A chance encounter with a New Zealander with a truly epic beard lead me to discover Meghan at Bandbox. I set up an appointment by text message and was able to get a same-day appointment. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect in the Redding area though I vaguely understood the possibilities for men's hair styling would be more limited than in the big city I moved from. But I was wrong. Meghan immediately put me at ease with her professional and down to earth attitude. We discussed what I wanted and what I'd done before with other stylists before Meghan got to work. I have had clients who were professional stylists and it was immediately obvious that Meghan knows her craft. Meghan has an eye for precision and a steady hand. She noticed things about my hair that no one had ever pointed out and that I never noticed before. More importantly, I was happy with the way my hair and beard were balanced. My wife, who provides the only real judgment I need, says she likes what Meghan did with my hair and beard. Specifically, she preferred it to what I had been getting in the LA area. I couldn't be happier, and I will definitely be going back to Bandbox. read more

I am super upset with Meghan at Bandbox! I had it soooooo good here in Roseville when she had a spot so close to my home. Then she just HAD TO MOVE TO REDDING AND RUIN MY LIFE!!! When you have someone who is so superbly skilled in her craft as Meghan, who also happens to be the coolest and most pleasant person in the business, and she moves away to start her own shop you can't help but be crazy thrilled for her success and totally devastated at the same time. Finding a replacement for Meghan has been an exercise in futility but I'll survive. Redding, CA is 2.5 hours from my home in Roseville. A five hour round trip for the best haircut ever? ABSOLUTELY! I'll be visiting Bandbox in the near future. That's a promise! read more

I have been cutting my own hair for 10 years now. Well, I have grown tired of cutting and cleaning up my own hair and decided to branch out and find a stylist. If you are a guy and need a hair stylist, you have to check out Bandbox! This is a young couple who just moved to Redding from Sacramento and opened up their own hair salon. This place is amazing! I almost don't want to share about them because I fear they will be overbooked as soon as people find out. I agree with all the other reviews; Meghan is extremely talented and professional. Thank you Meghan...you broke me of 10 years of cutting my own hair. I'm sold. read more

I would recommend Meghan to anyone that appreciates a precise haircut and great experience. I was devastated to see her and those clippers leave the Roseville/Rocklin area. Like clockwork I would come and be greeted like a close friend every week before leaving with the exact haircut I envisioned. If you are in the Redding area (living or visiting) you should stop in and enjoy the experience I have had. Also on a very serious note, if I had anything major (weddings, interview, political debate) I would want a hair cut from Meghan that day, you leave with it styled how you never could on your own! read more

Meghan is extremely talented at what she does. Let me start off with this: I am very picky about my hair. When Meghan and I began to talk I could instantly tell she was a professional and confident about her work. One thing I like a lot about her is that she consulted and educated as she went to work on my locks! Aesthetically, the shop is cool, it's just her in her own room adorned with a record player, beverages, and cool wine barrel furniture. I highly suggest Bandbox for your next haircut, you won't be disappointed! read more

Great place to get your haircut! Meghan relocated here from Sacramento and has been cutting men's hair for almost 5 years. This is THE SPOT in Redding! It's new, it's reasonably priced and super CLEAN! You get a scalp massage and shampoo, and a hot towel on your face at the end that leaves you feeling exquisite! I highly recommend this place read more

I've been getting my haircut at the same place for years now so I was nervous about going to a new place like Bandbox. Turns out that I had nothing to be nervous about because Meghan is very skilled, friendly and pays attention to every detail. I don't live in Redding but if I did I would get my haircut by Meghan every time. read more

Meghan is the real deal! I've had my haircut in a lot of big cities in a lot of different states and Meghan is one of the very best. Not only did she do an awesome job in my hair but she was also willing to accommodate me on very short notice and provided excellent customer service. Definitely the best place in Redding! read more

Meghan gave me an excellent haircut! She asked great questions and explained multiple options, educating me the entire time on the best way to cut/style my hair. The most important recommendation I could give however is that my girlfriend won't stop raving about my new look. read more
