Uni Uni was finally Elite Boba, but this has changed for the better. Even though it's still occupying the same space, the seating is a little different and less annoying. It's still a bit narrow but you won't be tripping on chairs or bumping into tables walking in. You can order drinks from the two giant screens or put an order in with one of the employees. There's a nice variety of drinks here compared to before like yakult yogurt drinks, milk foam, teas, and seasonal offerings. Customize your drink sugar level, ice, and toppings. There's also some vending machines containing toys so give it a shot if you're okay for something random! Uni Uni is one of my favorite boba tea shops in the area. The quality and service is just right! Don't forget your punch card.

I think this place must've replaced elite boba in downtown nape. The decor is pretty similar inside. I liked the self serve kiosk options to grab drinks! It made the whole grab and go experience pretty quick. I thought the Thai tea was lacking tea flavor and was mostly milk. The passion fruit tea was amazing though and had pieces of fruit which I loved.

They have good teas but the amount of sugar is too much , you cannot even drink, even after you ask to do it less

It's okay. Joy Yees has the best boba and fruit shakes IMO. But this place has nice presentation ie cups, walls, lights lol.

Bread could have been better, but not the worse. The crispy chicken was the star of the meal! I'll definitely have that again. Great crisp and flavor. I got it with Boom Boom sauce and it worked great. Fries were good, and so was the milk tea. The cinnamon sugar waffles though were a total let down: very dry. Extremely disappointing All in all, a good local option and will definitely order again.

I wasn't impressed with the bread itself but we all have our off days but it would probably have taken this to 5 stars. I also had couple of the waffles to go and this is where things kinda start falling apart a little and literally. They came on a stick but you couldn't really hold the stick up as the waffle was too heavy so I didn't understand the concept. It still had good flavor though. They Ube waffle was different but I didn't feel I tasted any "ube" like I am not sure it added anything except the color. I had the smoothie as well and that was very sweet and didn't taste natural so that I didn't like but I am sure others might. I definitely would have preferred a more natural smoothie. Inside the store its kinda cute for teens to hang out. So overall I recommend this place. Food : 4/5 Service: 4/5

Now, the big sign above the place outside still says Joy Yee...as do the plates, the cups, the employee shirts. The food and drink menu look the same too. Pretty much the only thing that says Joy Yuan is their menu and their website. So I don't know what happened, but it's pretty obvious this used to be a Joy Yee's and some kind of management change happened, but it feels like literally nothing has changed. Which is a good thing! My wife and I used to take Joy Yee's for granted in Chinatown, going only for drinks, but their food is always solid as well. We were going to do takeout, but our kid was hungry so we dined in and got the classic beef cubes in tomato rice and salt and pepper shrimp. Dare I say...the beef cubes were better than what we remember at Joy Yee's? They were still sauced well but also were more tender and less chewy than we remember. The shrimp were large and solid as well, and not too spicy. We had to get drinks of course, and my berry/passion fruit smoothie took me back to many days walking through Chinatown. The prices are still a little higher like everything else in the world, and they could definitely do with some decor. Maybe they had to change it with the change in ownership? But service was on point and I think we'll definitely be making the drive back here.

This has always been a super solid location until a year or so ago. They changed chefs or something and the food started tasting different. Not bad necessarily, just not as good as it was. Fast forward to present time, this location has randomly closed again without any notice for 8 months. They finally re-opened this week under a new name "Joy Yuan" but inside is exactly the same. Still extremely stark, sterile, and depressing, but it still has Joy Yee branded plates? It's a little confusing. Half of the boba menu is crossed off now too. As for the food, I'd say it's mostly the same but the won ton soup took a turn for the worse. The broth almost tasted dirty oily and burnt but the wontons themselves were good. Usually the broth is super savory and garlicky, but that was not the case. We also ordered egg rolls and the size and presentation of these has changed at least 3 times since they first opened. They're big again but have that odd burnt/oily flavor to them. The chicken fried rice remains the same, the orange chicken was good as well and we decided to try the mixed mushroom chow fun which everybody enjoyed. I was also happy to see that they had the mango passion fruit freeze (add strawberry popping boba) that remains the same and is delicious. I need to try the traditional milk teas to see if they're still the same too. Service is still the same with a lot of the same staff still working there. It's not good but it's not bad, they're just efficient. This isn't a sit down place where you're catered to if that's what you're looking for. I don't know, I'm torn about the new ownership or whatever they did under the new name change. The food seems the same for the most part but it's also not at the same time. Our experience wasn't bad, and I'm willing to try it again but it seems that this place has lost its spark.

LOL.. but I finished my entire sweet treat in 1 sitting while my husband had leftovers. This place had my self control out the window, it really is a great spot to end the night at. Andy's vs Everest? My vote is for Everest in all aspects. Service was quick, quality of desserts are top notch and the space itself is inviting with 25ish places to sit. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a business that could serve both of these needs so that we didn't split our group after having a delicious meal at Xi'an cuisine. The interior here is quite fun, similar to other spots in the Naperville area. There's several nice opportunities for creating social media worthy pictures and the amount of seating is fairly good for a dessert spot. The menu isn't the trendiest as it covers popular options for custard and bubble tea, but not the more unique options available in some other restaurants in the area. If it weren't located near a competitive market in the Naperville / Aurora area, this would rank a bit higher as you'll find more here than lots of spots in the Schaumburg to Oakbrook area. Presentation is a bit on the simpler side, but still fairly good. The quality of the ingredients was pretty good as well. Service wasn't super fast as there was only 1 person preparing all the orders, though the wait was surprisingly not too long. Prices feel a little on the higher side, but not unreasonable given the area.

One of Aurora's (Chicago Suburbs) Best Boba Tea Spots!…read more After traveling around the world and tasting boba from Taiwan to Singapore, I can confidently say that Vannie House in Aurora delivers some of the best tapioca pearls I've had in the U.S. The pearls are perfectly chewy, fresh, and absolutely on par with the quality I've experienced in top-tier Asian tea shops. One thing I really appreciate is the tapioca-to-drink ratio. Most boba shops either overload you with pearls or drown everything in too much liquid. Vannie House nails the balance, every sip and scoop feels intentional and well crafted. I tried several drinks on my visit: M9 (modified with Thai Tea) -- Smooth, flavorful, and extremely well blended. A3 Orange Peach with Black Tea -- Sweet, refreshing, and surprisingly layered in flavor. Hot Chai Tea -- Rich, warm, and incredibly smooth. Easily one of the best chai teas I've had at any boba shop. The interior decor is also a standout, clean, modern, cozy, and aesthetically designed. It's the kind of place you actually want to sit and enjoy your drink rather than rush out. Huge shoutout to Niko, whose recommendations were absolutely on point. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, exactly the kind of service that keeps you coming back. If you're in Aurora and looking for high-quality boba tea, Vannie House (my #47 Boba Tea Spot) is a must-try. I'll 100% be returning whenever I'm in the area.

The weird part was asking if i had a punch card and when i said no they didn't offer me one either? Either way, i got the taro strawberry smoothie and a hazelnut iced coffee. Neither of us enjoyed the drinks because they're very syrup heavy resulting in a drink that's wayyyyy too sweet. It just tastes like drinking concentrated syrup and powder blended/mixed with milk. Barely tasted any taro. Having some real ingredients like frozen strawberries with taro powder is what I'd expect at this price point. Not both ingredients being powdered and syrups. The tapioca itself was really good, soft and not too chewy. But there's just way too much of it, you're eating boba more than enjoying a drink. The brown sugar syrup that the boba sits in doesn't help with the additional sweetness in the drink. Wouldn't recommend for real drinks
