This place is really great, it has perfect location, it is right near wrigley field. we wnt there right before the game and the area is full of proud cubs fans. ok back to the food, we started off with Sangria, i think it costs 8 dollars, it was alright, a little too much ice. the food was so good though, the thin crust roast chicken pizza was too die for, the crust was so tasty. Also the mac and cheese was really good, the cheese sauce was a lil thin but had amzing flavour. Its accompaniment was a bland coleslaw, they should have left that off of the plate. read more

Uncommon Ground - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This place is great if you are all about having the local food as part of your dining experience. I went this morning with my husband for breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised to have great service thanks to Jessica our waitress, along with very delightful, fresh coffee. I had the mushroom omelet which comes with toast and potatoes. I asked if I could have fruit instead of the potatoes and without hesitation the waitress said yes. Half of my plate was covered with banana slices and fresh berries. It was wonderful! My husband had the chilaquiles which was very tasty. It was eggs mixed with peppers, cheese, tortilla chips with sour cream on top. Everything was very tasty and we will definitely be back! read more

This is a great date night spot. I think it has something to do with the soft lighting and extensively described food options. From the look of it outside during the daytime and by the sound of the name, I'd thought it was a coffee shop. It's actually more of a high-side-of-middle range informal dining restaurant. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about all the items we asked about and ordered. They had a quaint guitar and vocals duet come in to perform some background music during the latter part of the dinner hour. The prices were higher than we had anticipated, but the food was tastefully put together. The ambiance is really inviting and comfortable, and their porch in the summertime looks like a very relaxing spot with the white Christmas lights strung from the trees overhead. read more

Some friends and I tried out Uncommon Ground for dinner and it was fantastic! We sat on their sidewalk patio and it had a wonderful ambiance, a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal in the summer. We tried a variety of things at our table: avocado tempura tacos, chili, goat cheese dip and the tomato sandwich with sweet potato fries. I must say that everything was delicious except the chili which was extremely bland. My favorites were the tempura tacos and the dip. I'd highly recommend either of them. The drink menu was great as well and we enjoyed an array of cocktails and beer - none of which disappointed. Definitely check out Uncommon Ground if you have the chance! read more

I went here for dinner and a live music show on a Friday night. The space is great- it is huge and has a great decor. (Except for the back room, which has these giant paintings of birds that state at you ominously while you eat.) I would absolutely go back for the coffee or a drink menu. The drink selection was quality, I recommend the rosemary-bourbon infused Beast of Bourbon. However the dishes I got there were not exceptionally. My partner and I ordered the sweet potato fries with goat cheese fondue, the macaroni and cheese with broccoli and sundried tomatoes, and the quinoa-stuffed delecata squash. Despite the locally -sourced and veggie-friendly options, I was not that impressed with the food. We also went for live music. Both acts were really enjoyable, but the restaurant tacked on a $7 cover charge to our bill without notifying us beforehand. They also added incorrect charge to our group tab, so we had to send the check back twice for corrections, and the gratuity was still based on the original, incorrect amount, read more

The jalapeño limeade sounded good from the description, but insure had a bite--not in a hot and peppery way, but almost tasting like spruce or some other evergreen. So that was not my favorite part of the meal. The mac and cheese was very flavorful with the addition of bacon, though very rich and filling...not that that's a bad thing if you're expecting it. The mac and cheese comes with a side of apple-coleslaw which was a very tasty addition to a normal comfort food dish. My friend said the chopped salad was missing onions and tomatoes (it did have sun-dried tomatoes though), but he liked it all the same. Uncommon Ground was a pretty good place to eat overall, especially at 10pm on a Saturday. I don't know if I would wait in the typical dinner and brunch lines for the place, even as tasty as it was. read more

