I have used this company two or three times to move now (my yelp reviews are hella delayed) and I have been satisfied every single time. I would certainly recommend this company and they go above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied and treated with respect. I've had them help me move with my own truck as well as with their company trucks and every time they move my items with care and have very reasonable prices for the services provided. On my last move, there was a scheduling error by the company in regards to the time the movers would arrive.... Since it was the same day, but just a different time slot it was no big deal (my total move was a small 2 hour job). Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control the movers ended up sitting in traffic for an extra 50 minutes because of an accident on the freeway. I mentioned it to the movers and they got the time adjustment/price difference approved by the manager, because they agreed it wouldn't be fair or right for them to charge me extra for time spent sitting in traffic when my original "move time" was scheduled for way earlier to avoid rush hour traffic. the first time the didnt show up and say someone in the crew has a covid-19 , the second time i tried to work with them the cancel my order on the last day before letting me know , i needed to call a real crew to come and help me on the move. will not work with you again and if you wish to avoid what happen to me i will recommend to avoid. there is much better options read more

They were punctual and determined to get the job done in the estimated time frame. If I could give 10 stars I would! I am doing a large move to a different state and have never used professional movers before. I was extremely anxious and worried. I contacted JR Moving and talked to Joe, who immediately calmed my fears. I spoke with him a couple more times before the big day and he was always very friendly and "calming." Joe sent over two movers to load my ReloCubes, (which are awesome, BTW). They arrived on time, read my stress level and took control of the move. They were friendly and AWESOME. They helped us move our belongings out so we could replace our floor. They came on New Year's Day and were incredibly friendly. They took great care or our very awkward and heavy piano. We're kind enough to help remove handles from the fridge, as well as helping with many things normal movers wouldn't. They returned a month later to help put the things back in place and again did a very careful and efficient job. They squeezed us into the end of a busy day which helped us more than I could express. They were very kind, patient and respectful of our space and belongings. I highly recommend them and will never use another company. read more

Jeramie, Justin, and Jonathan loaded our 26 ft truck in EXACTLY the 3 hrs quoted. These guys rock! They never wasted a minute. They worked well as a team and were very careful with our belongings. My house is on a sloped lot with stairs to the main floor. It never slowed them down. They walked the house and shop with us before the clock started to understand what was being moved and what was being left behind. It allowed them to plan the load. Very professional loaders. We needed to move out 50% of our furniture in order to stage our house before we put it on the market. The two men that came to our house (Jeremy and Kyle) were punctual, they showed up early and were very professional. They listened to our needs and concerns and acted accordingly. They laid a tarp in our garage so that all the furniture would be protected, which we appreciated! They handled everything with care and efficiency and were done within 25 minutes. It was painless and they even did a few smaller lifting jobs for us and crawled up into our garage rafters to bring items down. They know what they are doing and we plan to hire them again once we sell! read more

I had the guys come out for two moves: first they moved me downstairs in my own home, then I brought my mom up from Texas to live with me, and they moved her household goods off the Penske and set her up here. I was impressed, on both occasions, with their reliability, communications, care, courteousness, and expertise. They got through both moves with zero damage to my home and belongings, and I thought their services were very inexpensive, particularly given the liabilities involved to property and to their own physical health. JR moving came to us through the Pod company, they were on their list. They showed up to move an entire house and due to the way Pod works they had no idea of the extent of the work until they showed up at our house. It took them truly an entire day up until past midnight to fill 3 large Pods. I had provided tons of moving supplies, ties for inside the pods, wrapping paper and plastic, tons of blankets AND had done a lot of packing myself. At the end of the day pods were filled and we noticed paint chips on the floor which came from our brand new DWR office shelves. This was concerning but since the pods were filled we could not check! Pods were stored and when JR moving came to unload the pods, we were doing the process over 2 days. When their crew showed up, the 2 gentlemen we had were great, they had not packed the Pods so they had no idea what to expect. When the pods were opened that is when the surprise was there... things had not been tied up they had been thrown on top of each other, shelves and lamps, sofa cushions etc, were loose, unwrapped in the pod. RESULT: our DWR shelves substantially damaged and one of a pair of designer floor lamps broken due to the metal center piece of the bed that broke the foot of the lamp since it had not been bothered to be tied up to prevent it from shifting. SO, I took pictures of the state of the pod when it was opened and contacted Joe immediately! They would come to assess the damage. They looked at the shelves and realized the damage and also the price of each of the shelves which led them to not replace them but rather have a local furniture maker repair them. Repair was done, are they in the same condition as pre- move? No, they do not look new but since the only option was to have them fixed the best they could, this is what we have now. As for the lamp, we moved mid September. Today the lamp pieces were dropped off at my front door as they cannot find anyone who can fix them...(I had to call/text them so many times to get information on my lamp, not once did they initiate a call to keep me informed on the lamp). I am not sure how better prepared we could have been with all the supplies, tie-ons, wrapping etc... to not have our belongings damaged...they did not use all our supplies, maybe they should have... A sad, costly experience.... read more

I'm glad I used their service.We had a team of three men in the morning and another guy who joined us in the afternoon and finished our big move in six hours. Dennis and Roger got more than they originally bargained for when the estimate provided by U-Haul was seriously on the short end. The move took hours longer than planned.
