My kid at his (and ours) fav brunch place. Jorge & staff were all dressed up for Halloween!

The staff here making brunch Halloween special. The crew here is just special. Thank you

Hash browns with corned beef hash. Crepes with lingonberry butter, Belgium waffle, etc.

Absolutely amazing breakfast. Best I've had in a long time. The crepes, waffle, hashbrowns, etc were all delicious and perfectly cooked. I'm actually so used to getting burnt pieces on greasy hashbrowns that when I got these perfectly cooked and dry ones I was amazed. Fast service, though it gets busy so can get loud. Absolutely will be back. I wanted to go back the next day. Lol

Uncle John's Pancake House...What a Fantastic Five Star Breakfast Restaurant ...We are all Sitting outside on a beautiful Saturday Morning in Campbell, with my family from Redwood City. This is my first time here. Cool music piped outside. Love it! Great inside restaurant with so many table choices and bar seating too! Old fashioned looking but new. This is a very popular breakfast destination. I am having the Swedish Crepes with Lingonbery butter, powered sugar & lemons. My Family is having pancakes. Service is outstanding and the food is delicious. This is a Five Star Breakfast Experience. Check out Uncle John's in Campbell or The Alameda in San Jose. Bring your family like I did! Enjoy! Randomly looking for a breakfast spot to go to Sunday morning. Came across this gem. The food was great, the service was good. The atmosphere was even better! They were also playing Sunday morning football so extra brownie points for Uncle John!!

I've come here a few times, and it is consistently delicious! There is plenty of seating, and parking on the street and back of the restaurant, which is a plus. The servers are always friendly & talkative. They always greet, and get your order in quickly. The restaruant is well lit and always clean, It's a nice place to eat.

Service was extremely disappointing and food was mid! Was excited to try this place before a long day of activities and their pancakes to waffles looked amazing. Upon arriving parking was very hectic, it's a small lot behind so you might need to try to park across the street or in the neighborhood. There wasn't a long wait but we got seated outside in front of the karate business next door. Big mistake because the waitress barely came over to check on us and it was hard to flag her down. We all got a griddle item with eggs, sausage and hash browns except we all got different griddle items. The waffle and french toast were okay, very average and was simple. Same for the eggs, sausage and hash browns. Just okay but I think I liked the sausage the most.

Had a delicious meal here, loved the cleanliness, chill ambiance, delicious food. I dont know why but we struggled to have anyone serve us. We got our water and our food and then were completely ignored. Had to wave down someone other than our waiter for water, more coffee, even our check. Not once did we get a top up on coffee, water, or literally anything without having to wave someone down (not our waiter, who never came). I wanted more napkins but was too frustrated to have to call someone. I just used my dirty napkin. I wanted more water so I poured some from my daughter's cup. I had to ask someone for coffee because I cant generate that on my own. This was a weekday. There were people, not empty, but less than half packed. I could see all the people but not our waiter. But when it came time to pay and tip, which I had to ask someone else for, she magically appeared and had a great big smile. Tip time! Ugh. Other than that, meal was fantastic. Corned beef hash delicious. Pancake with blueberry. Awesome. Wait staff? Please. It feels like you are trying to make me not want to come back. Which i probably won't. 4 stars for food. 1 for service.

Hung out with friends for brunch. All together it was 4 adults and 2 kids. Overall decor was decent and they had a good amount of tables. But if you are in a large group, you most likely will be split into different tables. I would say 6 would be max group. The reason I took one star is for the fact that the tables are so compact that it was hard to maneuver out like if you had to go to the bathroom. You are almost squeezing through just to get out. The food is good. I got the corned beef hash with eggs and a Swedish pancake. Super yummy. The Swedish pancake butter is really good. Next time I'll have to try the blueberry pancakes as that was recommended. The service was quick. We ordered and shortly after we got our food. The waitress stopped by and asked how everything was. I wouldn't say they went above and beyond but they did their job. Overall a good experience and I'd go back again.

The waffle was delicious. The fresh blueberry and cream toppings were excellent. However, the rest of the food items were mediocre for their prices. Service was pretty good. We joined the wait-list through Yelp and when we arrived, we were seated immediately. The diner is furnished nostalgically like a low rider. It's very pleasant to be inside.

MEAT LOVERS

My number one brunch place in the Bay Area, hands down! The omelette soufflé is delicious: it comes with either skillet potatoes, or hash browns, as well as your choice of pancakes or toast. Everything tastes so good; you can't go wrong here. I usually get the meat lovers omelette with pancakes. I also love the diner feel and ambience. It's very retro and inviting. Staff is also friendly.

Classic Breakfast

My son and I came to Uncle John's for breakfast, and they did not disappoint! It was fairly busy but we were able to sit at the counter. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I ordered one of the house specialties, California Benedict, which has pecan smoked bacon, tomato, avocado, and of course poached eggs on English muffins topped with the delicious hollandaise sauce. Yum! My son ordered the Classic Breakfast that includes two eggs (any style), hash browns, and any griddle item or toast. He got the pancakes which were huge! Everything is cooked to order and comes out hot. The place is very bright and clean and has that old fashioned cafe feel, IMO.

