Portland Movers did a great job of unloading our 2 PODS after a long-distance move. We hired them through Moving Staffers, which PODS recommends for help loading or unloading your containers. Anthony and Emilio worked very hard for 3 and a half hours without a break, were careful, pleasant and polite, assembled beds, and were very agreeable when asked to move a couple of pieces of furniture when we changed our mind about where they should go. First of all, these men are the most honest, reliable and respectful people I've had the pleasure of doing business with!! They came out last minute, I literally texted the night before and they came and cleared a 3000 Sf home with 2 living rooms 7 bedrooms and a 2 bathrooms in all of a few hours and even came to the dump and cleared the 26' truck that they filled not once but 2 times!!!! They are SUPER FAST & EFFICIENT...no slow pokes to price gouge you on time. They left the place clean and clear. On a lighter note, they were super funny and bubbly as well so funny!! We planned to move Memorial Day weekend. We had a truck lined up and these movers. They were easy to text with and responsive. On Saturday morning, we went to go pick up the truck and were told there is only a van which would not fit a king mattress in it. When I told the movers this news, they volunteered their truck at a reasonable rate. The move went off without a hitch. They were careful with belongings, friendly and efficient (not too much talking or standing around) and said they also do junk removal. It was a stressful weekend but it has nothing to do with these movers. They made the whole process smoother. Oh yeah and we moved from a duplex in Woodstock to a house in Lents. THIEFS!!! Unprofessional!!! They stole hoodies and jackets (seriously you that cold?!) tank tops, shirts, music equipment, paintings my mother did for me, and posters , AND overcharged us by over two hundred bucks. The price listed on their website they don't go by, we hired them specifically because I have a bad back and neck due to a car accident where I had to get surgery to replace the disks in my back and neck, so I cannot lift anything heavy. And what do they do, grab all the little stuff and not get the heavy things. I had to leave some of my heavy items in the apartment I moved out from because of them. Lazy wanted to do as little work as possible then went on a "lunch break" where they went through my boxes and took what they wanted. My boxes tape was messed with you can tell they were opened. Rediculous. Hired them a couple years ago and they were great, but this "Sal" guy is not trustworthy, lazy, overcharges, and steals whatever they want to. Also they were saying slurs and talking shit making jokes in Spanish, and didn't know I'm half Mexican and can understand it fluently. Rediculous for less than three hours charged me 650, according to their website it should cost around 400. They included the time they took for lunch as time owed to them for payment. When they did nothing. Don't trust these fools for one second, they're too worried about getting to the strip club and drinking and smoking there meth than they are about doing an honest days job. One of the movers was in a psychotic episode, talking and laughing to himself like a maniac. Disgusting. Get him some help. I do not recommend it has been miserable losing my things to these undeserving rats. If I could give negative stars I would! They don't even deserve ONE. I do not recommend. read more

These guys knocked it out of the park. I needed last minute help to load two 26ft trucks. They showed up within an hour and got right to work. In two hours they loaded one truck complete and finished off the heavy items for the other truck. These guys didn't stop the entire two hours. Thanks again guys!!! read more

I was recommended these gentleman so in turn I recommended them to my niece. Today she is ready to move everything packed and they get a call from Martin. Appoitnment time booked several weeks ago needs to be moved to 1230 from 19am. He stated his truck broke down and he had to get it fixed in 2 hours. Maybe he shoumd have stopped there. He also stated his 3 man crew got delayed at another job, oh and the icing on the cake, the job that was booked more than a.month ago is going to cost extra because she lives far away and his truck takes a lot of gas. Very embarrased I recommended these guys, I sent him a text expressing my feeligs how he just treated my niece and nothing from him. I take my recommendations o others seriously and they do this. My niece called them about her dissapointing text and his service, his reposnse was "oh I'm sorry do you still need us" I was like wwwhhhaaattt. He was actually happy when she said yes. Martin and his team are superb movers. They moved my entire house in under two hours. Their rates are lower than the competition and their service is outstanding. They were careful packing and moving things, they followed all covid-19 safety protocols. I am always a bit anxious every time I have to move. In the future I know I will count on them without hesitation. They communicated effectively all throughout the process, showed up five minute early, got to to work and didn't "drag" (I've seen that in other companies that get paid by the hour). I hate moving, BUT after calling Martin with Portland Movers 24/7 I have never been so at ease with this last move. Martin not only showed up on time but he was courteous and he made me feel like he cared for my personal belongings as if they were his own. I organized my item by rooms and my fragile pieces and Martin and his team pack it all up in boxes and load them in the truck and when he unloaded my boxes at my house everything was fine and my China my grand mother gave me. Martin and his team were phenomenal professional movers. I called a few days in advance to book my appointment and the communication over the phone and over text was enthusiastic and very clear about rates. I opted for truck + two workers. I was nervous at first because my moving job on 5/18 was slightly complicated with two different loading locations (SE and NE Portland) and one final unloading location (N Portland), at an apartment that had several tight turns and two flights of stairs at the end. On top of that, the weather wasn't cooperating and it was drizzling and we had to move in the early evening hours when street parking was a challenge to find. Even with all these obstacles, Martin and his partner were in good spirits, professional, efficient and prepared with a clean truck, blankets, dollies, rolling trucks, and all the ropes and ties to secure things on the moving truck. At the final site, they quickly assessed that my bed foundation couldn't make it through my front door and immediately set about to taking apart the slats down to the bolts. Once through the door and up the stairs to my bedroom, they took out their power tools and set to putting the bed back together again. I think it took half an hour from deconstruction to reconstruction. I was so impressed and grateful. They were gentle with our furniture and gracefully maneuvered walls and stairs without any dings. Forget the bigger companies (whom I called and who were all a bit rushed and curt with me) and go with this small, tight-knit family operation.
