I hired Cari for a second time because she was so hardworking and thorough 2 years ago when she organized my guest bedroom and storage area. She absolutely crushed it again, going above and beyond to get my stuff sorted by discard, donate or keep lists. She expertly disassembled bed frames, carefully packed up my fragile items (LOTS of them), and purchased boxes and other moving supplies before she began. Cari donated my chosen items to charity and discarded my rejects, and never appeared judgmental when I absolutely couldn't part with my mom's ancient Guardian Ware roasting pan set, despite my admission that I've never actually used it! She is experienced and understands how hard it is to part with some things, but also will respectfully help you decide if you ask her to. So my not being there wasn't a huge issue in the end, and I felt so relieved hiring Cari to take this on when I couldn't. Her prices are reasonable and she is worth every penny. She also happens to be a great human being, is super friendly, funny and smart! I'm hoping to hire her partner in Boulder to help me organize my new place after my things arrive. What a great coincidence for me that Cari expanded her business to Boulder with her business partner before I ever knew I'd be moving here! Thank you so much, Cari!

My husband and I live on the opposite coast and were unable to be as hands on as we would have liked. Plus my MIL really appreciated her kindness, energetic nature and enthusiasm for her craft. We are overjoyed to see my MIL so relieved and happy. I give Jane Does my highest recommendation!

Updating to 4 stars for picking up my junk, minus one for me crying about the price after not communicating the right stuff or offering me something better in person. Not very happy with pricing. I had a king sized mattress and two box spring for them to junk. Over the phone, they did not tell me about the $19 fee for EACH to be junked, on top of the pricing, which started out at $99 for less than an eighth of a truck and then suddenly when they got here they told me it would be an eighth which would be $179. Plus the fees put me over what I was expecting. Then, they sent pics to the manager and the manager said it was more than a sixth so they charged me $200 something, overall my total was around $310. My stuff was already in the truck, very sneaky to do to people! Losing my best friend was hard enough, having to junk his mattress and then the price just keep going up was horrible. I would've tipped your guys more too if it wasn't for that huge price change. Then they had the audacity to ask to leave a sign for 10% off next time. Haha, no. Definitely won't use them next time, I'd rather hire a random person to take it instead. I added a star for the nice guys, I'm sorry they work for a place that charges so much.

Hours later he says "so so sorry we overslept - my crew ha been working such long hours and we will be there for sure." More hours go by, nothing. My father texted to tell Brian we were canceling since he still hadn't seen anyone show up or heard from him on an update at 1pm, and Brian responded with "we are still coming! My guys have been in contact and are all awake now. Realistic expectation is 3pm. We are the very best movers, and I'm really sorry for the inconvenience." Guess what- it's 5pm, and Brian and his guys still aren't here and never followed up again. This is the rudest most inconsiderate thing I could ever imagine. My poor parents waited hours and hours on these people who didn't even have the courtesy to update them or let them know they couldn't make it. My parents confirmed the time and job the day before and everything, and now are left with nothing and wasted money on equipment. This has to be a scam. Pretty disgusting person this Brian guy is. Absolutely do not trust that this person/business will show up, even if he is in contact with you up until the day before.

They confirmed our appointment a few days before and showed up right on time and with masks (which were still required by the state of Oregon at the time) In two hours they moved all of our big furniture out of one house and into the next, and they did a great job organizing the truck to hold as much as possible, so we took fewer trips. I'd definitely recommend them if you need some help with the heavy lifting part of your move.

Muscle? Okay, I'll give them that. Pro? Mmmmmmm. Not so…read moremuch. Movers? I suppose by definition, yeah, they moved my stuff for me. I really want to give them a better review but I have to vote my conscience on this one. I went with them because of the four quotes I got via yelp messages (kinda cool), they were the only ones that were available on the Friday I needed to move. The price was not my motive to use them but they were considerably lower than the others that I had used in the past (Willamette). Truth is I expected professional movers and I got two guys with a rented uhaul that didn't know how to do moving professionally in my opinion. I have a lot of experience with moving personally. I've crisscrossed the country and crosstown more times than I care to recall. It's about being efficient with your body and with tools to get it done proficiently so not to kill yourselves and damage a bunch of stuff. These guys were not efficient nor in my opinion competent about the business of moving. Moving from a second floor studio to a second floor one bedroom two blocks apart took them the better part of 6 hours. I had to continually sort of question them and prod them along. Something I never imagined I'd have to do with "professional" movers. Like I said, they're nice guys and they're cheap but after the 6 hours I paid for could have been done by other professional movers in 3-4 hours for the same price. Potato, Potahtow? Tomato, Tomahtow? Up to you.

