First of all , the place is super clean , bright , airy , and just had a nice vibe . My nail tech was LIN. Very nice guy , attentive , took his time and did an A-MAZING job on my nails . I get SNS powder every two weeks and this will be my new go to . It's also in the heart of Great Neck . Close to all the cute eateries and smoothie spots in case you want a treat before or after your nail appt! Definitely a plus in my book. I come here almost every month. They do a great job with shape and dipping powder. Most places make the gel for dipping powder very thick but here they do a good job making it look more natural. Designs they usually to a good job but they were sometimes expensive. Sometimes I get charged $5 per finger for design when designs are not that difficult. However, out of all nail salons I've been to in Queens, they have done the best job. I always come out loving my nails and I'm usually very picky about who does my nails. I called this salon after recieving bad service from a neighbor salon. I was in after 5 minutes. When they say 5 minutes they actually mean 5 minutes. Not those bogus places that tell you 5 minutes and make you wait an hour. This place is the REAL DEAL!! From the moment I walked in, I was acknowledged with a friendly welcome. This place is clean, friendly, accommodating and prices are so amazing! Definitely my new go to salon. I had to sign up for their membership card because they are that awesome! I made an appointment for 1PM on Sunday with Joanna, based on previous Yelp reviews. Upon walking in, the salon is clean, spacious, modern & well-kept. She took me a bit earlier than 1PM, as she was done with her previous customer. They have a wide selection of gel colors, displayed in 4-5 different books. I came specifically for a design, as it seems like that's what they're specialized in. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She filed and shaped my nails perfectly, paying close attention to detail and making sure I was content after each step. Everything was in a sterilized bag prior to opening, which I really appreciate. I'll admit, their prices are a bit higher than other salons I've been to. I paid $75 for a UV gel manicure with design. But you're definitely paying for the cleanliness and detail! They also have a points card which can get you different things based on the number of points (paraffin, free manicure, etc). I definitely would advise calling prior to make an appointment, cause they were turning people away without appointments! read more

Came back again for a follow up to my manicure, stepped up to a color gel manicure. Very happy with my services and had Joanna as the tech. She was very nice, didn't rush and did a great job. However, the place is covered in nail dust. It's really unsettling. I mentioned it in my last review but it's like they haven't cleaned in weeks or since I was there last. I had intended to mention this to the tech, but I forgot, as I sat in the chair, I looked down at the floor beneath me and I'm stepping on a FULL SET OF TIPS scattered all over the floor. I was crushing some of them without even realizing. I started to look around and noticed the front desk reception is filthy. Dust and fingerprints everywhere. By the time I was finished my phone that I hadn't touched the entire time is covered in nail dust. I hate to say it, but it makes me not want to return. Cleanliness in a nail salon is EXTREMELY important. I am in no way a germaphobe or even OCD. But a place like this deserves to be clean considering the services rendered. I really hope they take it into consideration for their customers in the future. Even just a simple wipe down once a day, even in the middle of the day can't be that hard. read more

I have been trying many salons and my nails looked like like they had been in a war. The edges were a mess and the powder from the previous salon was crack on almost every nail. I made an appointment for 5:30 for both myself and my sister. They took her right away I waited about 20 mins. But I did make the appoint the same day and later on in the day. The staff is very friendly and I felt like they really cared about doing a good job. I Nicole she did a fabulous job, I literally had horrible nails to work with. She asked how I like my shape and I told her more square. She filed one and asked me if I liked it. I was very happy. When she was done she asked me if I liked my nails. That shows that they care. My sister had May who was also very nice and my sisters nails looked fabulous. The whole staff was so kind. I am definitely a happy customer and my search for a nail salon is over. I am attaching a photo I wish I had the before photo. One more thing I must say. I felt their pricing is very fair and they were very honest about their pricing I was going to do a design but it was late so another time, but they were upfront about everything. Great place if you're looking for somewhere convenient to get a gel mani (it's right next to the great neck LIRR station stop)! Wait was longer than I expected (about 15-20 min), since I had also made a reservation, but nevertheless the nails turned out great. The man working on my nails did a fantastic job! The technician who did my nail was very sweet and professional. She spoke well English and communication was great. I went to Aruba for a week after getting my nails done and not even one stone fell. The result is fantastic and is much better than the salons I went in Nassau. I'm into organic gel nails now otherwise will definitely return. Only complaint I had but wasn't big deal for me were below: I asked design for my nails and the technician wasn't very creative. Instead, she asked a photo of what I wanted and copied exactly from the photo. She did a great job though. I've been coming to this nail salon since I moved out to GN. I spent a few months without going due to my busy schedule, but was so happy to return. I was running over 20 mins late and they were so nice to accommodate me regardless. I wasn't sure who did my nails, but she was new. I tend to be very picky about my nails, and I managed to let her do her thing. It was towards the end when she close to putting the final polish, I noticed so many things I thought she was going to correct. She had added over 4 coats of SNS powder and was going to leave it thick. I told her I didn't want my nails to be this thick, and I was told she couldn't file it down anymore. I said uhh ok. I asked if she can apply color on the tip of my nails and gloss. At this point, I was annoyed because she repeated to tell me that no she cannot do that. Johanna noticed I was annoyed and came over, I explained to her the issue and then the nail artist went on to do what I asked. When it comes time to pay, I leave her tip despite the service I had. No thank you or anything. I'm so glad I didn't pay full price and I had a gift card. I'm not sure if the service was rushed because I was late, but if that was the case I would've rather them explain that to me then let me leave with these nails. read more

First off, I can tell they really care about their artistry and the attention to detail is unmatched. I have really wonky nails that grow sideways and I normally hate the way salons shape my nails but they were really attentive of my nails and the shape- talk about personalized service! I didn't get the name of my nail technician but he worked really fast and I can tell he's really a perfectionist. The salon is super clean and spacious and the nail technicians are all really nice! The first time, my nails were really damaged from getting acrylics at another salon and they were able to remove them and recommend different options for me as I didn't want to damage my nails any further. Of course I went back to get my nails summer ready and they came out amazing! I showed my technician a picture of the marble design I wanted and she was able to do it just like the picture. She was super gentle when prepping my nails unlike some other places where I often get cuts and bleed since I have really sensitive skin. Overall, all the techs here really care about what you want for your nails and will check in with you to see if you're happy with the process. I would recommend this salon to everyone! However, I'm taking off a star because they didn't cover the side well with the gel on both hands.
