Great experience at Great Clips on Placer! I received an offer, quickly downloaded the app, jumped on the waiting list, and within about 30 minutes I was in Tara's chair. Tara gave me a great haircut, made me feel valued, and we had a great conversation. The whole process was quick, easy, and super efficient--and a great deal too. Great haircut, great service, and no wasted time. Highly recommend Tara! I'll definitely be back! read more

Great Clips - Waiting for my turn view. - Hair Salons Near Me - Redding, California

They always cut shorter than I ask for. They will say "is this good" while pinches off the length I asked to be cut and then go way farther than that. read more

Don't let the short blonde cut your hair, I forgot her name but she ruined my hair for the time being, didn't even attempt to make it look somewhat similar to the photo I showed her. And I understand you can't copy and paste but when you ask if the length your going to cut is good, then proceed to cut way more off and just all around feel like you are rushing the shit out of a hair cut then of course the end game is going to be a upset customer and a bad review. I came here last year and had the BEST cut and now I got the worst. read more

Super nice, I got a great haircut and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The wait wasn't bad at all and the ladies are all super friendly

Had the worst hair cut in my life. Went there just to trim couple inches off of my long straight hair. I picked the place because they take walk in and I really didnt need much styling. The woman who cut my hair was rough with her brush. I had to hold on to my necklace because she was brushing through my necklace every single time, I thought she was either going to break my necklace or choke me in the process. She wanted to use a clipper on my long hair, and I declined. The final result which I couldn't see till I got home was as of a dog chewed through my hair. My husband said it's not even, the end is not layered as I requested, and it's not leveled. There is an inch and half difference. Now I am furious. read more

Service was great. I appreciate the cut and conversation with everyone. My hair cut was just as I requested. I'm very happy with it. The lady who cut my hair, Monica, handled a very upset & unruly customer that came in yelling and scaring children waiting to have their haircut. Good job ladies!!!!keep up the great work. read more

Great haircuts for men or women. Staff is friendly and location is nice. Sauney and Emily were fabulous! Despite it being a busy day, they were kind, friendly, and gave amazing hair cuts. read more

I called to get my son's hair cut about 1.5 hours before closing to be sure they had availability, when I made the 15 mile drive to get there they said that their online reservations had booked them out. So a phone call apparently means nothing to them, and there was no mention of an online portal to register for a haircut. -10 of 5. Will never even attempt to use this location or service again. read more

Amanda the manager here is great. She handles my rambunctious son well. They always do a good job here. We get a good and consistent outcome each time no matter who we have. I was going to Quick Cuts but choppy uneven cuts with my kids multiple times has me willing to pay a few bucks more for great service. They are friendly and with online check in, it's a breeze! read more

This mask thing is rediculous! The lady came outside and stopped me and another customer from entering. Helped the other customer and left me standing there. So I went in & put myself on the list. Waited in my car for an hour. Had my haircut with my mask on. Didn't want to talk because I could hardly breathe. Felt very uncomfortable. Couldn't wait to leave. Never want to go back. read more

I lived in the neighborhood and my two kids are all customers of great clips. I made request of adjustments about the haircut and it turned out great. I like it and the price is good. read more

Love this place !!! I always cut my hair with Kristie , Im really picky with my hair and I was a little bit insecure to cut it with someone that I don't know so my friend recommended Kristie, she is the best !!!! She Even suggested shampoo, conditioner and a heat protector for my hair !!! Which I've been using and loving it since!!! read more

Kudos to this shop for following proper health and safety guidelines regarding covid-19. It's too bad that some people bad mouth this salon for doing everything they can to help stop the transmission. They get 5 stars from me for service and for doing their part to stop the spread of a disease that has killed nearly a million people in the U.S. alone. read more

Got a haircut from Steph today, she is AMAZING! She knows what she's doing An I'll keep goin back to her... read more

Wow, so impressed! I was a little disappointed at first when I found out that they don't take appointments. Then I found out that you can get the app go online see how long it's going to be and check in online. Kayla, cut and styled my son's hair and did a wonderful job being very detailed oriented about cowlicks, blending the top and sides and giving him the BEST hair cut he had ever had! It grew out beautifully looking good until today when we are back at the shop having another fabulous haircut with Kayla. We were so impressed that my husband even came and had his haircut with Kayla and will be coming back shortly for his again. I love when my boys leave Great clips after having a haircut with Kayla feeling confident and happy with their new hairstyle. read more