What an awesome breakfast place in Chicago! After a long weekend of partying, old college friends and I looked to get together and have one last spiked beverage before heading on our ways. We were also looking for some serious grub to curb our hunger. They had a table for eight reserved for us, and one of the nicest, most knowledgeable waiters that I've met in a long time. It is amazing how much a pleasant personality can impact your experience at a restaurant. My friend and I both ordered alcoholic beverages right off the bat. Mine was the bloody Mary, and hers was an enormous bowl of latte and bourbon. Please see the pictures! Her pinkie just happened to pop up when taking her photo. We were both in heaven! My friends came later and ordered their own variations of beverages. Everyone loved their options, and some even had seconds. I ordered the mac & cheese with crispy pork belly, and it came with their homemade coleslaw. I also ordered a side of crispy home fries because the table next to me looks so good. I also thought it would be good to soak up some of that weekend fun... My friend ordered a skillet with brussels sprouts, fried egg, and hollandaise sauce. Everyone was in love with what they ordered. There was nothing that anyone would've changed. I wish I could remember in greater detail what everyone had. I can tell you that the crispy pieces of pork belly tucked into my mac & cheese was the most welcoming spoonful I had all weekend! Talk about leaving Chicago on a high note! Uncommon ground has an earthy vibe and tries to use as many sustainable products in their dishes. For my friends that are health-conscious, and those that hug the environment a little tighter than others, this was the perfect place for them. We could not rave about it enough. I cannot wait for the next trip to the city to enjoy some spiked beverages, wholesome good and healthy food, and maybe some crispy pork belly mac & cheese also! read more

We live in the neighborhood and wanted to give Uncommon Ground a try. The outside is so inviting as you can see through the windows to a lovely restaurant setting. It was a Monday night and we thought this would be a perfect time to go for dinner. We looked online for a reservation, and chose not to make one since it looked like a slow night on the Monday after St. Patrick's Day weekend. We were greeted warmly and immediately given a terrible table even thought the restaurant was mostly empty. At this point I probably could have asked for a different table, but you really want to get the experience the restaurant wants to you have when it's your first time. We make it a point to say it was our first time in the restaurant. The table was for two right at the front, and crammed up against the window. That was fine, but another party of two was inches from us, which on a busy night is expected, but the restaurant was mostly empty. I have to say, this made it difficult for pleasant dinner conversation, which was disappointing. On a good note, the beer selection is wonderful and on a Monday night is only $4. We tried the Happy Santa Porter (English style porter) which was wonderful. I had a bowl of tomato bisque soup with toasted ciabatta bread, very tasty. Dinner companion had the Reuben with sweet potato fries. The fries were excellent, the Reuben was not. The sandwich had a very small amount of corned beef and was greasy. If we go back or take family members to the restaurant, I will ask for a better table. read more

Uncommon Ground is my favorite restaurant in Chicago I love everything about Uncommon Ground. The ambiance is great! Winter finds a couple of fireplaces crackling and there are three different rooms including one with a bar. Summer brings back the fantastic outdoor eating area. They display local artists work throughout the year, and on any given night you can ask to be seated in the back to listen to some live music while you dine ($20 minimum per person for these tables isn't difficult to accomplish - Uncommon Ground doesn't qualify as cheap eats, although I wouldn't say they are astronomically expensive either). The menu is fantastic, and I've tried most that they have to offer. As other surveys have pointed out, the Sweet Potato Fries with Goat Cheese Fondue are a stand out - although I never seem to have enough cheese and order an extra helping half way through (which is an additional cost). Also raved about in other reviews, the Pumpkin Ravioli is astonishingly good, and unlike other places where I have ordered ravioli, the portion seems perfect. The best part is, they are very organic minded and buy locally, so everything is tastes fresh! Their menu has a lot of options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike! The drink menu is great too - they have a wonderful selections of tea and coffee, but they are known for their hot chocolates, as they should be! You can have them served to you in a mug or a bowl (that's right, a bowl!), and they even have a good selection of alcohol infused hot chocolate concoctions. Their brunch is also pretty great, and a lot easier to get seated at then Orange down the street. At times they have a decadent nutella stuffed french toast brioche that will make your mouth water. This is a great place for a date, and if you come on Tuesday you can enjoy their half-price bottle of wine night! read more

Oh God... I went again. We had friends in town. Ann Sather's was insanely busy... we went again. I was so not ready to give them a second try that I was anxious. It was pretty good! The waiter we had last time is still there, somehow, but we were nowhere near his section. The gal who waited on us only forgot some toast and it was corrected forgivably quickly. They got the boyfriend's order right, same boring thing. I can't find what I ordered on the website. Me and my friend split a grain pancakes with fresh fruit (peach/blueberry I think) and a scrambled eggs plate with something in them, white cheese, and potatoes. I loved the multigrain toast, but was puzzled by only getting one piece with the meal. Good save, Uncommon Ground. I'll still hesitate, but I think you have won the boyfriend back. read more

