1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at E.D. Marshall Jewelers, especially because my family has been doing business with them for three generations. On March 7th, I had an appointment to have my Rolex appraised. Sergio assisted me and provided two options: an outright purchase price or a consignment price. I chose to consign the watch based on the information he gave me, including his assurance that he believed the watch would sell within about a month. When I left my Rolex with them, I was given an extremely generic receipt. There was no detailed description of the watch, no itemized breakdown, and no clear consignment terms--literally just my name and a handwritten quoted price. Looking back, I should have questioned this immediately, especially considering the value of the item I was leaving in their possession. One month turned into more than five months. By August 15th, my watch still had not sold. What made the experience even worse was the lack of communication. I would email Sergio and sometimes go weeks without receiving a response. When you entrust a business with a Rolex, you should not have to repeatedly chase someone down just to get an update. Before picking up my watch on August 15th, I asked Sergio if E.D. Marshall would honor the original outright purchase price I had been quoted in March. He declined and offered me approximately $2,000 less, telling me that gold prices had gone down. I found that explanation extremely disappointing, especially since my original appraisal and consignment involved a Rolex watch--not simply scrap gold. When I arrived to pick up my watch, Sergio was there. After more than five months of waiting and poor communication, I expected at least some acknowledgment of how the situation had been handled. Instead, he simply retrieved my watch and sent me on my way. This is especially disappointing because I'm the third generation of my family to purchase jewelry from E.D. Marshall. There was a history and level of trust there, which made this experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, that relationship ends with me. Based on my experience, if you're considering selling or consigning a valuable watch, I would recommend going somewhere else. Five months of waiting, little to no communication, inadequate paperwork, and then an offer $2,000 below the original quote was a complete waste of my time. E.D. Marshall is not the business I remember it being, and I will not be returning.

Even though they were not able to do the repair themselves, they took the time to give me a thoughtful response, understood how important it was to preserve the originality of the watch, and recommended another shop that may be able to help. I really appreciated that they did not just give me a quick "we can't do it" response. They genuinely seemed to care and wanted to help me find the best option. Great customer service and very friendly people. I would absolutely recommend reaching out to them.

We came in with a somewhat complicated request, and both Edwin and the owner went out of their way to accommodate us without hesitation. Communication was fast, the process was seamless, and the care they put into their work really shows. I'm beyond happy with my ring and the resizing service, everything turned out beautifully. It's rare to find a place that combines skill, efficiency, and true customer care. I would highly recommend working with Edwin.

I typically don't write reviews, but after multiple attempts over the past few years, I feel like I…read moreshould share my experience. I first visited a couple of years ago to put my name down for a Rolex Submariner. I understood going in that it would likely take time, and I was completely fine with that. I left my information and expected at the very least some sort of follow-up or communication along the way. Fast forward nearly three years later, I never received a single text, call, or update of any kind. I decided to stop back in a few days ago, thinking maybe I could check in, reintroduce myself, and finally get the process moving. Honestly, that ended up being a mistake. When we walked in, not a single sales associate acknowledged us. No greeting, no eye contact, nothing. I even walked toward one associate, and she turned away and went to the back. At that point I figured I'd just be direct. I approached a man (I don't remember his name) and politely said, "Hi, I'm looking to purchase my first watch and I'd love for it to be a Rolex." Instead of any real conversation, he immediately told me to scan a QR code to fill out my information. While I was trying to ask a few questions, his responses felt short, agitated, and dismissive, like he really didn't want to talk. He barely made eye contact the entire time. A friend of mine bought a watch from this AD and mentioned that when they add you to a list, an associate usually texts you so you can communicate and stay updated. I never received anything like that the first time, and now after trying again, it felt like the same experience all over. I understand demand is high and there's a process, but customer service and basic respect shouldn't be optional. Maybe I'm younger than the typical buyer, but that doesn't mean I'm not serious or don't have the money to spend. I walked in ready to start a relationship and make a meaningful purchase, and instead felt completely brushed off. After nearly three years and two separate attempts, I'm left feeling like customers are only valued if they fit a certain image. I really wanted my first watch to come from here, but based on the lack of communication and how I was treated in-store, I'll likely be looking elsewhere.