Wouldn't not come back. I had to cut my kids hair when I made it back home to not have to deal with the bad service. Came because of reviews but unfortunately will not return. read more

This place is great! As the name suggests. I go to great clips regularly in the state I live in, so coming to one on the other side of the country, I didn't expect them to have my normal preferences on file. Surprise, surprise! My stylist was quick and friendly and absolutely well worth the wait! Great job, great clips! read more

First time at Great Clips and I had an excellent experience. Appreciated the strict adherence to covid protocol. Checked in remotely then walked in when they were ready for me. The salon appeared very clean, bright and professional. Lee Ann did a great job with my short hair cut. Professional, efficient, respectful, excellent work. I'll definitely be back1 read more

Went here because I saw the good ratings. It was also close to where I live. I thought this would be a great place to try out. The prices are great too and the atmosphere wasn't bad. When I went and sat down and explained my haircut, the lady was confused. I thought maybe I was explaining it weird or wrong so I showed a picture and she knew what to do and said "yeah I can do that". Once she began she shaved really high up on my hair which I thought was strange but I didn't question it. She then recommended trimming more of the top and I agreed. She ended up cutting 2-3 inches off the top! I already had short hair. It looked bad but it was short so I wasnt going to complain. It would grow back anyways right? Well after going home and showering, I noticed there was almost no fade (that I asked for) and multiple bald spots. It was much worse than I thought and everyone of my friends and family were laughing at how bad it looked. Now I'm stuck with the worst haircut ive gotten for the next couple of weeks. Not going back. Giving it a 2 star because who knows, maybe the lady I had was new and maybe the others were better. I'm not going to take my chance here anymore. (A girl with bleached orangish / brown hair did my hair.) read more

This was the first time we tried Great Clips- we missed our last hair appointment and my son needed a haircut before the start of school. Downloaded the Great Clips app for free, checked in through the app at home, so when we arrived we only had to wait for about 3-4 minutes. Friendly, approachable staff with good hair and fashion. Clean salon with good music. Rachel gave my son a fantastic haircut and it only cost $12! We also received a $3 off coupon for the next cut (expires in October), and the stylist typed notes onto their database for he next stylist to refer to. Very good experience. The only things that could make it better would be better magazines (they had Star and AARP), and refreshments (ice water would be great). read more

Rachel was AMAZING!!!!!!! My kid got like 30 bunchies stuck in my hair, didn't think they were coming out, pretty sure I was going to have to chop it all off, she painstakingly removed all 30! Then gave me a nice trim, wash, blow dry, and a coupon for my next visit. read more

Friendly staff and excellent location. Really like coming here and the online check in makes it easy!

Awesome experience here today, everyone was kind and helpful. Thank you Rachel for my walk in men's cut. Very professional and pleasant.

Great staff and I wanted to try something new and loved the hair stylist's recommendation!

Megan is our go to hair gal! She does a fantastic job! Both my son and husband use her.

New to town and needed a haircut, wasn't sure where to go but was in this shopping center and after reading the reviews for this location I decided to give it a shot, glad I did, got a wonderful cut and it was cheap! read more

My god I just had THE WORST haircut from them. I used to recommend people to them, had my hair cut, but after my boyfriend got not one but TWO absolutely botched haircuts we stopped going. I went since I definitely needed just a small trim to get my dead ends off. I have very long hair so I figured they couldn't possibly mess up a simple, beauty school 101 haircut of a dead ends trim. Not only did they utterly fail to taper my side bangs like I ask several times, but they completely botched my trim. There are ends they didn't even cut, the layer underneath the back of my hair in the back had a section that's at least an inch shorter than the rest of my hair, nothing is straight cut it's all jagged. Only reason I didn't say anything was because I couldn't tell until I got home to brush it out and use a mirror. They say their business is slow because people are afraid to come in because of COIVD but it is 100% because people learned they can do better haircuts at home. Getting my money back and never coming back. Messing up a guys hair is very slightly understandable since it's much more complicated, but messing up a simple dead ends trim? Not acceptable at all read more

Nice, friendly and they do a really nice job cutting your hair. Very convenient check in on your mobile phone. Organized and clean. I have had my haircut at least 4 times in the last 10 months and each time was a different hairdresser, but they were all very good. I would recommend this business over several other similar ones in town. read more
