Dry quasadilla..rice had no extra bits such as peppers or onion. Too much cotija on Quesadilla...what a big letdown

Uncle Julio is no longer family. Why would a family member turn his back on us? Now to be fair, " Jay" our server was new but at some point maybe a member of management could help. Apps came out, half way through the apps, mains showed up. No follow up for drinks, waited 17 min to receive the bill for food that was overpriced and bland, uncreative and forgettable. Come on Julio, put in a little effort for the family. Unfortunately, I am looking for a new mexican influenced Uncle figure who appreciates family get togethers!

We had a wonderful afternoon visit at Uncle Julio's. We arrived in time for the happy hour special -- only available at the bar -- and enjoyed margaritas. We then split the tortilla soup and chicken fajitas. The soup had a phenomenal flavor and was just the right amount of spicy. The fajitas are my go to at Mexican restaurants and the ones here do not disappoint. Well cooked and great taste!

We picked this place for cinco de mayo because you could make a reservation. The place was very busy when we got there. I ordered a regular margarita and my sister got a Paloma. The drinks took a while but you could see they were busy. We really liked the salsa that came with chips. I think it was a black bean salsa. My sister's steak quesadilla was delicious. I got their special that was a different take on chile rellenos, chile puebra. They were deep fried. They were decent but incredibly hot when first buying into it. I wouldn't make this my go to Mexican restaurant but if needing to accommodate a group of heading to a suburb, I'd go back.

The ambience of the restaurant was really nice on the outside as well as the inside. Our waitress was very friendly however we had to keep reminding her to bring certain items for example water and our rice/beans with the meal. When it comes to our meals, it was not all that great. The flavor was not there. The rice was hard and crunchy. The queso cheese was not good at all. Overall this is not a restaurant that I would visit again.

Terrific experience. Went at 5:45pm on Sunday, July 5th and it was mostly empty at that time. I ordered the steak fajitas and they were incredibly tender and well seasoned.

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch with my friends. Our waitress was lovely and provided great service! We ordered some non-alcoholic watermelon margaritas and they were delicious! The table-side guac was fresh and tasty but the chips were a bit too thin and kept breaking in the bowl. We ordered a variety of main dishes. I really liked my shrimp fajitas, but the rice and beans were only ok. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming.

I was visiting Milwaukee and I was looking forward tk some good food. I made the decision to go to this restaurant and boy was that the wrong decision. The service was ok, and the ambiance was too dark and a little weird. But speaking about the food it was a very bad experience. Starting with the salsa, there was not much flavor, I asked for something spicy and they brought the same salsa. I got the quesa birria, and my co worker got the barbacoa tacos. It was very disappointing that they both had the exact same meat when they were clearly different dishes. However the consome with my dish was so salty that it was inedible. I then took a bite of the quesadilla and it was also inedible. My co worker took a bite of her Taco was also stated that it was so salty it was inedible. By far the worst dish of food I have ever had at any restaurants in over 20 different states. I would not recommend this place at all. It is sad that the customer is the last taste taster, because I am sure that no one tried the console before I got to our table. Very disappointing

It smells amazing. I came in and ordered take out. There were a couple of tables occupied, and they let me sit at a table and offered me a drink while I looked at the menu. I got water and a refill while I was there -- super nice since I had come from the gym. The food was packaged well, and it was warm when I got back to my place. Everything was flavorful. I tried a few things. I was told that 3 empanadas usually suffice for dinner. I wanted to try 1 and tacos. Both were amazing. The provoleta (melted provolone with bread) was very good. And I had no idea flan was always missing dulce de leche this entire time. It brought flan up a notch, and I love flan. I will definitely be back to try more things. The steaks sounded amazing, and I want to try more of the empanadas. I had the Beef Argentine empanada. I loved how flavorful it was, and their chimichurri was delicious.

Followed by the Lengua tacos. WOW. Of course you have to try the Quesabirria Tacos w/consume. Dynamite! My wife always gets the chicken enchilada in salsa roja, my daughter a quesadilla (she boring). Jalisco has the BEST sides of rice and beans I've ever had in a Mexican establishment, great flavors and respect for the ingredients and cooking process so everything shines through. They have Elote too, not quite the traditional way but damn I can't stop eating it! I've tried almost the whole menu; the lomo en salsa de arbol, carne asada, chile rellenos, bistec à la mexicana, gorditas w/carnitas & chorizo. I could eat here everyday! It's a cute little place with great service. Recently I caught some World Cup action while we waited. Different beers and sodas (Modelo, Jarritos) are available, as well as fresh guacamole and pico de gallo. They make a spicy taco salsa that's the right amount of heat and flavor. Just went there yesterday, 3/23/26, as it is one of my regular choices for good local Mexican food…read more I feel pretty certain they made some improvements to their food. First, the salsa and chips were improved. The salsa, both mild and medium, had a very fresh taste to them. I was impressed by the chunky medium salsa the most. Secondly, their accompanying chips were darker and thicker. They also had a distinct roasted corn flavor which went well with the salsa. Neither the salsa or the chips were drowned out by the other. The thicker chip stood up to the rigorous dipping I gave each one. Third, the refried beans they served with my chimichanga dinner were above the average pale looking serving. They were darker and nicely seasoned. I'd go back again just for them. I wish they served a little dish with these beans along with the salsa and chips. Fourth, only a one star demerit for their saggy bottom bench seats in my booth. Fifth, thank you for having hot water in the very clean Men's room for washing my hands.

There was music playing but a soccer match playing in the bar was plenty loud in the dining room and drown out the background music. The small house margarita starts at $8.50 and we both got one to see how they were. The size was larger than I thought it'd be at least. We also got a small basket of chips and a small cup of salsa. Not great but we still ate them because we were starving. We ordered tacos and they came out within about 5 minutes. The plates were cold, as well as the rice, and the beans were lukewarm. The tacos were hot at least. The barbacoa tacos ($16.99) were dry and didn't come with lime wedges, extra salsa, nothing. They were so dry that the single corn tortillas split pretty quickly. The pastor tacos ($16.49) weren't bad but no pineapple to be seen. The portions were okay but the food was not worth the price we paid. The weirdest part was when we got our check. None of the prices matched the menu and they also charged more for using a card. Don't appreciate the inaccurate prices and didn't see anything on the menu about being charged differently than what was posted. Our server seemed nice but it wasn't enough to make up for the weird space, lukewarm food, and overall disappointing experience. Will not go back.