Had a really nice and casual dinner with him on a Monday. Unlike a Friday/Sat night, the place was loosely populated with patrons, enabling us to park right outside the door and to be seated in the plush chairs by the fireplace. Soon after placing the order, our appetizer Korean chili fried calamari came out and it was delicious! It was almost like a marriage of Italian fried calamari and Korean fried chicken (just the seasoning part). The bacon chicken entree was equally delicious, but I must say I would've gone for another round of the calamari if it weren't for caloric concerns. Very friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. I'm sure we'll be back for a night of live music, good java, and munches. read more

Local, sustainable food is given top notch care and lovingly presented to diners. Go early on weekends to snag an outdoor table. Great sweet and savory dishes and Intelligentsia coffee! Love, loved, loved my special eggs benedict complete with duck and some deliciously chunky unpasteurized cheese. Yum. When can I go back now for dinner? read more

I have been to Uncommon Ground four or five times. I am a huge fan! I have sat outside in the summer which is the absolute best, sat on the comfy bench by the windows and sat at a table by a cozy little fire in the winter. The atmosphere rocks! The food, drinks and service also rock. They support local farms and breweries which makes this restaurant even cooler. Yesterday, we split the sweet potato fries, and then I sald the chopped salad with chicken and spicy ranch. So delicious. My husband had the cheeseburger with cheddar with regular fries. The breakfast items also sounded great, stuffed French toast, eggs Benedict and carrot cake pancakes. I will be back to try these! read more

I had one of the best brunch entrees I've ever had at Uncommon Ground today. The english muffin "sliders" are a pair of thick english muffins, buttered up real good and toasted, and layered with fluffy scrambled eggs, sharp cheddar cheese, spinach, a piece of thick cut bacon, and roasted garlic aioli. Just wow. A rich brunch to be sure, but this sandwich is about the most perfect combination of breakfast foodstuffs to ever be put together on a sandwich. And there's two of them! Lesser appetites could easily split this brunch entree and come away satisfied. Hungry guys like myself will struggle to finish but leave quite satisfied. I can't wait to give this one another go. read more

I love this place. Definitely one of my 'go-to' spots. The food has always been fantastic and interesting, the beer menu is one of the best, and the service has always been good. My only complaint/suggestion: For the love of god, get your servers new uniforms. Those outfits do not fit the aesthetic and they are flattering on absolutely no one. read more

Awesome food, great atmosphere. Kind of makes you feel like you're in a Seattle coffee shop, but once the food comes out there's no denying this place serves a lot more than coffee. However, you should start out with a latte, as they come in cups larger than I have ever seen. Breakfast is the specialty here. Chiliquilles are out of this world good. The dinner menu also offers a ton of variety from burgers and salads to seafood and steak entrees. Sweet potato fries are a must, and my sister had these sweet tasting ravioli's with brown sugar on top and they were unreal. read more

So I should start by noting that I have only come here after a Saturday afternoon (bleachers) Cubs game. So, maybe my memory is shaky but I would like to think that my taste buds were not. Food was good. They had me at Boursin (a garlic/herb French cheese), which was on their Millman burger. My friends ordered the Mac and Cheese and pizza. All were pretty good - much better than we expected. Their menu was mostly comprised of slight twists on the classics. Seems like a lot of people complain about service but we were seated and served right away. Great place for people watching and had seating outside (summer). I would go back to this place if I was in the area, but with so many other places in the city I would not go out of my way to come here. read more

It looks like the reviews are pretty mixed with this place. I had a great time here. I sat in the music room and enjoyed a great meal while sitting back and listening to great musical talent. Korean calimari - very yummy Chopped salad - this was pretty large portion Banana bread pudding dessert - I loved it! I has ice cream on top...sooo good. The drinks were equally tasty. So after 3 drinks, 1 appetizer, 1 entree salad, 1 dessert we were actually stuffed and only out of $70 including tax and tip. read more

Went there for Sunday Brunch, Amazingly good!!!! Their distinct, organic Bloody Mary's are only $5 and very very tasty. I had their Chilaquiles, wow, they are very satisfying and they had just right amount of heat. Good move on my part. Also, one of us had their Granola Pancakes, WOW. Were those amazing, huge! and very very very good. I highly recommend making reservations for this time, as it is a popular place. read more

