For those who bought a decent vehicle here, you got lucky. These slimy creatures are the epitome of "used car salesman" and will sell you junk that's rubber stamped as fine by whatever slimy shop they use. Then they will happily sell it to you for more than double what it's worth. When informed, they said they'd confirm my findings and "go from there" to rectify the situation. Of course, I've heard nothing from them and been blown off. Buy NOTHING here unless you get an inspection done first.

I own a 2012 VW Passat that has been in storage for the last four years while I've been overseas, and on 9 June 2025 I went to pick it up from storage. Needless to say, 4 years in storage takes a toll and it was running rough, accompanied by a few lights on the dash. I limped it to Swickard VW hoping they could check it out sometime in June or early July (I don't need the car for the next month). This was my first time to this dealer, having generally excellent experiences at my previous VW dealers. I made my way to the line for the service department and eventually talked to the blonde lady who was servicewriter at the time. Her greeting was less than pleasant and I immediately perceived that my presence was inconveniencing. I attempted to explain my situation as briefly as possible. She was adamant that they were very busy, and her techs were booked out until early July for big jobs like mine. I said that I understood and that I am willing to wait, explaining my flexibility for this car repair. Eventually, she accepted my business, mentioning that they may be able to get around to it sometime in the coming weeks and directed (more like ordered) me to pull my car around into the shop. Not wanting to inconvenience anyone else in the shop (especially if my car died), I asked for a specific location where I should leave the car. One question too many I suppose, because I received a sarcastic explanation of where to leave it in response. Oof. I left and headed to the car with the intent of pulling it into the shop, and then came to my senses. I decided that I didn't want to interact with her anymore today or in the future, so I found an import garage a mile north that had a slot on Friday for me. My interaction with their service department was much more respectful. I wouldn't recommend giving the Swickard VW service department your business.

The sale included lifetime oil changes. I needed my first and tried for over a week to get an appointment; no one answers that number and no call back was EVER received. I had to go in to make an appointment. I show up for that appointment-several days later, and am told that it will take up to 2 hrs. I waited...for 3 hours. For an oil change, that I had made an appointment for. That is poor service. My wife takes her Subaru to the dealer for the same type of service and is almost always home within an hour. Also, they have been pleasant and respectful- not so with the Lithia agent. Of course, they've already got my money and thus have no motivation to provide a quality service. If I go somewhere else, that will only cost me more money. It's disrespectful to their customers and I do not appreciate it. But the truck, it's nice.

I handed them a complex purchase: sight unseen except for photos, a short video and Carfax report and a complicated finance with one party in Alaska and co-signer out of State. Dave was fantastic taking extra time to walk the car carefully to verify condition and worked with the business team to simply nail the financing. Without hesitation Dave made arrangements to pick my kids up from the airport when they flew in from Fairbanks to pick up the car, and the vehicle was as spotless and impeccable as it looked in the pictures...a tough task often with used vehicles.
