So I just left unique cuts on Hilltop about 10 minutes ago usually Sunday (the girl) that works there she does a phenomenal job on my hair on a regular hard part with the with the hard line in it. I don't know the lady's name that just cut my hair but she was the older lady with the darker hair maybe a little bit Asian she was terrible she was horrible to my head very violent rush through the whole thing cutting corners was just a terrible experience. The lady who runs this place is doing it wrong.. Every time I've brought my son in for a haircut I watch as she tries to do fifty things at the same time. Hire some people! Sometimes it takes money to make money. She tries unsuccessfully to run the entire shop by herself jumping from one task to another frazzled. The last time she cut my sons hair she was so rushed that she was ruff with him and the cut did not look that great. The only reason my son wants to go there is for the fun chairs. Seriously so disappointed in the place. I went in to have a balayage done to my hair to lighten up for summer, mind you I have gone here for 5 years, I went home looked over did it the way I would on a day to day. I am in tears at this point this was not what I wanted I mean I can't even tell other then my hair is beyond damaged. I tried to get my money back and ( ANN ) the gal who owns it would not refund my money. I mean in my opinion when your customers are supposed to leave feeling beautiful and they are upset and in happy you do something. Now I get to spend probably double to have it done correct on top of the money lost. After 5 years I will not return to this business. read more

Conveniently located on Hilltop and a trip from the past! A haircut for men for under $15 or $20 is unheard of these days. I used to go to a haircut place I will not name (supercuts*cough), but this place is way better with friendly staff who are willing to cut and help style my hair. read more

I've been happy with my hair cut every time I have gone in (about 20 times). They are good at what they do. Service could be a little better, but other than that it is a good place to go to in Redding. Plus a hair cut for a guy is $12. Can't beat that. read more

One of the best fades I've ever had. See Anne she is very good. I don't live in redding and I'm sad because it it rare to have someone who doesn't leave a line and they don't charge crazy prices. I read some of the other reviews and would say all the girls were very pleasant. read more

This is where we take all the kids ages 18 months yo 13. The girls have stylish, but tricky short cuts and the boys both have perfect fades. Much better then any other place I've tried. I think I'll switch to here instead of my upscale salon. We've always seen Ann or Marcia. Love them. read more

My husband and son will only go to Unique Cuts! When my son was little, he wouldn't let anyone cut his hair; but the gals at Unique Cuts made him feel comfortable and were the first salon to get it done. They are friendly and do a great job, love their hours too! read more

Definitely not happy with the service! I had my hair dyed blond and the owner dyed my scalp and my hair fell out!! The lady in the chair next to me was getting her eyebrows waxed and the stylist waxed her entire eyebrow on accident. How is this place still open?! read more

Ok, so I know that this is a discount cut place, but it shouldn't be a miserable experience right? I sport a short haircut because of my active lifestyle and I was getting shaggy, so I visited Ann at Unique cuts. A walk in. She was cheerful...but painful! She cut my hair with clippers in a method just short of barbaric! Every cut she pulled my hair & when I commented that it hurt she told me.." I know right? I had a lady tell me if I pulled her hair again she was going to slap my face! Hahaha" She was only 1/2 done or I would have walked out!!! NEVER go here! HORRIBLE experience. My husband took our son here for a haircut. The lady was incredibly rude and unfriendly. For a place that cuts children's hair, I would think they would try to relate to a child's hair they are cutting. It was his first haircut and she didn't even ask him one question. Not his name, his age or if how are you? (He is 4 years old) She was extremely rushed with no one else in the place. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would give it a -20 if that was an option. read more

Used to love this place but the last couple times I went in, I felt like an inconvenience and was unhappy with my results. My stylist did the best she could despite being micromanaged so much and resulted in me not getting what I wanted due to my stylist being convinced she was doing a basic bleach wrong. read more

Wonderful place for a haircut! I wont take my son anywhere else. They have cute seats to put my 2 year old in and somehow get a cute cut done without tears, tantrums and before he realizes whats going on. The staff is very friendly and the wait time reasonable.
