I had a wonderful experience with Ultimate Staffing - so much so that I asked if THEY were hiring! Luckily for me, the excitement was mutual and they happened to have just opened up a position, so they hired me! It's been great so far, so I wanted to share my story to inspire anyone looking for work who may be unsure about whether or not to reach out to Ultimate (in my experience the answer is YES!)... I was initially called in for an interview after responding to a ZipRecruiter ad, and met with Luke. We hit it off and I left feeling good about my prospects - I had resigned from my previous job almost a month before, and was starting to get a little antsy, but after our meeting I felt reassured. Come to find out, Luke is the manager of this whole branch and still takes the time to meet with candidates, which I really respect. I'd never worked with a staffing firm before and didn't know what to expect, but Luke put me at ease by walking me through Ultimate's process. At the end of the interview I recorded a brief "Video Select" interview video which he intended to show to employers, which I thought was pretty cool because I wouldn't have to drive all over town for as many introductory interviews. As I left he told me he was going to submit me for a $16-$18/hr Customer Service position he thought would be a good fit, which sounded good to me. However, the next day, I called him and explained that after some deep thought, I'd realized that I wanted to go into talent recruitment myself - I told him how impressed I was with Ultimate and asked if they had any internal positions. Things moved quickly from there and I started about 2 weeks later! One of my favorite things about working with Ultimate is their special focus on making every experience remarkable. I love coming into work every day and helping to create those great experiences for others, and I feel fulfilled by my career. One of their staffing agents said that they would no longer work with me if I file a report with the US Department of Labor. I have since been contacted by someone at the executive level; however, have also just been made aware that when requesting an agent's supervisor she gave me the contact information of someone she supervises instead. This means, that this person was included in email correspondence wrongfully and with complete disregard of my well-being. I sent three pdf's to the executive I'm in contact with that contain the emails in which one of the staffing agents gave me the name and contact information of the person she supervises rather than her supervisor. He stated that he was not able to read the attachments. In my opinion, I find it very sad that the staffing agents have such disregard for the reputation of their company and the reputation of it's executives. Sadly, due to the depth of dishonesty at this company, they have a score of "F" on Better Business Bureau also. It's amazing to me that the staffing agents value lies and bullying more than the future of their employer. The woman who gave me the name and contact info of the person she supervises rather than that of her supervisor is Marilu Pena. I was placed from Ultimate Staffing by May, who has been extremely helpful and supportive. I believe she gave me a good starting ground and left the rest up to me. My contract was extended, I was promoted, and received a raise after two months. May helped push for that raise given the extra responsibility I was taking on. She went to bat for me, which made the negotiation process more comfortable. I'm not sure if I'll end up in a permanent role at my current assignment, but if not, I'm confident that Ultimate will set me up in a favorable role, in which I can excel, in the future. read more

I'm sure there are better staffing agencies out there. If you value your time, don't bother coming here. I came in for an "interview" and already the recruiter was telling me they don't have jobs for what I am looking for. I should have known already that this is a company that doesn't care to find people jobs. I was looking for any office jobs, HR, management positions. I followed up again next week and they still had no jobs for me. Being that I'm from Houston TX. I visited Rob back in February and Rob was pretty good at keeping contact with me for a bit but then he has left the company and now there is another girl there that took over his accounts. I tried calling her a few times when I found out that Rob was no longer there and never got a call back until I left 3 or 4 messages. When she did finally call me back the call was rushed and was more interested in getting off the phone then giving follow up questions. I kept her on the phone on purpose so that I can give her a clear understanding of what I'm looking for and all I got at the end was "ok". That was a bit more then 2 months ago and still yet to hear back from her. I wish Rob Clark was back because at least he kept up with me and replied to calls and emails. I relocated suddenly to the Austin area about 5 months ago from D/FW and had to find a new job. It was a really stressful time when I was looking on my own as I did not know the Austin area at all. Marilu (my recruiter) from Ultimate Staffing really saved me! The whole experience working with Ultimate was really enjoyable. Everyone is so nice and extrememly helpful. Everytime I called in, I was able to get a detailed update on the progress being made and contacts who were reviewing my information. During my initial meeting, Marilu asked me what I was looking for and really took note of what my needs were. She asked me to record a short video about myself and my skillset that she would send out along with my resume. Initially I was kind of skeptical about this as I have worked with many other recruiters in the past and none had ever done this before, but it really paid off!! The first position that Ultimate found for me was so much better than what I was even looking for. I gave a strict commute area in which I wanted a position in and a firm salary requirement and Ulimate not only met my requests, but actually surpassed my expectations. It took them a few weeks to find a match for me, but again I had strict requirements. I could not be happier with the service they did for me. My new employer really liked working with them as well. Despite being registered over the years with this office and another Ultimate facility in a different part of the country, I have only been sent on one assignment. It was with a company that is known for a high turnover that they cater to. This customer is pretty much the only one they have, so have not been able to get any work beyond a short 3 week assignment. If you don't mind doing a limited placement with a churn and burn outfit, give it a try. If you want more than one job placement, go elsewhere. read more

I haven't had any luck with them and its been over two weeks since I completed the tests they assign to place employees. On the phone they didn't have any jobs available, however when I went in they had some data entry jobs available which I didn't qualify for because I cant type 55wpm (I'm at 40 wpm with a BS degree but that's not enough to get me a data entry job). The staff was friendly but I haven't heard back from them. I probably wont contact them again because they offered me jobs that were way too far away from my house. read more

It was very important to me to find an employment agency that was genuinely going to help me attain a job in this crazy economy. I was contacted via LinkedIn by Marilu regarding a short term assignment she was helping a client fill. She was knowledgeable about the position and the company and after we met she submitted my resume to the client.
