Dependable Used Cars - 2015 gmc Yukon xl

I bought a 2015 GMC Yukon XL…read more The salesman was very helpful and kind during our interaction with him. Now first glance, the vehicle looked in good condition. We took it for a test drive. It drove fine. There was no signs of any issues so we signed the papers and purchased it.. a couple weeks later if you problems arose, and the concern for safety was in question. I went back to the dealership spoke with the manager and expressed my concerns, and she immediately had me bring the vehicle in the next day for repairs. She told me that they have been through a few mechanics since the vehicle had its safety inspection done and apologized and didn't want me to think that they sold non-dependable vehicles and they want to back up their companies name so at no cost to me all the safety concerns I had were repaired.

Do yourself a favor and buy a car LITERALLY anywhere else. I purchased a Ford F-150 here in 2023…read more The truck was immaculate inside and only minor defects at surface level on the exterior. Lee is who we dealt with. He came across friendly at first but that quickly changed. It seemed all he was interested in was us leaving a 5-star review. He mentioned it many, many times. We purchased the truck and drove it off the lot. The next day, I stop and fill up the tank before heading to work. After filling up, I was smelling gasoline in the cab. When I got to work I called Midas to see if they would look at it later in the day. I was suspecting a possible leak in the fuel line. I was NOT expecting what they found. They called me with an almost $4000 repair bill. There was a hole drilled in the gas tank, the back half of the exhaust system was removed.....AND THERE WERE NO BRAKES ON THE TRUCK! I immediately called Lee and requested the truck be taken back and everything repaired/replaced. Lee gave some excuse about the lead mechanic being away and that's why things were overlooked. If any mechanic overlooks the fact that breaks and an exhaust system are missing....are they really a mechanic? When I initially purchased the truck, the fog lights were missing and Lee had refused to fix them. With everything else that was just found on the truck, I told him the fog lights were also getting replaced or I wasn't keeping the truck. He begrudgingly accommodated. I picked the truck up a few weeks later. The fog lights were installed but they stopped working a few days later. I took the truck back in, and a mechanic took a look at them and electrical taped some wires together. They worked again for another few days and then stopped. I took it to another shop that said the wires were all loose and the lights weren't even bolted in. Fast forward 2 years. I'm having some engine issues and am trying to locate the extended warranty I purchased. I called and got Lee on the phone. The first time he answered the phone and then hung up before I even said anything. I called back and he couldn't have sounded more uninterested. He said he'd take my name and number and call me back. Obviously he never did. Thankfully, I was able to locate the warranty paperwork in the meantime. After the engine was replaced a month or so ago, I realized I was smelling gas again after filling up. I take a look near the tank only to find that the gas tank that had been "replaced" because of the hole that was drilled into it hadn't actually been replaced. All they did was patch it and it's now leaking again. I reached out several times trying to get in contact with the manager. Tim finally got back to me one day, said he'd look into it but that he wasn't the manager when this took place. He never called back. If you love supporting scumbag used car lots then this is the place to go. With all of the options out there, I'd highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Lee, Tim, and the others at Dependable Used Cars are clearly only interested in taking your money and not in providing quality work.

My husband has been searching for 2 years for a particular truck with particular options.. we were…read moreat the point of looking out of state. A few months ago we came upon THE truck here at frontier. We live about 4 hours away so asked a friend to drive it. He went over and drove it and really didnt have anything bad to say and the staff were easy to deal with. Fast forward 3 months and endless searching high and low.... My husband asked me to go check out the truck when I went to do errands in Anchorage. So pressed for time I swung in and asked for particulars on the truck and unceremoniously climbed under it an did my inspection:-) then up top I went looking at everything my eyes could see... hmmmmmmmmmmm I will tell we have 3 other trucks like it so I had a good idea what I was looking at/for. I personally wasnt stoked about buying another truck but whatever..I knew it was the truck for my honey . Steve was awsome to talk to. He let me look at it without demeaning me or talking to me like I was a dumb girl. Which I have found many other salesmen do. So I appreciated how Steve respected my knowledge and answered my questions. Now I left in a hurry after driving the truck I had so many things to do... My husband, based on what I had to say about the truck and the way I was treated and the air of honesty I felt while talking with Steve and Thomas, decided to buy the truck... You should know the truck was a older model that banks dont typically finance. Thomas handled the loan app and got it sent to the right bank for us. OMG the communication! Thomas stayed on top of the app and it went through and in short.. I am thrilled. These guys were awsom from start to finish. I love the bank they sent us to(I never even hear of it) so Tom and Steve's knowledge there was invaluable. My husband has his dream truck. Thank you guys, our 2 year search is finally over!!!!!!!!!

Brought it in for service -- was told the window leak couldn't be found. However, found a heavy silicone patch applied on that window alone. Liars! The trailer came back with new damage on the interior panels -- screws and staple marks that weren't there before. No acknowledgment, no accountability. Months of emails followed. The owner, Vik, eventually responded in writing that everything is the manufacturer's responsibility and directed me to Keystone. Keystone then confirmed they have zero warranty claim history for my unit -- meaning the repairs performed here were apparently never filed with the manufacturer at all. I gave this dealership every opportunity to make this right. What I got was delay, deflection, and silence. If you're buying here, just know: the experience ends the moment you drive off the lot.
