By Family Practice, I mean he, and thereby his staff, are going to prioritize the urgent over the routine and the followups. I live an hour's drive away, although I didn't live as far away when I first started seeing Dr. Jack, so that ought to tell you what I think of him as a family physician. I believe the reason the wait times are sometimes long is that he really hears you out about whatever your current complaint is and he is well liked by his patients so he has a lot of them. If you're the one on the receiving end of a caring physician then you'll appreciate and plan for the possibility of a longer wait time on some visits. Of course, if you're in the waiting room awaiting your turn to have your medical concerns addressed it can be frustrating especially if you have other appointments. I don't schedule anything after my appointments for this reason and I don't schedule appointments on Mondays. And I bring something to read so I can ignore the staff and other patient conversations. I will say I do try to schedule routine and followup visits for the first one after the lunch break. I'd rather have the staff do the task of hurrying things along and not have my doctor cut me off and not listen to the full picture of what is going on with my body/health. BTW, I have never had any of the staff be rude or unprofessional towards me. When there is going to be a long wait time, I've been given an explanation and an opportunity to reschedule. What more could you ask of them? I will say, I almost didn't write this review because I didn't want to sign up for yelp in order to post a review. I wonder how many other's don't do it for the same reason!?!

With each appointment she has educated me on each step of the procedure. She explains preparation, the procedure, and after care. I like that she checks for understanding before moving on. I was a little afraid of a permanent tattoo; afraid of the pain and possible errors that would be permanent. She numbs the area and discusses the shape of the tattoo before beginning. Even then, she is more conservative in her approach. I appreciate that she starts smaller and if you would like it larger she adds.
