I have had 3 litters of stray cats in my barn this year and have trapped, let the mom's raise their kittens, spayed the mom's and found homes for all the kittens. My last mamma kitty was scheduled to be spayed with tails last Friday. A very nice lady (I wish I recalled her name) called me early Friday morning to let me know that the vet was very sick and she needed to reschedule all the appointments and would call me back to reschedule. I know they typically schedule really far out but she called me back later Fri and said they could squeeze me in on Tuesday. Tuesday morning I brought mamma kitty in. The girl at the front (again I missed her name) was so nice and welcoming and I appreciated that so much. When mamma kitty was picked up she looked great! She was clean, dry and they sent her home with an extra dose of pain meds. I appreciate them treating her so well. I know that there are some other places (I had a terrible experience elsewhere with the first 2 mom's I had spayed) that don't treat "feral" cats as kind. I say "feral" because this kitty was feral but now knows me, talks to me and let's me pet her. So again after such an awful experience elsewhere with the first 2 I really appreciate your kindness and how well this little mamma kitty was taken care of!

There are 3 things I worry about when leaving my animals behind on a trip…read more 1. Will they be taken care of? 2. Will they be comfortable? 3. Will they be okay in case of an emergency? Lauren puts all 3 of these to worries to ease. 1. Will they be taken care of?? I have never seen my dogs like another person more. She takes care of them and communicates with me if she has any worries about their behaviors, or conditions. 2. Will they be comfortable?? My line of thought might not be the same as everyone else, but I feel like my dogs are comfortable in their own space and home. The ability to leave my dogs at home and have someone either come let them out and take care of them, or stay over night with them puts me at ease. I've boarded my dogs outside of home before and they appear stressed when I come back. After having Lauren watch my dogs they don't seem to skip a beat and seem calm and happy. 3. Will they be okay in case of an emergency?? My animals are like family to me. It would wreck me with concern to know that they are hurt or in danger with me away. Lauren has been working as a vet tech for over 7 years. If there is an issue, she knows what to do, or knows who to contact to find out what to do. It makes me a lot more comfortable being away. I would recommend Lauren to anyone seeking petsitting in the Stc area.

She was and still is much loved by the staff there even though she has moved on to another position with increased responsibility. My pup was a 7-year old rescue who had recently come to live with me and had not had a very good previous life at the time I met Lauren. At about the same time she came to live with me my situation was going to require my making several trips back and forth to Colorado over the course of a few months. I investigated the quality of several boarding kennels in my area. Although most were highly recommended I came to realize that no matter the cost or recommendations, my pup was not ready nor would do well in that type of stressful environment. During a Vet visit I met Lauren. Knowing that I was looking for a professional to take care of my pup she explained that home sitting and caring for dogs was something she had done for some length of time. The Veterinarian and staff at the vet clinic highly recommended Lauren. I add that my pup fell instantly in love with Lauren during her first visit at the Vet clinic. Lauren has taken care of pup multiple times and every time I come home it is to a very happy dog who has been well cared for and most importantly....loved. Lauren loves animals. When it comes to dogs it does not matter if they are tiny or very large she loves them all and they love her. Lauren is very flexible and willing to work around your requests or your pets needs. Her background as an experienced Vet Tech is an added bonus in being able to assess needs or unusual behaviors in the pet and the necessary actions to take. Regardless of whether you have Lauren stay at your house or come in as often as you request to feed and walk your pet you will be nothing but inordinately pleased and your pet will be happy as well as non-stressed. I highly recommend Lauren to care for your pet.

One of my cats has a special diet and I am always concerned about him getting into the other cats' food, so they have a whole feeding routine, twice a day that is a bit of a performance. I was going on vacation to a rural area where communication was patchy, so was extra nervous about leaving them. After looking around, I found Jan and Bill. They were very attentive to my pets' needs, and very concerned for their wellbeing. We did a test run, to make sure the cats didn't hide when Bill came in, because we can't leave food out and their eating has to be supervised. Everything went fine. Jan and Bill took care of my pets for 10 days, responded quickly to any questions I had and were even kind enough to pick up some extra food when the supply I left ran out (oops). . Jan and Bill truly gave me peace of mind and allowed me to relax on my vacation.

I called Malta Vet today to inquire about services, and unfortunately the experience was very…read moredisappointing. Each time I have spoken with the front desk representative, the interactions have come across as rude and dismissive. Simple questions are answered with attitude, as though customers are inconveniencing the staff just by calling. During this most recent call, I was actually hung up on after addressing the representative's behavior. When I called back, I spoke with the manager, "Lizzy," and asked who her supervisor was. She replied that it was "the only doctor we have here." It was the tone and delivery of comments like that which reflect the ongoing issue with customer service at this office, the responses consistently feel snarky and unprofessional. Over time, this type of treatment gets old, especially for paying customers who are simply trying to get information or care for their pets. On top of that, the office itself had a noticeable urine smell during my visit. I hope Dr. Augustine takes a serious look at the customer service experience being provided at Malta Vet and makes improvements. Professionalism and respectful communication matter.
