I'm so incredibly pleased with the exceptional service I received when I visited this place in hope to have my sunglasses adjusted. I had purchased a couple (pricey) sunglasses online; when I received them, the arms were too wide. I googled eyeglass repair shops and this place was among the first couple establishments suggested. Desperate for any form of help and/or advice, I stopped by the place. The owner (sorry, I forgot his name) was so incredibly helpful. As challenging as it was to make adjustments due to the style of the glasses, he was able to figure out a solution. I was so ecstatic!!! Not only did he amend the alignment of the temple arms so I could now wear my glasses, he did so expecting NO COMPENSATION! I was so eternally grateful, I persisted to INSIST he accept my offer of payment. Afterward, he gave me a lovely token (glasses care products). I'm am in AWE of his kindness and professionalism! I'd lost my prescription sunglasses a few days before I was leaving the country and Amazing Optical was able to get them finished for me in time when no one else could. They are extremely helpful and quite kind at Amazing Optical and their prices are better than elsewhere. I strongly recommend going to them. read more

Update! I had an emergency happen when I somehow scratched one of my eye glass lenses 2 days before a 2 week trip to asia. I dropped it off and was told that they would try their best to get it done by the next day. When I called the next day, to my horror and not their fault they said that the work was not done because their courier did not pick up my glasses due to the big snow storm we had the previous day. Clarence the owner assured me that he would drive up to Richmond Hill ( where the lab was) and get it done and drop it off to my house that night. And he did at 10pm, 6 hours before my flight! The fact that he went above and beyond my expectations totally blew me away! I offered to pay extra for his gas etc and he vehemently declined.... This is 5 star service in my books!! read more

I had misalignment in my eye glasses and when called asked me to come and quickly fixed the issue and considered it as a small fix did not even charge me. It's truly amazing to associate with this optical. The store may not be extravagant and showy but the staff is very friendly and super helpful. They are not money hungry and will not sell you frames and lenses that you don't need. They are very flexible and willing to go the extra mile to make you, the customer happy. I have dealt with them for my whole family and ended up purchasing 2 pairs of glasses for each. We are very pleased and will continue to visit them if and when there is a need and will also recommend and refer family and friends. Best optician and optical store ever! Clarence, the owner is super friendly, very efficient, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful too. My husband has the typical wide Asian face so it's not easy to find frames to fit the width of his temple. Amazing optical had just the right frames to fit him and without having to spend an arm and a leg either. Plus they knew exactly what frames to take out for him to try without having to go trying 100 frames first. He received the frames within 2 weeks of the order. There was once when we went to pick it up and the glasses had not arrived yet although we were told that they were in. Clarence went out of his way and dropped off the frames to our home himself! What service! They are also very efficient and knowledgeable on the right frames that would suit the shape of your face. It is always helpful when an optician offers you all the information for you to make your decision. His prices are also very fair and affordable. We recommend all our friends to them and everyone has always been so happy with their service and frames. read more

The people who run this shop are kind and honest people. I made the switch from a different optical because of their reputation, and have come here for many years. They always make sure that I'm satisfied with my purchase, never trying to sell me something I'm not interested in or anything outside of my price range. They also send me a variety of lenses whenever I change my contact lens' prescription so that I could try them out before making a hefty purchase. I thought I needed my glasses, either seriously repaired, or replaced (as per another optician). My glasses were repaired free of charge right in front of me. What an experience! A small little shop within a plaza that is ran by someone who actually LIKES to help people. I insisted on paying, but he would not hear it. He reminded me of the locksmith in the movie The Matrix. Almost science fiction. Will I go there to get my new pair of glasses when the time comes ? Absolutely ! Without a doubt. He is a skilled optician, and a true gentle soul. I have to agree with most of the reviews here, this place is great. I recently bought a pair of progressives from them. There was an older lady who worked there who was very helpful in assisting me with finding a pair of frames that looked good. A younger lady measured and ordered my glasses and they were ready for pick up when they said they would be ready. The owner was there when I picked up my glasses and he was very nice and made sure everything fit well. They even gave me an extra glass cloth wipe and a bottle of glass cleaner. The thing I really liked was they give you a plastic card and on the back is your exact prescription in case your ever travelling and your glasses break you can go to any optician and you have your prescription with you! Popped in to fix my favourite sunglasses that were damaged while on vacation. The gentlemen there was super friendly and took the time to explain everything to me. Amazingly BAD service!!! I visited store last Saturday for a pair of reading glasses for my wife (who is disabled). I selected this optician based on reviews online and had expectation of good customer service. I found the back area of the retail area to be cluttered and disorganized. On plus side, the clerk was patient and helpful, knowledgeable, and providing good suggestions. Clerk in store advised they had to check with lab about ability to make progressive lens for the prescription, and they would call me early this week. Also suggested for me to call in case they "forgot" (a early indication of lack of attention to detail and poor customer service). No call back was received. So I called early Thursday evening. The associate who answered the phone had no details, but advised would look into this and call back. However, this would not be until next day (rather than later in the evening), as it was more convenient for her. Overall, Amazing Optical was a waste of my time and will need to visit another optician to purchase a set of reading glasses. read more

I started going here more than 15 years ago (I think, more than 10 for sure). I was referred here by my relative that knows the now famous Clarance, the owner of the place. I told him I am the niece of such and such and he said he remembers them. I didn't have insurance for glasses then he gave me a very reasonable price. He is very friendly and chatty, and despite our age difference (I am probably not much older than his children) we became quick and great friends. I even go over just to chat after I got my glasses. Now years later, he is still a good friend, and everytime I go in he always ask about my grandma. It is hard to find good service nowadays, and he kept it up all these years. His business had grown (and I have to admit I had send some friends there also) and you might need to wait a bit longer for his "personal" service, but the other workers are very nice and helpful too. His prices are still reasonable and with great selections. I can't imagine to go anywhere else for glasses now. read more

I visited this store because of the reviews here in Yelp aside from the fact that I was looking for a prescription eyeglasses. I met the owner, Clarence, and I thought he was very good in customer service. One thing that I love about him is that he is not a pushy guy. He will work on according to your needs and affordability. He will not try to sell you the most expensive eyeglasses though that will provide him more margin. However, this amazing person cares. He understood that I am a student. He understood that I can't afford an expensive eyeglasses. He knew what I need. He knew what fits me as an Asian who was not gifted to have high nose. He tried to help me find frames that I might consider according to my preference. At the end, he provided me reasonable price. He even suggested for me to pay it once the item will arrive or if I have money. But I told him that I want to pay right away. And he said " I understand your situation because I was once a student". That statement, alone, made me like him not only as an Optometrist/ Sales Person but an AMAZING PERSON who cares to his clients. He even calls u by your name (as a Marketer, I thought that was great). He will not BS you. If I am going to get an eyeglasses again, I will IMMEDIATELY go to Clarence.
