Craig is incredibly rude and he likes to gossip...I figure if he will talk about other customers while doing my hair then he probably talks about me as well....I am not convinced that he enjoys his work....he seems to be bothered and inconvenienced....this is a customer satisfaction business and while there are great reviews it doesn't mean that he is still not rude and dismissive. The environment is dark and non welcoming....the experience of getting your hair done should be more than just a good haircut, color and style. You should walk out of a salon feeling like you had a good experience....with Craig...well ....you leave feeling like he hates his job...that's sad because your work is where you spend the majority of your day so it should be enjoyable. Maybe Craig should retire and start enjoying his life. Just a thought! Will NOT be going back to that negativity! I do not recommend this salon. read more

The owner is extremely unpleasant and not at all professional. I had been going to see the nail tech Jamie, but she frequently rescheduled and the last appointment she never showed up. Another tech at the shop tried calling her I didn't reschedule with her and i continued with my hair appointments i had started with craig a couple months prior even while Jamie never acknowledged me after she stood me up.I continued for 2 appointments with Craig for haircuts and when I missed my appointment for the first and only time I offered to pay for the appointment but his very rude texts were far beyond anything a reputable buissness owner should do. At first He wouldn't answer my calls or texts of appology and my offer to pay for the missed appointment. Finally i told him i found another shop and thats when he began numerous rude texts. I had to ask him to stop and blocked him eventually. I was really very shocked at the childish and unprofessional attacks. But all is well because I found another nail tech and a talented salon both very good and professional! read more

I have been going to this salon for 7 years! I always love my hair and everyone is so nice and friendly. There are some negative posts from Lyrika and Grace - I was there the same time they were there. The hair stylist was very sweet to them. There is a sign on the door that says due to Covid you can't have other people with you waiting while you have your service. The teenage mom was wanting her black hair dyed blond and had her baby and her mom with her. She was not discriminated against. If she was going to be there for several hours even if it wasn't during Covid- it wasn't a proper place for a baby. The poor baby was tired and fussy. The grandmother should have taken the baby home while the mom had her hair done. The salon was more than patient and nice to even let them be there for her color test. The salon did nothing wrong. Do not listen to their negative posts just because they made poor choices. This is a wonderful salon with expert stylists. read more

My friend on my sports team recommended Suzette Oropeza. I have a very short hair cut and it can be complicated to get the right angles. Suzette did an absolutely amazing job!! She started with the shampoo (obviously) and gave THE BEST scalp massage I have ever had! I brought in a picture of what style I wanted and Suzette went an above and beyond! My hair turned out actually better than the photo!!!!! I will definitely be making the drive out to Redding every time to get my haircut! read more

I called for my first time there to see if I could get in today and the lady that answered said that they had a stylist coming into work in 20 minutes and would call and ask the stylist if she could get me in today and if she could or could not do the appt. today then I would get a call back either way from her or from the stylist thats coming in....so after waiting over 45 minutes I still didn't get a return call so I called back and the same lady said the stylist should be there any minute and they would be sure to call me when she comes in.... so I wait another 30 minutes later and when I called back again a man answered and I told him I been talking with a lady about waiting on a stylist thats coming into work to find out if she could do an appt today and he said " hold on a second"... then he said," well she doesn't know" and I said, " will you call me or do I call you?" and he rudely said, " I don't know" like he could care less and hung up the phone...... so I take it as they don't need or care for new customers... the first lady should not have promised me she would call me either way if the hair stylist could get me in today or not and then never even bothered to call me back....I WILL NEVER GO THERE AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO LET PEOPLE I KNOW HOW RUDE PLATINUM IS.....they are not very smart because their are a lot of salons in Redding and with the internet now days your salon can go from hero to zero so they should be nice to all callers and customers and watch what you say and not make false promises read more