I thought this place was actually just some fancy-smancy coffee shop which featured above average acoustic guitar players...luckily I was way off. I ended up here twice in one weekend, the first hanging out with some cool kids I worked with while being "non-profit boy". I was only thinking we'd meet up for coffee, maybe whatever snacks they had to offer, but UC offers some great options, and the kids jumped all over it! The prices weren't outrageous so I was able to cover all of our lunch, which always works, plus the kids absolutely loved their sandwiches. I next ended up here later with a friend from Milwaukee who was celebrating her (our) birthday. She said she had never been to a place quite like UC and their drink options were incredible. Pretty cool. Since I work right by this place I think I'll actually start making it my first coffee option, instead of the over-priced trip to Starbucks. read more

We showed up here the first time for Earth Hour - they featured a special drink that I thought looked inventive and my SO was hoping he could get me extra wasted. We really just showed up to drink. Maybe to catch some live music. The bar was full when we got there. The hostess told us that the restaurant full of half empty tables was for customers ordering food ONLY. Okkkk... so we stood around waiting for a spot to open up at the bar, complicating the lives of the waiters whose path we were standing in. But the hostess didn't give us a choice, sorry waiter guys :( Eventually we saw an empty spot at the bar. Their drink list is amazing. I liked the Earth Hour drink (a vodka based drink with a cardamom syrup). I liked the Spring Cosmo. I liked the weird cucumber-absinthe drink I had after that. My SO liked his drinks and commented on how good the beer selection was. Ohhh I should mention the vodka for the bloody mary is soaked in onions, garlic, and peppers. Talk about a bite! My SO loved it. My friend that was with us from out of town drank the coffee drinks and couldn't stop raving about them until she moved up to the seasonal drinks and saw how great they were, too. The bartenders (especially Joel) were awesome and helped us stumble through the selections. The music was good, too! We've been back since, but the most food we have ordered was an appetizer - mostly we like to drink. The food looks great, though - along with a tip of the hat to Heartland Meats who we buy our beef from at the Green City Market every few weeks. We thought the prices were reasonable and we really appreciate the organic/local atmosphere of Uncommon Ground. read more

I have been here about three times now. Once in Rogers Park, twice in Wrigleyville - like Wrigleyville spot more for some reason, but that's probably b/c the other location feels so remote. Thank you Uncommon Grounds for serving my hot drinks in a giant bowl! You are awesome, I will come back next time for the meatloaf. read more

Warning: Long over due review to follow. We hit Uncommon Ground up as part of Yelp Eats 09, and I can't believe I've been so freaking lazy about posting the review. We had a stellar time. The portions were huge, they offered the fixed price menu to anyone who came in that night. My salad was delicious and I had some of the best chocolate cake in the entire world. I'm not even joking. It was so good. I fully endorse eating here. read more

I heart this place to pieces! If I could get a membership to dine here weekly and save I would in a heartbeat! I was challenged that this place would be 1 of the best brunches ever... and it delivered. 1st: I heart their vow: "to use seasonal, locally produced, family farmed & organic products whenever possible" (my stomach hearts it too) 2nd: the amazing ambiance: the wood, the fireplace and leather chairs, the cool coffee bar, this place reeks coziness.... aside from one glitch... sitting by the bench window seat when its super chilly out cuz theres a draft... but thats very minor really AND the best part of the ambiance IS the amazing canvas print photography of dilapidated barns from Troy Bart... turned me on... even inspired me to go on a photo excursion meself... leaving a meal inspired is a lovely feeling... and the fact they welcome a new artist every month gives me a motivation to gnosh here at least once a month to appreciate it! AND the next best part of the ambiance is they have musicians perform DAILY... or more like NIGHTLY...go for dinner or a drink and tune in 3rd: the delicious food... they change their menu like my underwear so it stay exciting and fresh... I even yearn for what I had before! I would be surprised if you got anything there you wouldn't like! A MUST: the winter cocoa... and split it while it's the size of a 1/2 cantaloupe! 4th: the service... friendly, smart, tactful... I was smitten I'm won over and I'm going back here as much as my wallet, or partner in crime's wallet will allow... read more

Sunday Brunch here is unbeatable. They have a great selection of dishes to choose from but I highly recommend taking whatever their special eggs Benedict of the day is. I've had 2 different ones now and both were to die for. Their coffee and drinks are also very good. I tried their dinner last night and the menu seems to be lacking something. The food was good but not quite up to my expectations especially considering the price. I'd probably go back but it's not at the top of my list for places in the area. Definitely hit this place up for brunch, you wont be disappointed. read more

