    Housemade Donuts

Went to White Sheep for the first time on Sunday morning. Such a cute restaurant! I love the aesthetics of the place. When you walk in, you'll see their delicious donuts displayed which they make in house. The restaurant has plenty of seating and also a bar area. It's only open for breakfast and lunch. Did you They don't take reservations, but you can't get on a waitlist in advance. Our server was Elizabeth and she was on top of everything making sure that we had enough water and coffee refills. I started with a cappuccino, which was very disappointing especially when I saw that they had such a great barista area behind the bar. The foam wasn't thick, it was full of bubbles and dissipated as soon as she put it down. I make a better cappuccino at home with a thick froth on the top. They need to definitely improve on their skills with frothing milk. For breakfast my husband and I both had omelettes. He had a Mexican type omelette with chicken tinga and avocado. I made up my own omelette with spinach and feta cheese. Both of our omelettes came with cubed roasted potatoes. I ordered a side of bacon and asked Elizabeth to make sure it was crispy. Unfortunately it came out limp and not crispy at all. Another miss in my book. The omelettes came with your choice of toast or pancakes, or for an up charge of $1.25 you could get a doughnut. We opted for the crème brûlée doughnut on one of our omelettes. We shared that donut and it was pretty yummy. Even with the two misses or disappointments, I would go back to White Sheep again and try another item on their menu and maybe splurge and get a doughnut, too. I think for $7.50 for the cappuccino (up charge for the sugar-free vanilla and the almond milk) I would skip the cappuccino. It's definitely a cute place and a nice addition to Naperville. Give it a try and see what you think!

Was skeptical of the food quality after seeing the decor but was pretty pleased with the food overall. Would recommend the lemon blueberry French toast (they use house made thiccc bread and it's not too sweet. bloobs were extra plump and I liked the lemon curd) and strawberry donut (pretty solid yeasted donut and tasted like real strawberries). Hash/skillet was filling and everything was cooked well but nothing to write home about. Chocolate peanut butter donut was a bit too sweet for me, same with the latte but inside gotten half sweet. Their donuts were practically sold out by 10:30 AM so I suggest getting there early. Great service and homey vibes.

I finally tried the White Sheep for a lazy Sunday morning breakfast. The vibe is upscale and chic, but warm and inviting. Service was fantastic - attentive but not too attentive. The food was good. For the price point, I wanted it all to be amazing. I got the ciabatta sunrise breakfast sandwich - definitely too messy to eat as a sandwich, but all of the components were tasty. The potatoes needed more seasoning. The waitress hyped up the donuts, so I ordered a cinnamon sugar donut on the side. It was cold and disappointing - absolutely nothing special. My friend ordered the strawberry cheesecake French toast, which was amazing. The menu is varied enough that I want to come back and try again. The food has the potential to be amazing, it just wasn't there for me this morning.

3.5 but rounding up - A group of 4 of us came in for breakfast on a Sunday. This place gets packed early - the sooner you come in, the better. They also have a waitlist via their website which is helpful. The space is designed nicely and is well lit. The decor gives off a more upscale vibe for a brunch place. As soon as you walk in you'll see the dessert case and donuts behind the host stand. Originally I was planning to get a donut, but was turned off with where they are placed. I worry that hair, dander, debris from the front door constantly opening/closing, etc is all over the donuts. I didn't end up getting 1. Service throughout was consistent and great. Our server checked in a good amount of times and our food came out quick. It took about 10-15 mins for our food to come out after we placed our orders. I thought it was going to take longer given how busy it was, noooope, I was very wrong. For food I got the build your own omelette - broccoli and cheddar cheese. I'm surprised their options are pretty slim. The menu overall is just fine in my opinion. Pricing is on the premium side for what they offer, however, the portions are massive. The omelette was OK, nothing special. Their omelettes come with a side (potatoes or french fries at no additional cost. Everything else is an up charge) and toast or 1 pancake. I went with potatoes and a pancake. Both pretty standard, nothing special. Note: There is a service charge if using a credit card, to avoid this you'll need to pay with cash. They also do not separate checks - they can split it down the middle but they don't separate items.

I've heard of The White Sheep before, but their other location is too far for me. When the finally opened in Naperville, I was excited to try it. The service was great. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was a vibe. I felt like the food was okay. I ordered the southwest omelet. The chicken tinga was dry, but the chipotle hollandaise sauce helped it tremendously. The potatoes were seasoned well. Overall, everything was okay. I don't know if I'd come out of my way for brunch here, but if I do there's a couple other items that I'd try.