Belgian waffle with choco drizzle, strawberries, bananas, cream

Yes, eat here. Classic diner fare kicked up a level. Their griddle items are delicious. We tried the French toast as well as the Belgian waffle with choco drizzle, strawberries, bananas, and cream. Delicious. We also had the Classic breakfast which included eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns. All solid.

We came for a casual weekday lunch to celebrate our 22nd anniversary after spending the whole morning at a day spa. We sat outside and enjoyed a little bit of everything. The blackened hamachi tataki was refreshing and perfect for a summer lunch. Their take on steak and eggs, deviled eggs topped with Wagyu, is so simple but packs a punch. The Korean fried chicken was crunchy with a tangy sauce and great for sharing. And of course, we had to get the BBB, which is always a must for us! After all that, we shared the cheesesteak sandwich and I honestly thought I was going to tap out, but it wasn't heavy at all. It was so good that we finished the whole thing. Somehow, we even had room for Beth's hand pie, a delicious peach compote that tasted like a churro and peach pie had a baby. The cocktails were also a highlight. I had the Coco Julius, which is dangerously good because it's so smooth, fruity, and refreshing with orange and pineapple. Hubby had the La Ola with strawberries and hibiscus. Another great meal at OCK!

Unfortunately, on this visit, the portions were super small, and left feeling pretty unsatisfied post-meal. We sat outside, and we also ran into an issue where we found a dead bug in the utensil holder resting right on a fork. It was definitely an unpleasant surprise, but I will say the staff was incredibly apologetic and handled the whole ordeal very professionally. It's a creative spot, but between the tiny portions and the outdoor issue, it fell a bit short for us this time.

I tried the Eggs Benedict... the sauce was okay and the hashbrowns were decent. They're cooked with onion, which was a good addition. So I ate my plate, I finished it, but I don't want to come back for more. Even though I wasn't full. I don't think I've ever left brunch feeling hungry! I also had a vanilla latte, it was good but with a huge espresso machine like they have, they should have way more options for drinks. The atmosphere is nice. It's a huge restaurant, with great lighting. The outside seating looks just as nice as the inside. It's a nice neighborhood so the outside seating is a good option. I won't be back. The food was just not worth it.

Besides all the other little things that were annoying... what got me the most is that I asked for one extra taco so I can share. I didn't mind paying for the extra taco but when the bill came they charged me DOUBLE THE PRICE for one taco plate. If I had known we would've just gotten two taco plates for the amount and price of two. 32$ for 4 tacos is diabolical. I would have really appreciated if the server disclosed that to me before. The taco shells were DRY, STALE, COLD, AND HARD when served. I ended up removing the second taco shell because of how awful they were. They're also flavorless including the salsa, as someone else mentioned in the reviews. Parking also sucks as well. I didn't think it was worth the headache at all. I definitely won't come back.

The restaurant also has a burger making machine so you should order a burger to get a show. We ordered the following: - Banh Xeo Tacos: crunchy, lots of flavor, and great fish sauce on the side. Very refreshing from the fresh herbs. - Shrimp Goi: there's some spice because of jalapeños but it's a dish of so many delicious flavors from spicy, savory, and sweet. Great medley of vegetables that make an excellent appetizer. - Loco Moco: heavy, heart meat dish with rice and burger patty! Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted by Ray and the hospitality he provided the moment I walked in to the moment I left has been such a pleasure. He made sure to set up my table outside nicely and even came by with a bowl of water for my dog (without me having to ask). I was also intrigued by a robot set up in the back of the restaurant and Ray explained it was for their burger patties and vegetables. The vibe is very high end with a darker atmosphere inside but letting in a lot of natural sunlight. There's outdoor seating with 4 tables and a beautiful view of the small park across the street and the Los Gatos hills/mountains. Their menu is in a newspaper form with Vietnamese inspired dishes and drinks. I only had time and space for 1 item today and I went with the Banh Xeo Tacos with jalapenos on the side cause I like my food spicy! The top/edge of the banh xeo "taco" was crispy, but the bottom/middle of it was chewy, almost stale. That's most likely cause of the thickness or the batter. I like how it's packed with protein and vegetables. The bottom layer being greens and bean sprouts, then grilled pork and 3 pieces of shrimp. The proteins were tasty. The nuoc cham/fish sauce it came with was on the sweeter side, which I like. The jalapenos were actually spicy and gave my meal a good kick. It was a bit hard to keep everything in cause of how packed it was and the taco isn't secure, so I took all the protein out and just ate it with every bite. It gets messy, so if you don't like that, maybe take it all out or use a fork and knife. I was quite impressed with the atmosphere, food and especially service. & Ray provided outstanding service. Will definitely be back and bring some family/friends with me!
