and cousin purchased materials to remodel a home I bought. Sadly, just before completion, they were killed in an accident and the wife and I just shut down and never completely finished the job. Fast forward to this week. We're moving far away and have to empty everything out of the house, including the unopened, four-year-old building supplies. We made four separate trips to this Lowes to return it all and received store credit for every penny that was spent. Wadine was working and we had a terrific conversation. There is a reason this store has really POOR reviews. I ordered a clothes washing machine online. It was supposed to be delivered two days later. Then, the DAY it was supposed to be delivered they sent a text that effectively said "Whoops. We don't have that washing machine (even though they had confirmed delivery with me three times)" They said the real delivery would be 10 days later. SO, I cancelled that order, called a local store and asked what they had in stock so that they could deliver quickly. Faud, the appliance guy seemed helpful on the phone and I re-ordered a new machine. (They are supposed to issue a credit on the previous machine (still waiting)) Then, when it came to delivery they gave me three different delivery times. When it was delivered it was delivered WITHOUT the plastic pan that is supposed to go under the clothes washer. Apparently that will now be delivered seperately. How am I supposed to lift a big washing maching all by myself and put the pan underneath? I tried to call the store... it rings and rings and rings. The Delivery guy, a third party... says this happens all of the time. Be careful of ordering from here. Perhaps go with a local company. RC Willey? They might have better customer service. read more

Strongly DO NOT recommend Lowe's for flooring purchase and install. Ordered LVP for the house $3350 - installed price, May 30, 2024. After many calls (and visits) to Lowe's store, the Lowe's Install # and Keller Interiors (install company) -- still no flooring, not one person is taking responsibility. Flooring is in stock at the store. Quite perplexing. They charged the entire amount on the Lowes charge card - even though it was 12 free financing. Requested a cancellation of the entire order and then they credited the Lowes card - as if we are going to buy anything from them. Definitely do not recommend this store for seniors and veterans. Was there today looking at a chain for my friend and myself chking on flooring. We walked around trying to find somebody it seems like everybody was too busy putting up stupid Halloween decorations in August instead of helping customers, we finally found some not so interesting guy and a coworker not so interesting either and ask him if they could help us and they said they were too busy they could find somebody but guess what they never did. So we struggled to get anybody to help us, especially in the Flooring department, and Lady finally came and said the person was on lunch and she would try to help us. She was nice and helped us as we were checking out the creepy guy in the creepy girl who works there. We're just walking around laughing and looking at their cell phones obviously not caring about customers. I also noticed that most of the young ones in there were on their phones laughing with people, etc. etc.. I told the girl at the self check out. She was very nice and said she was sorry. we are like thank you. You're very nice but the people working here really suck. I don't care if I ever go back to your store. I'm sure there wasn't even a manager around watching a younger crowd, ignoring customers and talking on their phones. Younger generation stink at Customer Service. And then, once I got used it to, I knew where everything was, so it was easier. But in the past year or so, I've gone to Lowe's if I can't find what I am looking for at Home Depot. And I was pleasantly surprised. First - every time I go in there, someone offers to help. EVERY TIME. And usually, more than one person. And, they are truly helpful. This has not been the case at the Orange store... Second, their self-checkout is easy and there is always someone there to help. Finally, I LOVE their lighting department. I traveled to Nevada to purchase a gas powered riding lawn mower and purchased a craftsman R110 rider. I brought it home with no instruction manual or schematics provided. The next morning (Saturday) went out and started the mower. I put in gear but there was no movement and after pulling off the back panel found it was missing a spring for the belt idler. I called Lowe's customer service and they told me to contact the manufacture after sitting on the phone for what seemed a long time. I paid $1800 for this piece of equipment and was very disappointed in the service. Oh and then the steering wheel quit working, the bolt holding it on was not tighten and it came apart but that was a n easy fix. I like the little mower, looked up the part on the craftsman's web site but found it cheaper on Amazon. If you buy one of these or any other piece of equipment from this out fit be sure to drive it before you leave because they will not help you afterwards! I will also say taking it back to Carson City wasn't an option for me as it's an all day venture. I will be very hesitant to purchase anything else from them in the future. read more

