A friend had suggested this coffee shop a few years ago. I had a good experience and decided to visit again. This time, I took some friends that were visiting from out of town. In my opinion, this coffee shop is one of the cutest in the city. Since it's inside of a house, it makes you feel cozy and the lowlight adds a calm relax ambience feel. I ordered the orgasmic chai, though it was really sweet, I still liked it. It was like a dessert drink for me. Hot and ideal for the cold MN weather. I do miss them serving the chai on mugs. They use disposable coffee cups now. I also ordered a cheesecake, it was really good and thick. Not too sweet, just perfect. Service was friendly, the girl that took our order was polite and even helped us decide on what to order. There were people working/studying around, I felt kind of bad having a conversation but end of the day it's a public coffee shop.

One of the best chai lattes in the twin cities! I bring a lot of friends and family here when they come to visit and they never disappoint. I really like all the different flavors of chai that they offer. My favorites are the orgasmic, mint, and lavender chais. Highly recommend the lemon chill blended drink with a pump of blackberry syrup. It adds the perfect amount of sweet and tart flavors to the drink. Overall, I really enjoy the home-y vibe and it is a really nice place to read, work, and study. Keep in mind, there is a bit of a wait since there is usually only one person working but it is sooo worth the wait!

Came into Minneapolis for the weekend and ended up stumbling upon Uncommon Grounds, and what a wonderful experience it was! Walking in, you feel invited with the warm scents of chai and pastries, the vibes are so wholesome and the decor is so classic! The owner came up to us and said hello, and our orders were quickly taken! We got the Orgasmic Chai, and it definitely lived up to its name! It was absolutely delicious. Excited to come back again to try some more of their items the next time I'm in town!

Read the reviews. The owner is an old, out of touch, elderly white man with no regard for really anything. He walked up to our table and snatched my friends Starbucks cup unexpectedly and threw it away. While he was aggressively coming towards us muttering things like "I didn't open this place up to be a free for all"...? He later comes around asking us what we are studying for and finds out our profession. Suddenly we get 2 free coffees to our table, randomly? Our words must have touched him when we checked him for being the obvious aggressor. There are no outlets in this place and the lighting is so dark, assuming to keep people out...? Out dated decor and a small menu with absolutely no substitutions. The owner definitely racially profiles patrons. I would highly suggest reading the reviews, visiting the place and then writing your own review. It's crazy spot on, FOR YEARS.

I had a lovely experience at Uncommon Grounds! It's one of the few cafes that stays open late around the area, so I chose it as a meet up spot after work with a friend that didn't feel like cocktails. The card machine was a bit slow and I was a touch disappointed they didn't have much for food/bakery options, but was excited to try the Chai. I got the large, and though it wasn't cheap, I found it to be delicious! I'd definitely come back for another. The thing I loved most, though, is the atmosphere. It was quiet, candlelit, and perfect for dates or intimate catch-ups with a friend. Or, a great place to read or write in peace. I loved the homey feel. As I was waiting for my friend to arrive, and older man who seemed to be the owner came over as he was cleaning the tables. He welcomed me and thanked me for coming, and chatted with me for a bit. This is the kind of experience you just don't get elsewhere! I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did!

The miso cortado was delicious and really stood out, and they have a great variety of specialty drinks. The service was also extremely kind and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. That said, the space didn't quite live up to the hype. The location felt a little unfinished. Minimal decor, unfinished flooring, and no truly cozy seating made it feel less like a place you'd want to settle into for a while. While they encourage people to linger and don't offer Wi-Fi (which I respect), the ambiance doesn't quite support that intention. It felt more like a quick in-and-out stop, even though that doesn't seem to be their goal. The atmosphere was chill, with vinyl records playing in the background, which was a nice touch. I just wish the overall design and seating matched that relaxed, stay-awhile vibe. Great coffee and kind staff, but the space itself didn't fully align with the experience I was hoping for.

They have a lot of super intriguing drinks that I can't wait to get back and try, but I had to have the black coffee for my first stop. They only do pour overs and mine was great. And so were the beans I took home. It's really nice to see a coffee shop that cares about their beans more than syrupy drinks. The shop itself is small but has some nice seating options. One thing to note is that they don't have WiFi so this place isn't really meant for the work from home crowd. I can't wait to get back here

I know firsthand that coffee is king in Panama, so I figured anything inspired by their incredible coffee culture had to be worth trying. I visited Curioso on an early Sunday morning and immediately found it special. Not just for its coffee, but for the ambiance, service, and overall vibe. Curioso is a large, welcoming space that's part coffee bar, part brewery. I was immediately impressed by the variety of entertainment for all ages: arcade games, pool tables, dart boards, a skee-ball machine, board games, and even claw machines. Seating options are abundant, from cozy couches to tables and high-tops. There's a toddler play area and a library filled with books for all ages. The space feels family-friendly and is warm, welcoming community gathering space for all. I noticed flyers for free community events Curioso hosts, like Sunday Morning Yoga and Tuesday Trivia nights. The service was equally warm! The barista, although managing a busy Sunday morning solo, took her time to explain coffee options, highlight weekly specials with her own recommendations, and describe the pastries in partnership with Fruit & Grain and Bagels from St. Paul Bagelry. Oat milk is the standard for all their drinks! (Which I loved) We tried two speciality lattes: the "Butter Luck Next Year" (iced) and the "Blue Ribbon Peach Pie" (hot). Both were exceptional! Strong, robust, and delicious. Alongside, we also enjoyed an "Everything" handpie and a "Blueberry Lemon Curd" pop tart. Both pastries were out of this world delicious! I loooooved this pairing. I'm a sucker for savory, so the "Everything" handpie reigned supreme for me. Although I don't have a fur-baby (yet), I would like to include that Curioso is fur-friendly. I'm looking forward to returning several more times!

I ordered one of their seasonal specials--the banana cream pie latte. It was very good. The ambiance was OK. Smaller seating area and located in a strip mall. Although my drink was good it wasn't necessarily something to write home about. I might come here again if in the area and in need of a coffee, but probably not a place I will necessarily seek out.

I think Caffetto kind of corners a market that no one else has by being open so late--most coffee shops are barely open past noon, and they're open until midnight! I've personally spent many a late night there finishing up work--it's a really cozy atmosphere, and the selection of pinball machines in the basement are the perfect study break activity. The staff are all great and even when there's a line, they get through it quick and are still able to offer great recommendations--while I usually prefer an iced green tea with no ice, I've tried the lattes, cold press, Thai coffee, and hot chocolate and have genuinely never had a bad drink here. The only thing is to make sure you watch your step if you're walking in the basement--even though it has seating and pinball and the bathroom, it's more of an unfinished space with uneven flooring and I personally rolled my ankle and fell there last year haha.

But it's great to know I have a go to coffee shop for those afternoon cravings where the decaf tastes just as delightful!
