We weren't greeted by a host/hostess and I'm pretty sure the guy who finally sat us after 10 minutes of waiting, was a server or busboy. Our waitress brought us chips, salsa and drinks and took our order. We never saw her again. Of course, there was a food runner which were used to, but our waitress never showed up again. Our drinks sat empty for a long time until my husband finally got up to go to the host stand to ask for water and for a manager where he explained our food had gotten cold while waiting for a refill. She did take off half the bill, but unfortunately it still happened. I'd like to also mention our server wasn't busy. Her section wasn't full. I think maybe one other table was there. As we were paying she did resurface to the neighboring table, but we were ignored. We left hungry and with a promise will never return. My wife and I came here after we had been lounging by the pool all afternoon. She received some bad news and was stuck in her head a bit. So instead of cooking we made the great choice to head over to Uncle Julio's. Nothing like a margarita on the rocks, chips salsa and shredded chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce to cheer you up. Oh man was this the right choice that night. The food was great and the drinks were cold. The real star of our night was our server Anaid. She was so kind and sympathetic. Anaid has the gift of empathy and her positive energy truly helped brighten my wife's spirit. Thank you Anaid. It's a super hot day over 100 degrees and the only thing to cool us is a soft serve swirl margarita that only Uncle Julio's can offer. Our server Jackie greeted us with a smile and warm hello. Ok uncle Julio's used to be my go to fajitas. They were always cooked perfect and very flavorful and tender. Not to mention the service level was always great and the place was well kept and clean. We came in yesterday on a random Monday around 5pm. Place was mostly empty. We were seated quickly noticing several in bussed tables. After seating, we did get chips and salsa fairly fast. We then noticed only one server taking orders but they never came over. We waited about 10 minutes and finally a very nice lady came and asked us if we had been helped. She was very nice and apologetic for our wait. Ok now the fajitas. Whoever was making the tortillas obviously had very little experience as they were the size of a coaster. The fajitas came out barely warm and appear to have been under a heat lamp for a bit. They meat was really fatty and difficult to chew through with no searing. Basic grey color and over cooked meat. This is the second time at this location where the quality of the food was dramatically sub par. The only thing that was good was the beans and rice and the drinks. The management really needs to take a hard look at staffing, cleanliness and managing the quality of what they are serving customers. Great experience. Food was great and the waitress was nice. We had a large party of 9. The waitress checked in as needed and was very nice to everyone. Even though we had a larger party, they did not add gratuity to the check, which was a huge plus. There was a great buy one get one fajita deal on the night we went (Tuesday) and they also had a great taco deal for 2 or more people. We had churros for desert and they were amazing. They had filling in the middle and came with caramel and chocolate to dip in, plus, there were a lot of them. Only complaints are that I asked for no onions and there were a ton in my fajita bowl. Also, the price of the fajita bowl was $17 and that seems like a bit much to me. They had a pretty pricey menu. read more

Tried calling today - 4 times with no answer - so walked into the restaurant to try to place an order for pickup on Saturday. The manager informed my husband that they don't do schedule ahead orders, which I found very strange, because when you order online it does allow you to place the order and choose the day you'd like to pick up. I don't know if this was a case of just not wanting to or what, but I understand why this location only has 2 stars. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant in my entire life. I made a reservation for an early Mother's Day dinner for my wife and my daughter. They chose Uncle Julio's because they love Mexican food and in the past the service and food have been decent. WOW WAS THIS HORRIBLE. My family of 10 got sat pretty much right away. Then we proceeded to wait about 10 minutes for our waitress who took our orders and brought out waters. We ordered 3 alcoholic drinks, and water and sodas for the rest of my family. 30 minutes later I asked the waitress when our drinks would be out. She shrugged her shoulders and said "I'm not sure everyone's behind" we decided to order sides and our meals at the same time since the kitchen was obviously behind. About 20 minutes later one of our appetizers came out. But the Guacamole was missing. We waited another 10 minutes and the waitress came by with our drinks and I cancelled the guacamole. TIME PASSES... 90 MINUTES WE WAITED FOR OUR MEALS. my grandkids were tired, everyone was tired and hungry so I went up to the counter and asked for the manager. I told the manager that I wanted to cash out my drinks and appetizers and we were leaving! She apologized and said she would bring the bill right away. SHE NEVER CAME BACK!!! I told my family to go to In-n- Out and I would stay back and wait for the bill. Still no bill. So I ended up walking out. This was insanely bad service. not sure where to begin...waiting almost 2 hours for our food, then half of us didn't receive the correct items, i never received mine and the rest was all cold. We asked a couple times to speak to manager - finally worked it out to leave our waiter a gratuity (felt so bad for the wait staff) and leave without paying for our terrible and missing food. The service here is consistently terrible. We started just only ordering it to go, because the food is decent. Now even that is a miss. Tonight I waited 15 minutes in the lobby before any staff acknowledged my presence. I ended up just going to the back to grab a worker after just getting fed up waiting without any help. Last time we were here my toddler was choking on a chip and I had to carry him and rush to the bar for a water because the staff had taken so long just to bring us drinks. My friend warned me it's not the same. I used to really like it but it has gone downhill. Last togo order there was no tortillas with my fajita order. They made it right. Great! Tonight no rice and beans, brown guac and gray steak. Called and they said they would fix it, husband showed up and they said they checked the order nothing they can do. But gray steak is not med rare. There were no rice and beans. And make your own guac unless you want it brown. So disappointed. Their competitor will get my business from now on. I'm beyond words to describe how special they both made us feel and also how the staff checked in to make sure everything was great. The ambience, hospitality, and tranquility was wonderful. So glad we chose to eat here and we are very thankful for the excellent service that both Jolexis and Alecia provided. Food was delicious as well.