I went into the Lowe's 5075 KIETZKE LANE Reno NV, 89511 to schedule an appointment for a bid to install new windows at my cabin in Tahoe Vista. The appointment was scheduled approximately two weeks out at my request. I received a few appointment reminders of the scheduled appointment. The day before the appointment, I drove from Sacramento to Tahoe Vista for the appointment. On the day and time of the appointment, no one showed up so I called the Customer Care number for assistance. I was routed to someone at the store who told me the person had been dispatched and should have been there by now. She said she'd call him. She also provided me with the estimator's phone number so I texted directly to ask him when he'd be there. The text response was that Lowe's doesn't service my area. The estimator said he was told someone notified me the day before the appointment. This didn't happen and frankly not sure it would have helped since I drove 120 miles just for this appointment the day before because the scheduled appointment was at 9 AM. The text went on to state that "Unfortunately, I hate to say this, but it happens all the time and I complain about it often because I'm the one that lets people down." I called the Customer Care number to file a complaint with the corporate office. I was told that the complaint would be forwarded but no one would be calling me back. If you have a known problem, why wouldn't you fix it unless you have zero regard for your customer's time. Later that day I received a call from the store manager at the Carson City location. I spent more time explaining my situation. He told me I called the wrong store and he couldn't help. He told me I needed to call the store where I created the appointment. I told him I didn't call his store, he called me. Totally screwed up system, complete disrespect for your customer's time, and the corporate office hides behind the staff answering the phone on the Customer Care line. Ordered a washer from Lowe's and was supposed to be delivered the next day. We ordered specifically from them because they assured us it could be delivered next day. Next day comes and we were told 3-7. Got a text at 230 that it was on the way. 7pm comes around and nothing. We call Lowe's they don't know so they call the delivery service and apparently the truck broke down and they don't know where it's at. They said it would be rescheduled for today which we called this morning to confirm. Well it's 3 we call to make sure they are coming and glad we did because guess what they still don't know where the truck is. We offered to come just pick up one from the store but because it's with a 3rd party delivery service. They can't do that we have to pay for a new one and wait for a refund when THEIR delivery service lost our order. This is bullshit. I ordered carpeting from Lowe's that Keller Interiors of Reno, NV was to install, first two bedrooms went well, the master bedroom carpet had 4 holes in it from a forklift, that was on May 22, Lowe's had to reorder new carpet, from that point everything went wrong, still no carpet and I was told carpet was delivered on May 29th, still no resolution as to when installation is. So, If you read any bad reviews, keep in mind nothing and no one could do right during covid challenges 2019-2021.. In Feb 2021 a young man helped me put to gether a large order of applances. By the time I was ready to order personal SH*T hit the fan and I was only able to order 1 dishwasher. Misty from carson City Lowes in the applance department quickly put together my order on my Lowe's business account even though I didnt have my lowes card with me. "Long story short", when I went to pay off my Lowe's account balance, although everyone tried their best, none of the costomer service was able to find my acct. Together Misty and the front desk was able to figure it out. Thanks Misty!! however, they were unable to figure out how I could pay that day's charge for the dishwasher that had not hit my account balance in their system. I went to my car to call Lowe's costomer service to find a mailing address to sent snail mail payment. I thought by the time the check got to them, it would have reigstered in my account. A tall man at costomer service actually called me and told me, he figured it how to pay for the dishwasher after I left. I was still sitting in my car in the Lowes parking lot. DO NOT USE LOWE'S!!!!! If there were negative stars available I would give as many as I could!! Today is October 4th. On July 15 I ordered replacement skylight blinds. All of our window blinds