So, when it came time to move again, we wanted to use them, but we had to take bids because money was tight. Like before, their bid came in lower than most, and we made an appointment. Then, an unfortunate event affected our finances, and it seemed the move would have to be postponed. The folks in the office, however, found a way to accommodate us, and the move was on. It was then that Managed Moves did an even better job than before and delivered the best moving experience I've ever had. I've moved many times over fifty years and have a long yardstick to measure. The workers were absolutely amazing! They even offered to remove or cover their shoes to protect our floors. They were efficient and courteous and kept things light and fun while getting the work done. They finished so quickly that the invoice totaled roughly 60% of the estimate. How often does a company reduce

For further proof of how Managed Moves behaves, the response from Krista (the second of the two…read moreowners I spoke to, the one who agreed that her co-owner Steve should be fired for his behavior if he weren't an owner) demonstrates their total dishonesty. She also still can't apologize, and I don't even know what the things "beyond their control" supposedly were, since she's now pulling that one out of thin air. Yes, you had no control over the months that you kept telling me you had things in storage you later admitted you'd already lost. As noted in the review, I considered the settlement insulting, and I told Krista so on the phone. I told her in as many words that the review would remain one star, would remain comprehensive, and that not only was I accepting the settlement only to not have to deal with them anymore, but that I would be mentioning that in the review. For her to feign surprise and disappointment now is gaslighting, pure and simple. She cannot make her company's behavior, which I have laid out as it happened, look reasonable, so she is lying to make me appear unreasonable instead. Again, they lost things, they broke things, they spent months pretending to have those things in storage before admitting they never did. Things disappeared from a room they were told not to enter. (Mostly they just seemed incompetent and crude, but it's pretty hard to think of anything else to call this one but theft.) When my father died during the process, they gave us a new labeling system, then when they lost things that had both versions of the "Keep" label on it, they kept invoking the original labeling system to somehow try to blame us. Given that this was the same company that never expressed any form of condolences, this was basically them spitting on his grave while we mourned. That's who they are when they are caught. Now they are again calling my family liars, but this time in public. What Krista seems to believe is that a settlement for serious failures on Managed Moves' part, even one that she is told at the time is inadequate to the damage done, is a payment for you to pretend that the damage never existed, which is why they ask people to remove their negative reviews and why she is now acting betrayed that I am still telling the truth despite, in her eyes, being paid off. She apparently doesn't see this as money she owed my family for losing and breaking their things, overcharging them, and then lying to them and insulting them for months on end; she just sees that I didn't do my end on what she treated as a bribe. In claiming harassment, Krista is referring to exactly two emails, btw. The first was to alert her I'd updated the Yelp review, as we agreed on the phone. The second was in response to her leaving a similar dishonest reply to a Google review. While she lies and says "more than a year," both were within a few months of us resolving our business. (It has in fact *now* only been five months since we concluded and only seven since we first spoke, so her claim is literally impossible.) It is important to remember that these people will lie about anything. There is nothing you can do to prevent them doing this to your family except running the other way. There's no guarantee Managed Moves will screw up as catastrophically for you as they did for my parents, but if they do, it is guaranteed that they will go to any length to screw you afterward. It's not worth the risk. But if I have to give one piece of advice: When I told them I'd be there on the clean-out days, they argued *hard* for me not to be present. Letting them sway me from being there, knowing what I know now, is one of my biggest regrets, so if you do decide to roll the dice with Managed Moves, make sure they are never in your house without you present. So much heartbreak could have been avoided.
