However, today we go and pick up our Lab and she has a cut on her side. When we asked what happened we were told "no idea. Maybe she ran into a cabinet or table but we will check the footage from the groomers office and let you know." The manager calls me and OF COURSE the cameras are down. The manager then tells me that maybe the groomer clipped her when shaving her..... she wasn't shaved! She only had a bath! Do not take your dogs here. Such bad service and my poor dog had to pay the price.

Usually I train the puppies before I bring them out to her. This time I didn't. I wanted her to have him asap to help w the grief. My grandpa also had a dog, that never left his side and was with him the night he passed. After his passing we brought her to the funeral so she understood he wasn't coming home. After several tries of nudging him in the casket, kissing him and booping her nose to his nose to try to wake him up she realized he wasn't this time. After the funeral her behavior changed and she started marking everywhere in the house. Not knowing she was marking and bringing a puppy into the mix, made the situation alot more chaotic. My grandmas also in a wheelchair and depends on others for help. Which made things harder for her to train her puppy. After numerous phone calls, either being told it was nearly impossible to do what I needed help with or it's was gonna cost as much as giving them my first born, I nearly gave up. UNTIL.... Richard came to my rescue! When I talk to Richard for the first time, I got a sense of peace and a chance for hope. Instead of him telling me that this situation was an obstacle beyond imagination, or not possible, he took the challenge. He warned me it might take time, given the circumstances that I was pretty much putting him in and limiting what he could and couldn't do. But, he was willing to try and not charge me my first born. After the first session, we saw results that didn't seem reachable in the beginning. We've been able to break my grandpas dog from marking all over the house and the puppy's on his way to being pee pad trained. We still have more work to do but the progress so far gives the positive reassurance to keep going and not quitting. I highly recommend Richard to anyone and everyone! He's truly one of a kind

To my surprise, 120 is just enough to feed a toad for 2 weeks. Here, the small crickets are $0.09 each if you get over 60, we walked out spending just under $12. Not bad. Regarding the staff, only positivity and smiles coming from these employees. We were there close to closing time so we saw some cleaning and closing tasks being taken care of professionally. They have some lizards, snakes, amphibians, birds, gerbils, and fish, and plenty of food and accessories that you need for your pets. I was told I had to go grab the 'code' off the tag to ensure I was a member to get offer. I explained I just gave you my phone number from previous purchase and I used my member $10 reward for that previous purchase (proves I am a member) and now I am to get out of line, run to back of store to take a picture of the code on your own store's barcode tag so I can get the reward advertised? Yes, according to Christina the cashier as well as the manager, Erik that I was supposed to get out of line and go back and take a picture in order to claim. (Not like an employee or say a manager just standing there could offer a solution by getting the code himself as my previous purchase wasnt even in bags for me yet) I regrettably do so and came back and stood in line to finish transaction and made the comment "that your system is so asinine" to which Erik stated "you don't need to use that kind of language." I had to educate this older gentleman that in no way is 'asinine' a bad word or inappropriate. I asked him if he knew what it meant with no response from him and proceeded to tell him exactly what that word meant. I received no apologies from Erik for his rude comment and was stunned by his lack of inappropriate managerial actions/words. I work during the day so getting her to a pet place is usually only possible on the weekends. I visited on a Saturday which was great. Also, the PetCo in Dundee doesn't take walk-in's for nail trimming/buffing - the Algonquin location does. This will be our new PetCo home store because a walk-in nail trim service means no more listening to dog nails click on the floor while I wait for an appointment. I definitely recommend this location.