White Sheep in Naperville was amazing! The brunch wait was quick and the staff was very accommodating. The Tajín Lemonade Refresher was perfectly refreshing with a sweet, tart kick. The biscuits and gravy were rich and comforting to my soul, and the waffle flight was a standout. Flavors included biscotti, s'more, lemon blueberry, and strawberry and cream, and every single one was delicious. Huge shoutout to the pastry chef for absolutely crushing it, the donut bar looks phenomenal! Everything came out quick and fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Great atmosphere, great food, and definitely a brunch spot I'll be coming back to.

What a fun brunch spot! Highly recommend jumping on the waitlist since they don't take reservations, but came here on a Saturday at 11:40 and only waited about 5 minutes. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Now onto the food, WOW! The portions are massive, the prices are reasonable, and the taste was out of this world. The biscuits are life changing - fluffy, buttery, melt in your mouth. The waffle flight was so fun! I will say they are heavy on the crème topping, so if you aren't into sweet items, I wouldn't opt for this. The 4 flavors were so fun to try! My favorite was the s'mores! Lastly, the refresher, I had the hibiscus one and it was so full of flavor and refreshing. Highly recommend if you're looking for a new fun brunch spot.

I can't resist the donuts every time we come to White Sheep!

Updating 2/21/26 to add that we have brought our families and friends here several times now and everyone has loved it! All the food continues to be great, the donuts OH THE DONUTS- you cannot go wrong with any donut you order. Service is always quick and the servers are helpful in giving advice on what to order! Today we had Shea and she gave great recommendations for my father in laws donut choice. Both my mother and mother in law have commented that they love the upscale brunch vibe of the place. We will continue to be regulars, we love it!

A total glow-up for the old Bar Louie spot! Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect with The White Sheep taking over the old Bar Louie space, but the transformation is a total 180. The indoor decor is stunning--it's bright, fresh, and just has a great vibe that the downtown area really needed. The Service The service was on point. Our waitress was a rockstar; she stopped by a handful of times just to make sure we were actually enjoying everything. It didn't feel rushed or scripted--just genuinely attentive. The Food I tried to be "good" and went with the Fruit Bruschetta, and it's probably the best decision I've made all week. It's loaded with seasonal fruit, cream cheese, and a honey glaze, topped with fresh mint on a perfect crostini. For a "healthy" option, it absolutely blew my mind. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu!

White Sheep has an amazing location right in the heart of downtown Naperville, and the indoor vibes are super cool--it honestly feels more like a city brunch spot than suburban Naperville. Service was quick and friendly, which we appreciated! Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the hype. We ordered the Buenos Días hash bowl with a side of chocolate chip pancakes, but they initially brought out the wrong veggie hash bowl, which wasn't very tasty. They corrected it quickly and brought out our actual order, which was appreciated. The Buenos Días hash was just okay. It used roasted potatoes instead of traditional hash browns, which was a bit disappointing. The chorizo had good flavor, but the sausage pieces were tough and firm. While the dish was cheesy and served hot, it lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. The chocolate chip pancakes were decent, though the syrup was served cold--I really wish it had been warmed. We also grabbed a donut to go, which was disappointing. Since they make their donuts in-house, and we were told that Boston crème is their speciality, we expected atleast a decent donut. But disappointed here as well. Overall, I had higher expectations given the prime location, cool atmosphere, and all the hype. I'd come back for coffee maybe, but I'm not rushing back for donuts or brunch food.

Came at 9am on a Sunday. They pack everyone very tight even if there is space. The food came out quick and probably because it was not fully cooked.. Waffle flight: came with 4 mini waffles. The waffles were under cooked and not crispy at all. I would give this a 1/5 Chilaquiles: I got it with scrambled eggs but the eggs were not fully cooked. 1/5 Buenos Dias: the potatoes were not cooked and was just okay 2/5 Donuts: tasted stale1/5 OJ: this was good Caramel cold brew: 5/5 my husband enjoyed this Overall we will not be returning just for drinks.

White Sheep is a new brunch spot in the Downtown Naperville area! This is their second location (first in Orland Park). The inside has a very fun design aesthetic with tasteful sheep wallpaper and pictures sprinkled throughout. They did a great job mixing pattern and texture throughout and acoustics were great for how large/open the space is. I visited at 10am on a Sunday morning and there wasn't a wait. Their menu has a good mix of sweet and savory as well as lunch and breakfast options. Their doughnuts are house made every morning as well as a couple other menu items. I decided on the House Baked Biscuits & Gravy. The portion was a good size, gravy had really good flavor, but the biscuits were extremely hard to cut. They seemed both dense and bottoms were a bit overcooked. My husband got the Hangover Sandwich which he thoroughly enjoyed! We wanted to split a Boston Cream donut but they unfortunately had already ran out. Our servicer, Michelle, was bright and cheery when waiting on us. Overall, I'm so happy we stopped out to try this new Naperville spot! Excited to see how it continues to grow in the neighborhood.

It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine.
