A chance encounter with a New Zealander with a truly epic beard lead me to discover Meghan at Bandbox. I set up an appointment by text message and was able to get a same-day appointment. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect in the Redding area though I vaguely understood the possibilities for men's hair styling would be more limited than in the big city I moved from. But I was wrong. Meghan immediately put me at ease with her professional and down to earth attitude. We discussed what I wanted and what I'd done before with other stylists before Meghan got to work. I have had clients who were professional stylists and it was immediately obvious that Meghan knows her craft. Meghan has an eye for precision and a steady hand. She noticed things about my hair that no one had ever pointed out and that I never noticed before. More importantly, I was happy with the way my hair and beard were balanced. My wife, who provides the only real judgment I need, says she likes what Meghan did with my hair and beard. Specifically, she preferred it to what I had been getting in the LA area. I am super upset with Meghan at Bandbox! I had it soooooo good here in Roseville when she had a spot so close to my home. Then she just HAD TO MOVE TO REDDING AND RUIN MY LIFE!!! When you have someone who is so superbly skilled in her craft as Meghan, who also happens to be the coolest and most pleasant person in the business, and she moves away to start her own shop you can't help but be crazy thrilled for her success and totally devastated at the same time. Finding a replacement for Meghan has been an exercise in futility but I'll survive. Redding, CA is 2.5 hours from my home in Roseville. A five hour round trip for the best haircut ever? ABSOLUTELY! Hadn't cut my hair in over 2years (to donate) and am very picky about my hair since i was very young, so needless to say i was very selective in choosing a new hair stylist but all my fears were quickly relieved once I spoke with Meghan via text. Even better, after I got to the shop which is very relaxed and easy to find, I got to comfortably speak with Meghan about a new hair style and what i wanted done with my beard. She is knowledgeable and easy to talk to and just wants to do whats best for you and your look. I have been cutting my own hair for 10 years now. Well, I have grown tired of cutting and cleaning up my own hair and decided to branch out and find a stylist. If you are a guy and need a hair stylist, you have to check out Bandbox! This is a young couple who just moved to Redding from Sacramento and opened up their own hair salon. This place is amazing! I would recommend Meghan to anyone that appreciates a precise haircut and great experience. I was devastated to see her and those clippers leave the Roseville/Rocklin area. Like clockwork I would come and be greeted like a close friend every week before leaving with the exact haircut I envisioned. Meghan is extremely talented at what she does. Let me start off with this: I am very picky about my hair. When Meghan and I began to talk I could instantly tell she was a professional and confident about her work. One thing I like a lot about her is that she consulted and educated as she went to work on my locks!
