I had long, thick and dry hair. Kylie washed, layered and shaped it. Then she put curl cream on it. My hair was BEAUTIFUL when I left. I have never been more pleased! She was friendly. She listened. She knew what she was doing. Such a professional! Great job! read more

Idk, I ended up with an ok haircut but not really the one I asked for. Probably more of a communication issue but idk what I did. The pictures I had were of longer curly hair and we kept talking about how good my hair looked here and there like how long it was in the back and I felt like we were on the same page but then what we talked about would get cut off. I trusted the process because I thought it would end up like the picture but I ended up losing about 3-4 months of hair growth and I don't have my curls anymore. read more

Great customer service! I made a mistake and thought my appointment was on a day it wasn't and Kylie was sweet enough to squeeze me in for a haircut. She not only has a great personality but she also did an amazing job cutting my hair. Nailed what I wanted. I really appreciate the detail she put into my layers making my hair look voluminous again! read more

Razors Edge Salon - From drab old ombré to warm wonderful brown!! - Hair Salons Near Me - Redding, California

I have a lot of hair, and I had yet to find a stylist who can cut it where it doesn't look choppy and weird. Until I found Tricia! She's amazing, rather than just giving me the layered hair style I found on Pinterest she really studied my hair type and suggested a few edits. It came out absolutely perfect. Like I said before, whenever I get layers they usually look like they've been hacked by a gardening shears. Tricia really took the time to cut my hair properly(for my hair type) and now I can wear it straight or curled without it looking choppy. She also helped find a style that works with my cowlicks and made sure it was a style that would work with my daily life. Plus, she's a sweetheart and is very easy to talk to! If you're looking for a stylist who will take the time to make sure your hairstyle will work with your hair type then Tricia is your gal! The salon is up to date and is very inviting. The front door took me a second to find though, it's on the street side rather than in the parking lot. read more

It's very important to have my hair look both in regulation and look excellent. This place does that. It's a very nice and positive salon. Everyone who works there are wonderful ladies. The person I have cut my hair is Jenny Lee. She is not only incredibly skilled in women's cuts and color, but myself and many service members go to her. You think you're too macho for a salon? Wrong. We fought the Haj and we go to her. Best haircut ever. Are you going somewhere else? You are wrong then but it's ok you can go here too! Jenny is incredibly thoughtful and considerate and an excellent caring listener. I'm happy to be her client and friend. read more

Michelle Ragains is my stylist. She is incredible! I've been growing out an absolutely awful haircut done by a different stylist at a different salon, and Michelle has made the most out of it for me! It is downright amazing what she did to fix my very short hair. She used to cut my and my husband's hair back at Kwik Kuts, and she still remembers both of us from years ago. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the cut and color you get there. I don't go anywhere else and recommend Razor's Edge (Michelle specifically) to everyone with hair! read more

My hair is only a buzz cut in the Buddhist Tradition, but Razor's Edge is the best! Very few places will have 'heart' like this place :) Get on down there, enjoy yourself, there is nothing like a refreshing haircut and if you get bored, ask for the buzz cut! ;) read more

Rosa is a true professional. Her attention to detail and and knowledge of texture and technique are remarkable. After looking for two years, and making many mistakes with other stylists, I've decided to return. read more

I went to get my hair done for the first time. Michelle did a wonderful job. I have long hair and for the very first time I left a salon with volume in my hair without having a ton of product in it. She trimmed the split ends and took her time to blow my hair out with a large round brush and it looked awesome. Then she added soft curls with the curling iron and I left the salon with bouncy hair with lots of volume. I am a huge fan now and highly recommend the place. read more

Rosa was amazing! My hair feels healthy and looks great which is exactly what i wanted :)

Had Sarah razor cut my hair. She LISTENS & ASKS what I like ! Outstanding job! Very professional! Rearranged part of her day to work me in! Highly recommend! read more

I do not do much with my hair since I am a waitress and just put my hair up, so I'm not exactly credible when it comes to knowing what is great with hair. However, I felt a need for change on the day of my birthday, and just walked in and asked if they had time to dye my hair and a hair cut. They had an opening for the next hour and I sure am glad I took the opening. She was very patient with my lack of hair knowledge so I really appreciate that. And I got plenty of compliments so that's a great sign! The atmosphere was very uplifting and everyone seemed very nice. Talking to their customers and laughing. I forgot the girls name for this was in February, but a review was long due. read more

had alyssa do a cut and color. I was a visitor from so cal visiting my brother in redding. she was great! did a great job on my hair. next time I go to redding I will go see her. recommended her to all my family in redding too read more

