They do not come any better than Dr. Askew. We followed here from another Clinic shortly after she…read moreopened here. She truly cares for the animals she treats and uses common sense and compassion. When we had an issue with or dogs health insurance, she immediately went to bat for us without being asked. having two large American Mastiffs (male 225 and female 170), we knew joint problems may be an issue. She could have prescribed expensive medications and shots, however heard about a glucosimine (sp?) product that she gave us a sample to try, and it has worked fabulously for the last two years and is designed for dogs yet inexpensive. We would not have known there was a difference between these products if it was not for here and her staff. She keeps the facility extremely clean and her staff is very efficient. We highly recommend.

I did not like this place at all. I have a great vet in Belvidere but I wanted something closer…read more But I am definitely going back to my vet in Belvidere. I brought my male 10 yr old cat because of his chin acne. I thought it was parasites so I had blood work done and I also brought in a fecal sample. That was 6/20. Over a week later and I still do not know either result. The vet talked very quietly and I couldn't hear her which pissed me off. She also talked directly to my daughter instead of me. It's my cat! I was there for 40 minutes. My bill was $500!!! Outrageous! The blood work was $193. I knew that but $500? I was furious by the time I got out of there. I asked her for some medicine to take home and she refused. I had to buy some on Chewy. And the end result...his chin didn't look better. Don't go here. This place is expensive and the service is horrible.

The pups are handled and socialized from very young and have been great family dogs for the kids and super protective of them!

We paid a small deposit for a chocolate lab, and were told the day to come pick him up (we had to wait about 3 weeks until he was old enough to leave mama). We emailed a few times for updates/pics, and we got immediate responses. They were very accommodating! We were in the area a couple of weeks before we were supposed to pick him up so we asked the breeder if we could meet the puppies just for fun. She was very accommodating! When we went to pick up our puppy, she had all the AKC paperwork in order and was wonderful and professional. The entire buying experience was very smooth! Judy is very nice and very professional. I just came back from the vet, and our vet said that all the vaccinations and her plan of treatment for our dog was perfect. On top of that, the puppy's nails had already been trimmed, and he had his dew claws removed when he was just a couple of days old. In terms of the puppy, we are amazed at how smart and intuitive he is! Apparently he is a classic chocolate lab. He loves to listen and perform, and he has picked up on potty training and retrieving items within days. He is now 9 weeks old, and he will ring the bell on the door to go out! This is a very smart, healthy, well bred puppy. I highly recommend this breeder!
