Naturally, I was filled with worry over all the things that could go wrong. I was determined to watch them carefully and make sure that they were not going to damage anything, like my floors, my patio, my skylights, etc. In a very short time I could tell that they were absolutely meticulous, not dropping the bricks but carrying them from the roof to the bin. Inside the house, they were just as careful, protecting the floors, etc. When they were done, they carefully cleaned everything. Then I decided they were the ones I wanted to rip out all the old cupboards and shelves from the garage. They fitted that small job in immediately and did just as good of a job. Then I learned that they do small construction jobs and I hired them to install a vinyl pre-fab garden shed. They showed up with all the materials and put down sand, gravel and a paver pad, leveled it, and put up the shed in a day. I have hired dozens on workers and construction crews over the years and when I find a good one, I like to let people know.

Can't say enough for Konell's work. A developer tore down a house next to ours. That outfit…read more(Renaissance) left a lot to be desired, but the crew from Konell who was subbed to do all of the excavation work was top notch. In addition to handling the on-site work and all the street sewer and water tie ins, they had to do some digging on our property in order to remediate a fuel tank leak. This work was in tight quarters and right next to our foundation so a lot could have gone wrong with a less experienced operator. With Konell I was never worried. These guys are pros and they also keep a tidy site which is always appreciated by those who living in the area.

However, after they cleaned up and left, i found a bunch of staples left in my floors, ceilings, internal walls, and external walls. When we bought our house five years ago, the backyard was basically a blank slate. My wife and I…read morealways talked about turning it into a space we could actually enjoy and be proud to show off when friends and family came over. Like a lot of homeowners, we spent years trying to tackle it ourselves, pulling weeds here and there and telling ourselves we'd eventually get around to the bigger project. Eventually, we realized it was time to bring in the professionals and finally make our vision a reality. I did quite a bit of research and had five different contractors come out to provide estimates. The pricing was all over the place, but NW Quality Construction & Hardscape immediately stood out. Jesus was able to come out within an hour to take a look at the project, and he gave me a rough estimate on the spot that ended up being within a few hundred dollars of the final proposal. That gave me a lot of confidence because it showed he understood the market, knew his craft, and came prepared. Once the project started, their attention to detail really impressed me. Before any work began, they carefully marked everything out and double-checked with me to make sure it matched the plan exactly. Throughout the project, they kept the worksite clean and organized. Since they were using the driveway and part of the street to stage rocks and mulch, they made a point to sweep everything up at the end of each day before heading home. Now that the backyard is finally finished, it honestly feels like we just moved into the house again. After five years of looking at an unfinished space, we finally have a backyard that we're excited to spend time in and proud to share with others. I truly appreciate Jesus and his crew for the care, professionalism, and hard work they put into this project. They transformed our backyard into a space that my family will enjoy for years to come.

I was asked if I wanted plants and help with mulch at the end of the project. I was impressed by the job, so I agreed to get more work done. Unfortunately, I never heard back from the team. I am going to do the work myself now. The communication just faded in the end.

I couldn't find any charitable organization to pick it up, but Frog & Toad not only picked it up, they found an organization that would take it. The second time was a trip to a home near Woodburn to pick up a washer and dryer and bring it to my house in Beaverton. It was a rainy day, and at the last minute I asked if they could also bring a picnic table. They didn't even charge extra (already a good value), as they said it didn't add anything to their time! Great experiences all around. And I appreciate the returning customer discount! I will certainly continue to use Frog & Toad! From the initial call to the final delivery, they are a fantastic group of people!
