We weren't greeted by a host/hostess and I'm pretty sure the guy who finally sat us after 10 minutes of waiting, was a server or busboy. Our waitress brought us chips, salsa and drinks and took our order. We never saw her again. Of course, there was a food runner which were used to, but our waitress never showed up again. Our drinks sat empty for a long time until my husband finally got up to go to the host stand to ask for water and for a manager where he explained our food had gotten cold while waiting for a refill. She did take off half the bill, but unfortunately it still happened. I'd like to also mention our server wasn't busy. Her section wasn't full. I think maybe one other table was there. As we were paying she did resurface to the neighboring table, but we were ignored. We left hungry and with a promise will never return. not sure where to begin...waiting almost 2 hours for our food, then half of us didn't receive the correct items, i never received mine and the rest was all cold. We asked a couple times to speak to manager - finally worked it out to leave our waiter a gratuity (felt so bad for the wait staff) and leave without paying for our terrible and missing food. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant in my entire life. I made a reservation for an early Mother's Day dinner for my wife and my daughter. They chose Uncle Julio's because they love Mexican food and in the past the service and food have been decent. WOW WAS THIS HORRIBLE. My family of 10 got sat pretty much right away. Then we proceeded to wait about 10 minutes for our waitress who took our orders and brought out waters. We ordered 3 alcoholic drinks, and water and sodas for the rest of my family. 30 minutes later I asked the waitress when our drinks would be out. She shrugged her shoulders and said "I'm not sure everyone's behind" we decided to order sides and our meals at the same time since the kitchen was obviously behind. About 20 minutes later one of our appetizers came out. But the Guacamole was missing. We waited another 10 minutes and the waitress came by with our drinks and I cancelled the guacamole. TIME PASSES... 90 MINUTES WE WAITED FOR OUR MEALS. my grandkids were tired, everyone was tired and hungry so I went up to the counter and asked for the manager. I told the manager that I wanted to cash out my drinks and appetizers and we were leaving! She apologized and said she would bring the bill right away. SHE NEVER CAME BACK!!! Ok uncle Julio's used to be my go to fajitas. They were always cooked perfect and very flavorful and tender. Not to mention the service level was always great and the place was well kept and clean. We came in yesterday on a random Monday around 5pm. Place was mostly empty. We were seated quickly noticing several in bussed tables. After seating, we did get chips and salsa fairly fast. We then noticed only one server taking orders but they never came over. We waited about 10 minutes and finally a very nice lady came and asked us if we had been helped. She was very nice and apologetic for our wait. Ok now the fajitas. Whoever was making the tortillas obviously had very little experience as they were the size of a coaster. The fajitas came out barely warm and appear to have been under a heat lamp for a bit. They meat was really fatty and difficult to chew through with no searing. Basic grey color and over cooked meat. This is the second time at this location where the quality of the food was dramatically sub par. The only thing that was good was the beans and rice and the drinks. The management really needs to take a hard look at staffing, cleanliness and managing the quality of what they are serving customers. Great experience. Food was great and the waitress was nice. We had a large party of 9. The waitress checked in as needed and was very nice to everyone. Even though we had a larger party, they did not add gratuity to the check, which was a huge plus. There was a great buy one get one fajita deal on the night we went (Tuesday) and they also had a great taco deal for 2 or more people. We had churros for desert and they were amazing. They had filling in the middle and came with caramel and chocolate to dip in, plus, there were a lot of them. Only complaints are that I asked for no onions and there were a ton in my fajita bowl. Drinks took 20 minutes to receive and ice had already mostly melted. Chips and salsa weren't refilled. Had to request silverware and water. Food order incorrect and missing side items ordered. Took 20 minutes to pay bill once it was received and one bill was incorrect. Food wasn't hot and the entire experience was a disappointment. I read the reviews and had even talked to my friends who have visited this location before in regards to what they ordered. Based off of that I was excited to try the fajitas and table salsa. The salsa that was served while we waited for our food was incredible! It had a fresh smoky flavor that makes you want to devour the whole bowl yourself. Even the chips tasted freshly made. I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas dairy-free (no sour cream/Mexican butter/cheese) and they happily obliged! My food tasted delicious and I even rolled my meat into a freshly made tortilla and dipped into my table salsa. YUM! The guacamole was very tasty, they gave me extra since I didn't get to have any of the dairy. That was above and beyond, nobody does that!! The service was top-notch. During our most recent visit, two entrees were at order: Camarones Diablo and Carne Asada. To give you an idea how inflation has struck our economy, I remember when Carne Asada cost $14.99.