I really love Uncommon Ground. I've been surprised by some of the negative/lukewarm reviews. We've brought friends to UG, and they immediately become obsessed. Brunch is great, dinner even better. The only problem with weekend brunch is that it gets crowded FAST - and there isn't a great waiting area. The macaroni and cheese is PERFECT - I don't even LIKE my macaroni and cheese that creamy, but somehow they've made it taste like a bowl of dairy heaven. Meatloaf pizza; pumpkin ravioli; sunchoke soup. The tasting menus they do for holidays are musts in my household right now (New Years Eve and Valentine's day). And they try to use local/natural/organic food when they can, which is important to me. The service is super-friendly, too! read more

I would vote between 3 1/2 and 4 stars, but with that option unavailable and no word that it will be at any time soon, let's go with 3. I think there's a difference between a place that tries to be earthy/hippie and a place that is cooler/quirkier. The food was very good. No complaints here. The jerk chicken pizza had no "jerk" spicing, but was tasty all the same. And the Mediterranean trio plate was flavorful as well, even though I don't eat olives the hummus and eggplant spreads were good. The pitas were a little too greasy though. Here's where my review loses points. If you want a cocktail, would you prefer yours with violet liqueur, candied hibiscus flower, elderflower nectar, or homemade all-spice liquor? Well I didn't, and the friend I was with said she and some of her friends had recently braved ordering and trying some of the above (as well as other strange/funky drinks) and ended up sending most back! We're not ladies to send back drinks. Just too weird for me. The brunch menu looks good, but if you see any of my other reviews where I can never seem to make brunch happen, well that's just wishful thinking on my part. read more

Nothing special. Decided to stop in here on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy but not super crowded. You can get the same type of coffee from any other place in Chicago, so it's not like the menu is super inventive. The cool art work on the walls adds a different dimension to Uncommon Ground that you won't find anywhere else. We sat in the back area, and it was less than desirable. It would of been better had we sat in the front (i think). Will give it another fair chance though. read more

I've seen this place a couple of times and have always heard that they had great brunch. However, I wasn't here for brunch for my Uncommon Ground experience. Instead, I came here for lunch one day. Upon entering, I seriously thought I would hate the "wholesomeness" of the place. Since I wanted to eat healthy that day, I decided on the veggie burger with sweet potato fries -- alright not that healthy. Service was pretty fast and the staff were way friendly. After the first bite of my veggie burger, I was in love. I could taste the cheese, grains and bits of mushroom ooze out of that sucker. It was a super flavorful burger. Who needs cow when you've got rice! read more

I should have went with my gut and got coffee, but I went with a Chai Tea and it was SO sweet. All I could taste was the vanilla flavoring. However, my friend loved her coffee...I was so envious of her. We also each ordered a small sunshine salad (I think that's the name) and it was delicious. It had a great vinegarette on it, along with sunflower seeds, avocado, cucumbers, green peppers and mixed greens. Very fresh and tasty. I really want to go back to try out some of their other menu items...and a coffee! read more

This is going to be a very hard review for me to write. Not because of anything negative, but because I don't go here as much as I did in the past. Before we got married, my husband lived around the corner and we went here almost every weekend for brunch and for dinner on occasion. So, bear with me! I really like this place a ton. Teas & coffees: great selection, interesting drinks Breakfast burrito - how can you go wrong here? so good. Omelets - usually good, I always get what's on the special Bloody marys - pretty darn good Wine list - awesome, and half price bottles on tues or wed, I think Helen's chicken sandwich - the stuff dreams are made of The atmosphere is cute and service is always friendly! read more

First thing that comes to mind is that I will be back. I'd been wanting to try this place out for a long time, and was very happy when I finally did. I visited here for brunch the other weekend and had a great meal. We didn't have to wait for a table, but I think we got there in the nick of time because it started to fill up shortly after we sat down. Secondly, their bloody mary's are very good. Always tastes a little better when you know the ingredients are home grown. I believe they were on special as well, which rocks for a Saturday. Our server was also very attentive and helpful when deciding between all the amazing brunch options. I had the veggie benedict, which was great. Wasn't a huge fan of the cheesy (gouda? Bechemal? Don't remember) hollaindaise sauce (as opposed to just the egg and butter), it was very strong and I think over-powered the dish. The veggies were great and so were the potatoes. I was between a bunch of different options before ordering so I will definitely be back to try out other dishes. My bf had the huevos uncommon I think. Either way, he loved it. Literally almost licked the plate clean. Definitely support what they do here (they grow the ingredients on the roof! At the other location..I think) and will be back because of it and because of the great food. Hopefully other restaurants can follow in Uncommon Grounds footsteps! read more

