She is very patient and has a cheerful personality which puts a BIG smile on my face during my visit :) I felt very at ease in her hands. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable - overall, a very pleasant experience, thank you :) During the comprehensive eye examination, I got my pupils dilated. Be sure to bring a pair of sunglasses with you if you're driving - you will be sensitive to lights! Or you can purchase a fashionable pair in their dispensary. The clinic carries a great selection of brand name eyewear and sunglasses! We also did something called Optomap wide-field retinal scan, which carefully and thoroughly checks the inside of the eye for any hidden eye diseases, monitors suspicious areas and changes from year to year, and confirms that everything is healthy! During the visit, I also learned that Dr. Tang specializes in contact lens wear, LASIK consultation, and Ortho-K (AOK) overnight corrective contact lens for myopia control in children. You can also make an appointment online anytime using their real-time schedule - very convenient and easy to use. I went to a trendy DT Toronto spot for my glasses and while the styles were great and the service was thorough, there was a disconnect with me having to go somewhere else to get my eyes tested before choosing my frames and lenses - a Wal-mart no less. I walked in and wanted to ask about the headaches I'd been having since getting my new glasses and Dr. Allyson took my glasses and ran them under a special machine to examine exactly what my prescription was and what they were comprised of. Thankfully everything checked out and Dr. A explained that because this was a slightly stronger prescription than I was used to that headaches were normal and to be expected. While I was happy with the individual service I received from both the Wal-mart optometrist and the store I purchased my glasses at, I think in future I would prefer to visit Dr. Allyson so I know that every part of my experience is in-house at one location. The store does a good job of cleaning and disinfecting during the current hard times and has a great selection of eye glasses. They were ready in a week and we are so happy! I have to say the best part is that the staff here is so honest, they don't try to sell you the most expensive pair of glasses - they will tell you nope those aren't right for your face shape. This is exasperated given there is no free parking - their website notes to go into the building behind them and look for Commercial Tenant parking signs, there is no such thing. There is parking for BMO customers, visitors to the building and authorized personnel, no commercial tenant ones. I appreciate they want to keep the doctor's busy, but at the expense of customers wasting time when they need to pay is poor service.

When I got home I looked at my bill and realized I had been charged $35 for the tiny bottle. Under no circumstances would I have agreed to purchase these drops as there was nothing special about them and could be obtained from the pharmacy or online much cheaper. There are several other eye Dr's who work out of the same office but we specifically see Nancy. She is knowledgeable, considerate, loves her work and always takes care of us. Her office is clean and well organized. They have enough staff to keep things moving. For example, if your not doing your eye pressure test, you are either in the room doing the eye exam or outside selecting your new frames. They have a very nice collection of frames to choose from and their staff really know how to help select the correct frame for the shape of your face. I really don't want to world to know about this place because I don't want it to get too busy lol The only thing that I would love to have is direct billing. I have direct billing with my dentist and it is wonderful.

Dr Chung is a kind of doctor who takes her work seriously and professionally. She spends enough time in testing your eyes to your full satisfaction. I used to wear bi-focal glasses. On my first visit, Dr Chung conducted detailed and thorough tests and concluded that I needed cataracts procedure. That was a life changing conclusion and decision for me. My "youth vision" returned to me. Happily I've been glasses free for the last 9 years.