were originally from Lowe's and have been great. It is now October 4 and my last communication from them is that the person should be back on October 11. First Lowe's ordered the wrong type of shade--regular shades instead of skylight. Then it took forever for those wrong shades to arrive. Then one of them was installed before the installer realized it wasn't a skylight shade, so I ended up on an extension ladder nailing it shut after he left because it wouldn't stay closed. Then the "correct" shades were ordered. Three weeks later they arrived but no one told the installer (Rayline, which Lowe's contracts installations to) that they were there. Then the installer had a flat tire. Then the rescheduled installer didn't show up--on that occasion I was lied to all afternoon that he would eventually appear, but no such luck. Then they sent a very nice guy who had never installed this type of blind before. He got it up after about 2 hours but didn't even want to try to install the other one. Now another person is supposed to appear on OCTOBER 11TH, BETWEEN 9 AND 1. In addition, when the blind is closed (which is an adventure since it is so tight that the handle has already broken off) light leaks in on both sides, directly in the sight line of our bed. I talked to a representative at Springs Window Fashions, who makes Bali blinds, and was told that no, this is not normal, just so that I I would have backup on the fact that apparently they were measured wrong to start with. This began on JULY 15th!!!!!! These things have been paid for!! I will never, in this or any other lifetime, order anything from Lowe's again. It is so disappointing because our initial experience with the window coverings was so good. What a ridiculous mess and waste of a ridiculous amount of time!!!!! read more

I went in to pick up a water heater that I ordered online and about $50 worth of plumbing supplies. After waiting in line for 5 minutes I asked the man working the return register (Carlos) if he could help me. He said no. After another five minute wait in the pick up line the pick up lady said to Carlos he should help me which he did. Very reluctantly he asked for the order number since he could not scan my bar code. Once accomplished I wanted to pay for the other plumbing part and was told to go to the other register. I left the parts and took the water heater which was in a duct taped box. This is a huge a shout out to Nicole in customer service and Rudy in paint!!! We are renovating our first home (in South Lake Tahoe) and have made several trips down to Lowe's for our supplies. With owning a home for our first time we have lots of questions and have made many mistakes in our renovations! Nicole in customer service was outstanding when we messed up an online order that we submitted. I haven't seen that kind of patience in a long time when it comes to customer service anywhere. Truly kind and helpful. Then we biffed on our paint choices and came to Rudy for her help. She helped us with a new tint to see if we liked that, then she helped us with picking a new color that was perfect for our taste. She also gave us tons of great advice on how to paint textured walls vs cabinets vs fireplaces. I know there's a lot of 1 or 2 star reviews of Lowe's in Carson. I truly believe most of the staff are caring and knowledgeable but the amount of people they deal with must be overwhelming. If you are kind and patient with them and understand how busy they are ~ your interaction will go well. I traveled approx. 75 miles today to get to Lowe's, my intention was to purchase a garage storage cabinet. Once we located them in Aisle 30 there was many to choose from. We were initially greeted by an employee and he did assist with helping get the doors open on one of the display models so I could look inside at the shelving. he offered to assist if I decided to purchase and told me he wouldn't be far away, and he went on his way. after looking over the selection for several minutes I decided to purchase one. I then went on the hunt to find someone to help get the one I wanted to purchase and I was unable to find anyone, so I returned to the cabinets where my wife was waiting for me, she then went in search of someone to help and was able to find three different people who advised they would find someone to help. we did hear an announcement for customer assistance to the storage cabinets. After approx 10 minutes of waiting for someone to show up we decided to leave without making the purchase. this is the first time that I had this experience at this particular Lowes, I also had the same experience at Lowe's in Fernley Nevada about 2 years prior with a different product that required assistance. I am just a small fish in a big pond and the money I was going to spend will not be missed at Lowe's, but you must believe this small fish has a big mouth and I encounter 75-80 people everyday and will be sure to tell this story to anyone that will listen.
