Since moving to the suburbs, I have struggled to find good Mexican food. I tried Señor Luna not too long ago and would say it's potentially the best in the area that I've tried so far. The service was very fast - almost to the point where you feel a little bit rushed. The ambience is pretty relaxed and definitely family friendly. It is definitely not authentic, but worth a try. I ordered a burrito and thought that getting queso with it meant it would be inside the burrito or on the side. I did not realize the entire thing would be drenched. The queso tasted a little too much like Velveeta for my liking. I ended up just eating all the filling of the burrito, which was actually pretty good. The corn did not have much flavor. The onion rings were crispy - a little bit of a weird side to offer, but I figured I'd try them. I will probably come back to try some of their other food, but understanding it's not the most authentic place. read more

I am writing this review as I eat my leftovers from last night. Yes, the servings are big so you will be well sated. First time customers, and the weather was nice, so the outdoor tables were open. However, we sat inside to get an idea of the entire place. It's cute, seats lots, and has a large bar area. There are lots of different-sized tables so that's great for as many friends to want to go with. Our server, Gemma, was really good and did a great job because the menu is HUGE! To start, the blended house margaritas were really good with many flavors to choose from. The drink menu alone is extensive. We ordered Steak Tacos, which filled the plate. The two sides that come with it are also plentiful. The steak did not have much flavor, as I had expected. The cheese was well hidden, too. I found them a bit bland, and they are the same this morning. However, the Ground Beef Quesadillas were spectacular! The 1/2 portion is huge, and thankfully Gemma told us so before we ordered a full order. The beef was seasoned so well, and the order was overflowing the plate. All in all we were satisfied, and I know to order the ground beef next time. But the place serves lots of options, and the tables turn over quickly so it must have a nice following. Last night we had a large party for a 60th birthday. The food and drinks where delicious as always. Especially the seafood enchilada and mango margarita!! Our server, Madison, was absolutely outstanding. She handled our party of 22 like a pro. Everything went like clockwork and she was attentive, anticipatory and really friendly. She is a TRUE asset to your restaurant. Especially because she handled it all by herself!! The food runner was also courteous and efficient, quickly getting everyone their dishes. And the fact that your kitchen can get that many orders spot on, without error, and out all at once is amazing. Our running group loves your restaurant so much. Our go - to Mexican place! The service is always phenomenal. The food is always delicious. I've tried everything from their burritos to quesadillas to fajitas, and honestly have never had something I didn't enjoy! One of my favorite items on the menu is the queso + chorizo - SO GOOD. And the margs (especially the watermelon jalapeño one) are so good. If the weather is nice enough, sitting on the patio is the best spot to be! I was craving shrimp tacos so I started looking at menus at Mexican restaurants and I found this one, I wanted a combination taco dinner plate because I didn't want all shrimp tacos and a couple others and they have a mix and match taco plate so stopped by for lunch. The place doesn't look like a Mexican restaurant at all and it's probably been a few different restaurants in it's life. They have an outdoor seating area on the side porch for nice days. The inside is ok with a nice bar, nothing upscale and the place doesn't look like a Mexican restaurant at all except for some decorations, it actually looks like what the bbq places do which is metal walls and exposed brick with booths and hi tables. I was given chips and salsa and it's nice that he didn't give me a big basket of chips to just throw away because I never fill up on them. The salsa was not chunky at all and loose but it had some heat and a nice cilantro flavor. I ordered a strawberry margarita which came in a pint glass that was not very strawberry tasting or any alcohol taste either that was blended poorly with big chunks of ice that instantly clogged the straw and made it very difficult to drink. My taco dinner plate looked good with a side of beans and rice with a dollop of sour cream. The rice and beans were ok because I mix them together and top with the salsa because that's what I do. The Asada and Al pastor meat was very average and not seasoned at all. The shrimp taco was breaded clusters and deep fried with a thick coating with not a lot of shrimp flavor that I was craving topped with a slaw which was ok. Overall my food was very average and not authentic like Americanized Mexican food to appeal to everyone. read more

We had dinner there and the credit card machine wasn't working, we were asked to get money from an ATM. I said we would get charged a fee for that. The waitress then tried our card again. Still didn't work so it was entered manually. We have now been charged for four separate meals. My wife called and was told she would need to physically go there with a receipt or nothing could be done. My wife pointed out she had her bank statement open and could tell her the amounts, the time and the credit card number. She was rudely told there was nothing that could be done unless she came in with her credit card and receipt. We will be filing a dispute with the bank and won't be returning. read more

Great local bar and restaurant with great food and a wonderful staff. As the place's reputation grows, it's crowd of regulars grows as well. The reason is quality selection and consistent execution. This updated review was inspired by the fish fry. I wasn't sure what to expect (you know, Mexican cantinas aren't necessarily synonymous with Friday fish fry lol).... But I can tell you I was very happy with my cod. Clearly freshly battered and fried to order, it was quite good. But the potato pancakes- wow were they good. I ordered tacos for 50 for a work event. Pricing was competitive and they delivered everything and setup in the party area exactly on time. The people who did the setup were friendly and professional. My associates loved everything, especially the rice and beans. Generous servings, I wasn't afraid of us running out of anything. We had half beef and half chicken, and everything was excellent. Very pleased and will be using again, and going to the restaurant on my own in the future! Just meh. Definitely not my go-to for Mexican in the area but it serves the purpose in a pinch. In the summer they've got a great patio which is perfect for chips and margaritas. Where they lack is in their eats. I haven't tried any red meat offerings, but the chicken (fajitas) seems to be frozen and lacking in flavor. Yeah, I should have mentioned it up on my last visit but we were starving and would have eaten anything brought to the table. We went for lunch and we all enjoyed the food. The appetizer platter was very good as were the wings. Enchiladas and burrito were great as well. Our server, Brandon did an excellent job. He was quick to bring drinks, different sauces and to go boxes. It took a bit to get the bill paid, but he was really busy with other customers. The food was not gross or anything but it was the worst Mexican food I've ever had from a restaurant. Ever. QDoba and Chipotle are miles ahead in taste. The 'fajita' portion was small compared to any other restaurant I've been, but that was fine because the steak was chewy, stringy and covered in a thick syrupy glaze that tasted like it was straight off the McCormick shelf. Rice had no flavor at all and black beans were microwaved. Service was poor even though they were not busy on a Saturday night. And though I appreciate that the bartender took the time to seat us and take our order I did not like waiting for 10 minutes for another beer while she went back to bartending when the rest of the joint was empty. read more

We thought we would try a New Mexican restaurant. We went on a Friday night at 7pm. There was only one other table occupied in the whole restaurant. That should of been my first clue lol it looks like they are doing a complete remodel. The bar was shut down and building supplies all over. The waitress came over and stated right away that because of covid chips and salsa was going to be $3.95 and water was 1.00! We had already ordered a couple of alcoholic drinks otherwise I would of left. I mean it's a Mexican restaurant and prices were not cheap. The chicken fajitas were $22! You would think that they could give out .50 cent chips and salsa and water. The waitress noticed that we were going to leave so did bring out the chips for free she said I felt bad after that so we stayed to give it a chance. . I ordered a taco salad and the ground beef was cold when she brought it out. I thought my husbands burrito was ok but that's it. No I would never ever go back.
