I stopped by today to have the battery in my watch replaced. The face of this watch is small, and what may look like a second hand in the photo is actually a crack. My heart sank when it was returned to me scratched and cracked. I did not hand it over in that condition. The damage clearly happened while it was in his care, yet he claimed it was already like that. Why would I replace a battery on a watch that was already damaged? Lesson learned: if you choose to have your watch battery replaced at this business, take a clear photo before handing it over to document its condition "before and after." I will never return to this business. I'm still in shock that he had the nerve to blame me rather than take responsibility for his actions. read more

Very personable people. Needed to take a watch in to get a battery change. Small by pleasant shop. Lots of Jewelry to buy from rings to necklaces to watches. Loretta was great. Dropped off at 11AM and her Watch repair guy comes in at Noon. Had it done about an hour later. Called me. Price was $10. Very fair. I am taking over more of my watches to get batteries in mine. Then surprise my wife by getting her batteries replacement too on her watches. Great store, friendly people, fair prices. I have two watches that will need bands, one needs a new crystal and needs some cleaning. One will need to be looked at because it does not move to change the time. I've been doing business with Loretta's for quite a few years now. However, lately I have noticed the store has become very cheap looking and the service poor. The last time I was in Phillip spent over a half an hour on the phone with his cousin who was trying to have some repair work done to his car. His cousin got far more attention than I did. Can I give less than one star? After cutting my chains completely wrong my husband took them back for Philip to fix them. Hubby pointed out the tape on each chain, depicting the desired lengths (why they ignored these initially is beyond us!). To Philip's credit he turned out the corrections that same day---HOWEVER-- when my husband brought them home and we measured them one was still wrong!! Instead of 20" he made it 21", which is still wrong. Jeepers! This means he DOESN'T CHECK HIS OWN WORK. So we're scratching our heads. Not going back, though. read more

I'm writing this review because I have to be thankful for all the time Loretta (the owner) and Phillip (the on-site jeweler) have given me in repurposing some old jewelry. I also needed to resize my engagement ring, and Phillip did it within 2 hours as I didn't want to leave it overnight. I got engaged less than a year ago so I cannot sleep without my ring. Loretta made sure to call me as soon as the pieces were ready. I am glad I found this place and friendly duo as well. I was surprised that they don't have more reviews, so I asked and learned that they had another location on Ray Rd. for 10+ years and lost all the reviews when moving to this location. I've had a ring resized, necklace and bracelet repair and 4 watch batteries replaced here. Overall good experience. Two of the watches were not working after the battery repair which they told me was because they needed cleaning ($35 + $8) so not sure about that since they were working before. Hmm but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Also not sure how the pricing works because I was charged $8 and $10 for battery replacement not sure why the difference. The turn around is pretty fast about 2-3 days on repairs and the watch battery replacement they can do on the stop if they are open. Yes, I've gone there twice when they were supposed to be open and weren't so don't go towards the end of the day because they might have left early or at least call before you go. read more

I've never written a Yelp review before but I'm so disappointed with my experience here that I felt I had to. I came in for a simple battery replacement for my watch. I had a pleasant conversation with the woman who worked there (presumably Loretta) while the man quickly replaced my battery in the back of the store. Everything worked well and I left the store satisfied. Fast forward several months and my watch suddenly started running very fast. I figured that it couldn't be the battery since I had it replaced only months before. Thinking that some part of the watch mechanism had broken, I brought it into a watch repair store. The owner opened it up right in front of me, looked at it for just a few seconds and asked me who had replaced the battery for me. It turns out that the man at Loretta's had used the wrong size battery. It didn't fit into the slot correctly. It was too thin and was able to move about freely within the slot. It's amazing that it worked for the few months that it did. He then put in the correct sized battery and it fit like a glove and my watch now works perfectly again. I can't speak for Loretta's work with jewelry but I would stay clear of this store for anything having to do with watches. I would have no confidence that they could repair a watch given that they couldn't even do a simple battery replacement correctly. read more

By far the worst place, I took my ring in to get the setting tightened. The prongs were loose and I was able to move the stone.. so I took it here, they charged me $20 and didn't even fix it. They took my money, called me the next day and gave me my ring back exactly how I gave it to them. So I went home, researched it, and tightened the prongs myself. By far the worst place, they scam you. Told my mom about it. Turns out they've been scamming people for years! My mom bought what she thought was a diamond ring, she took it to get verified to see if it was real, the sold her a FAKE diamond ring. Save your time and money; DO NOT go here or recommend them!!!