I made an appointment online about a week ago, and was excited to get my hair done today. However, about ONE HOUR before my appointment, Alyssa called me and told me that my color consultation and actual hair appointment were backwards and therefore could not do my hair today. She also said that she only dyes hair darker, not lighter like I requested. Um, what? Ok, then. If I did my job like this, people would die. And she couldn't look at the schedule, say, sooner than 1 hour before appointments? Please. I'll take my business somewhere else! read more

I LOVE it here! Jenny is my stylist and she is awesome! When I first went in to see her my hair was a big dull mess and I have a ton of hair. She makes my color look incredible and given my mass amounts of hair, she is a doll and super patient! I am constantly getting compliments on my cut and color and I owe it all to her. I will continue to keep coming back! read more

Jenny does a great job on my hair. She is knowledgeable, and explains what she is doing and listens to her customers (which is very important). Everyone in the shop is friendly and helpful too. I'm so glad I found this salon. read more

Being new to this area and needing to find a new hairstylist I was by far very skeptical. I decided to finally reach out and look for a new hairstylist and came across this salon on here that had amazing reviews. After reading a lot of positive reviews, I decided to book an appointment with JENNY and boy was I beyond thankful and relieved I did! I have never been to a hair dresser where they remind you of any options that are out there for your hair that might help it, but also INFORM you of the prices before doing anything. Not only that, but I felt welcomed the second I walked in and they made it feel like it wasn't my first visit in the salon. Thank you Jenny so much for taking your time on my hair and for doing such an amazing job! Definitely will be coming back! read more

I recently moved to Redding and desperately need my hair highlighted, cut and colored. I read the reviews on Yelp and booked an appointment with Michele. I was extremely satisfied with my service with Michele. She did a fabulous job, I love my hair. I would recommend her to anyone. read more

Terrible experience. They may give good haircuts, I wouldn't know I never made it that far. I called a day before and made an appointment. Showed up 15 minutes before my appointment, no one was up front, they were kind of busy so I just saw myself. I waited about 10 minutes until the hairdresser with braces came up and ask if I had an appointment, not if I needed help. More of a snarky, what are you doing. I told her I made an appointment and gave her all my information, she look in there system and said I was no record of me. She then went on to tell me they could not help me. She was rude, had no patience and has terrible customer service. She acted like she hated her life, her face and body language was came off very aggressive. I wouldn't want anyone like that cutting my hair, so I left and went down the street to whiskeytown barber shop. They took me without an appointment, I only waited 5 minutes, I got a beer while I got an amazing haircut. I should really be thanking that lady with braces, she saved me and help me point business to someone that actually wants it. read more

Okay so it has been a while since I been to a salon and it really showed. First off I used their online scheduling and that was a breeze. It told the price, time and you can pick who you want. I was lucky to get Michelle who is a wonderful stylist. I can honestly imagine what she was thinking when she saw me walk in with my coppery hair asking for a new do. LOL but anyways the salon is very clean and the staff is extremely personable and friendly. Michelle was very knowledgeable and honest with what she can do and how she could fix my unruly mane. In the end she transformed me and now I have a workable style that I love. They also have other services as well that I may have to try out :) But I am 100% satisfied with my experience and of course my new look!! read more

Finally some style in redding. First off it was easy to find, which was something that was big for me since I am new to the area. It has very cool and edgy photos up, was very clean, I was able to get cut right away even though I didn't make an appointment (which I found out you do online- very cool!!) Joanna was my available and cut my hair. I didn't know what I wanted so she told me what would work well for my hair! I loved working with Joanna. She was great conversation and gave me a great haircut! I get complements and tell them to go see Joanna! Great place! read more

Came in with orange hair and awful roots and Alyssa did an amazing job! My highlights turned out beautifully and she did an amazing job on my cut with very little input from me (I usually tell the stylist to do whatever they think is best). She was also so nice and personable. Everyone in the salon was friendly. I'm glad I found myself a new salon! read more

I had my first appointment here this morning to get my hair dyed and cut so I was incredibly nervous! I went from a blonde to a medium chocolate brown and it came absolutely beautiful and perfect!! Jenny was my hair dresser and will now forever be my hair dresser! She was so knowledgeable and gave me great tips on taking care of my scalp and hair. My color came out looking completely natural and I've gotten so many compliments, I can't say thank you enough! The salon as a whole is also very clean and has a cozy feeling and all the girls seemed super fun and great at what they do! I definitely recommend going here for any cut and color needs :) read more

Got my hair done by Michelle and was greatly disappointed. She was a nice person and seemed to love her job but she did not do a good hair cut. It looked like someone cut my hair with butcher scissors and the cut was uneven. I even had to cut my hair myself to fix it. It was a waste of time and money. read more
