Still 8 years later and this moving company has take zero responsibility for hitting our car with their uninsured delivery truck. I'm out $500 on my deductible because they are moving your valuables from home to home and ask yourself, are they insured? In my situation they were not insured! I absolutely loved Super Friends Moving! I used them on my recent move July 30th from North Seattle to the South Waterfront of Portland. I booked them about 5 or 6 weeks before the move. I emailed them to add a sofa dump to my list of needs about 2 weeks before the move, and received a very quick response. I will admit that i was nervous not receiving a conformation email or call closer to the date of my move, but nevertheless my movers called 15 minutes before 8am, and were promptly on time for our move! I had a one bedroom apartment with no bed frame, desk, or sofa (easier to buy new IKEA furniture than haul cross-state) and about 80 boxes, mainly medium size. They packed up the apartment in a little over 2 and a half hours, and unpacked in under 2, even though we moved onto the 6th floor (thankfully with an elevator). With the three hour travel time (even though it took them longer in traffic), and the $315 truck rental flat fee charge, our total cost, including the 10% cash discount (BEST DEAL EVER) was exactly as quoted to us, at $1035 Best money ever spent. I booked Super Friends to unload my two portable storage units, based on the fact that they had a Yelp $25 for $50 deal. Of the all the companies I saw on Yelp, they were mostly reasonably priced and had a number of options for reducing cost (e.g., paying cash, moving during the week). Unfortunately, upon moving some of my belongings from our old house, I arrived to find that the street had been dug up by the city and would not be open again until after my scheduled delivery. SF was very flexible with rescheduling the move and did not charge a fee. The guys did a stand up job...one of my units was loaded very haphazardly, but they managed to unload it without breaking anything. They did not break any of my belongings, and also did not dent any of the fixtures or walls when moving in my belongings. In fact, they pointed out the damage to my furniture that was caused by those who loaded my units and gave advice on how to get compensated for the damage. They responded to my instructions on where to put the boxes, and put together my queen bed and dresser without issue. I took off one star because they were a couple of hours late in getting to my home (they did call to let me know that the rain delayed them), they didn't have the tools they needed to put my furniture together, and I had to request that they put down runners because of the water they were tracking in from outside. (None of these issues deterred the success we reached in the move.) I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a small move. read more

We used Super Friends for our recent move from Seattle to Portland. We had a small condo in Seattle, and even though there wasn't a ton of furniture, we didn't want to move ourselves. Despite one of the corniest name's in the industry (and this is an industry with a lot of odd names), we picked them because they had earned a reward from angie's list. They showed up on time, were professional through out the move, and set up everything where we wanted it. None of our furniture was damaged or dirtied during the move. Scheduled a day off work to meet an estimator. Receptionist said he would call a half hour prior to arrival. I waited anxiously, moving is stressful. No call. Appointment time came and went, no show. I called, receptionist said he would call estimator and call me back. No call. I called again. No apology, just that the estimator was not coming. Why? Receptionist didn't know, just not coming. My experience was just like Julie C's (below). Some good reviews here on Yelp and elsewhere so we were optimistic. Scheduled an estimate for today. They called yesterday, said the estimator's car was in the shop and he'd need an extra half hour today to stop and get a truck in town. I said fine. I come home from work this morning to meet the estimator and as I walk in, they call and say, "I don't think we're going to be able to get there today." Twenty minutes later, I get a second call from a second guy saying, "We're not going to be there on time." Disorganized and unreliable. Not a great combination for a moving company. read more

We used Super Friends after a glowing recommendation from our realtor, moving from Issaquah to Camano Island. She couldn't have been more right! James, Evan, Robert, and CJ were the best!! What a team! They handled everything like it was theirs, and packed with care. Then, once at the island, they unloaded the truck in gale force winds with pelting rain, yet never complained and never let anything get wet. Plus you couldn't meet a friendlier group of guys. I hired the fellas to unload a storage container I had shipped to my new apartment in PDX. Alex and Levi showed up right on time and ready to get kickin'. I was moving into the top floor of a building with no elevator (I was honest with them from the get-go, 4 floors, no lift, basically a free crossfit workout if you're one of those "glass-half-full" types?). The guys were cheerful, and got the job done super fast. I was pretty stressed about this move, especially with a lot of moving parts (out of state shipping company, portland city permits, top floor apartment) and these guys helped the entire parade come together. My complaint with Super Friends is with their claim process which for me was an arduous and frustrating process. I moved from Seattle to King City, Ore. I took pictures of all damaged items and made a list of missing items. I was dealing with Jakub whom I believe is the owner. Emails were never answered and the amount of Jakub's reimbursement check (which supposedly he mailed out on 4-8--17 and which I have not received) would not begin to cover the amount of damage done to my household goods. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It is my hope that other customers will not have to go through what I did. read more

It's been more than a year since we moved, and these folks were GREAT! So friendly, nerdy and their speed AND attention to detail was truly super! They even got our stuff from Seattle to PDX through a huge storm that could easily have made everything messy. I've also heard from friends who have used them, and who have noticed that they do a good job of making sure they obey city rules and all that (Some movers, hoo boy.). Hired them for an in-house move: moving washer and dryer down narrow stairs from second floor to new laundry room in basement and moving a number of other heavy or large items from one place to another in our house. They were very sensitive to our concerns about the newly painted walls, hardwood floors, and new carpet and vinyl flooring in the basement. Called this company and set up an appointment for a Friday. The estimator came out and we spent nearly an hour going over what was included in our out of state move. I never was given a business card, a brochure, nothing. I waited for the estimate to be emailed to me until the following Wednesday, but never received a thing.