It was morning time, starving from sleep, and the lovely girlfriend had convinced me to try this place, even though we were on our way to my favorite cafe. First thing I said when I walked in: Geez, those paintings are so out of place. They had these brightly colored paintings by an artist named Michele. I liked the photo, though, above the fireplace. The wife status on the other hand? First words out of her mouth: "Love...I think bad things happen here at night." HAHA. She meant drinking and picking up ladies. Not sure what made her say that. Maybe the big bar area in the middle of the room? Anyhow, I ordered the sugar n' spice. It was quite the bomb.com. With an order of brioche french toast...which was great, as well, but for how tiny of a plate it is? Not worth 10 bucks. I ordered an english muffin to try to fill in this stomach of mine. Nomnom. The wife ordered a plate of breakfast melt. It looked amazing...and definitely had more food on it than mine did. The potatoes on the side were amazing. I'm not a fan of bacon so I didn't try the rest. Overall, the food was good. I just wish there was more for the price. read more

Read the website before you go on all of the ways Uncommon Ground is focused on maintaining a eco-friendly, local & organic environment. I think it made me appreciate the food / atmosphere that much more. The menu changes seasonally and I'd definitely come back for the summer fare. The server knew all of the gluten free options off the top of his head which was reassuring so I had bacon crusted chicken with cheese-y mashed potatoes, broccoli and a side of bbq sauce. Not very innovative but tasty none the less. The 22oz bottle of Organic JK Skrumpys Cider for $12 isn't bad. Typically its $8 at Whole Foods. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with Uncommon Ground. The Love: First and foremost, everything I've ever eaten here has been nothing less than spectacular. So, with the leaves changing and after a nearly nine month hiatus, I returned last Friday. For some reason- be it the cozy atmosphere, or the absolutely incredible pumpkin ravioli- I always get a hankering for Uncommon Ground this time of year. So, following a showing of Psycho at the Music Box down the way (best theater ever! BTW) the hubby and I made our way towards Clark and, seeing all the people enjoying a beautiful fall night al fresco, decided to stop in for a bite to eat and a drink. And just like every autumn before, I ordered the pumpkin ravioli: perfectly cooked pasta stuffed with pumpkin and spices and smothered in a creamy sauce and gorgonzola cheese. De-freaking-licious! The boy ordered the duck- which he devoured, along with several stolen raviolis from my plate. Grounds for divorce? Possibly... We washed it all down with some harvest ale, and capped off the night with the s'mores tart. Now THIS is comfort food. The Hate: But wait? The check. Seventy freaking dollars for two entrees, two beers and a dessert?! Um, excuse me? It amazes me that I seem to give myself amnesia every single time I come back here; like I don't remember that the food, while wonderful, is fantastically overpriced. Isn't cooking ingredients "in season" suppose to cut down on costs? If it weren't for the prices, I'd be here every weekend. Alas, I am a slave to low wages, and so am forced to pass by more often than not, stealing glances at the food on other peoples plates. First person to steal their ravioli recipe for me will get my soul, and my firstborn. read more

I've only been for brunch, but it's always been delicious and fresh. The drinks are great- lots of options w/and without booze. Today I got to sit on the sidewalk patio, which was great for people watching and quieter than you'd expect- being so close to Wrigley. Another plus, they grow their own produce (what they can) and support/use local farms. read more

I visited tonight, and the food was delicious. My friend and I decided to share their mac and cheese with their fried green tomato sandwich, both of which are amazingly magnificent. The Mac and Cheese was better than what I expected for a mac and cheese, and the tomato sandwich, one of the best I've ever had in my entire life. To be honest though, it is great that they are supporting local vendors and all that jazz with organic ingredients, but honestly, some things on the menu are totally overpriced. If you're looking for a casual bite, this is not the place. Go here if you have an adventurous palete that day. Drinks here are pretty much off the hook, but once again, slightly overpriced. Go here if you want to try new things. read more

Good place! The food was great & the portion sizes were perfect. Loved the vibe and two different fireplaces. Each has its own unique comfy friendly feel. Everyone I talked with (staff) felt genuine and friendly. The food was over the top great this is why you go out. Extra small unique touches on every dish was very nice. I was disappointed by the dried out 3" apple tart dessert, way to small for the cost. Dude are you kidding me? Saw a top show for $10 worth three times the price. Great sound not blasted loud like so many other places. Very well managed. Hope to go back on a cold night. The coffee drinks are numerous and very unique too read more
